Our little preemie was taken at 8:37pm by emergency c-section. Nearly three months early, and the little guy only weighed in at 1 lbs 11 oz. He will stay in the NICU about 10 weeks, with so many ups and downs, such a scary roller coaster ride! It all began on July 16th, when I saw my OB Andrew for the first time after switching my health care provider from Kaiser to Aetna. He noticed that I had been through a severe preeclampsia. My blood pressure was through the roof. My whole body is swollen, especially swelling in hands, arms, feet and legs. He also did another ultrasound for me, well the findings were the baby hadn't gained enough weight at 27 weeks and 3 days gestation. He was too small. After he reviewed all my health record from Kaiser Permanent since I got pregnant. He had a serious conversation with me and my husband on the phone. My husband rushed to the office. The last words that doctor Andrew said, "You and your baby are in danger, seriously, no joking. I will sent you to the best hospital, Huntington Memorial Hospital. Now, go to hospital immediately, and find the ob emergency entrance, looking for doctor Barber and he will take care of you and your baby. You will probably have an emergency c-section to deliver your baby overnight. "My husband drove me to the hospital immediately. I still couldn't believe after I staying in the hospital after surgery that everything was looking great! Up till this point I was having a normal first pregnancy with zero complications. The last thing I expected was for the emergency surgical delivery of my son unexpectedly. Dr. Andrew Yeh and his nurse Yi Ling are two AMAZING and CARING people who I cannot thank them enough for taking care of me. Dr. Yeh is extremely patient, he sat down and we discuss some issues for over 20 minutes which he answered all my questions in detail. He is very intelligent with many years of experience. I felt very comfortable around him and I felt that I was in good hands. I had bad experiences from previous OB-GYN that doesn't explain anything and always rushing to see the next patient. This review is for the Dr. only. I'll admit the the staff has been better with us ever since I got upset with them. So that is great, glad that most of his staff have made a conscious effort. Despite that, Dr. Andrew Yeh is a great doctor. He assessed all of our concerns with our first baby. He was very attentive to my wife and was always up front and straight forward abouteverything. He is 100% for an all natural pregnancy and birth unless any special circumstances. When my son was about to be born (2 days after due date), my wife was only dialated 1cm. And he would've have sent us home, but our baby's heary rate was fluctuating strangely during my wifes contractions, so Dr. Yeh, instead of using medication to induce labor decided to place a cooks balloon to aid in my wifes dilation and avoid the use of medication. Slowly eased.her in to a few mild medications and delivered our baby safely and healthy. We are so appreciative of his work and care with our son, and I would recommend him. read more

If the rating was just for Dr. Yeh I would have given him 5 stars. However, I decided to give him 2 star rating mainly because I had a bad experience with his office staff. I went to see Dr. Yeh for my second pregnancy. I have a high deductible insurance plan, and after probably the 4th visit, Dr. Yeh's office manager (I don't know what his name is, it is the older Asian man that works at his office) told me that Dr. Yeh would continue to see me IF I pay cash instead of using my insurance plan to pay for office visits. The office manager's reasoning was that Dr. Yeh had a lot of past patients with high deductible plans that would get services from him and not pay him after. The office manager went on to tell me that if I wanted to keep Dr. Yeh as my OBGYN and to deliver my baby, I would have to pay him about $2500 UPFRONT. I was very upset at that point, because had they told me this from the beginning, I would have looked for another OBGYN who could work with my insurance plan. From my perspective, that felt like a bait and trap tactic to get me to pay cash. I asked the office manager what would happen if I did pay upfront and Dr. Yeh was not able to deliver my baby for whatever reason. How would I be compensated for the payment that I had already paid to the office. The office manager said he didn't have a policy to compensate patients in case Dr. Yeh was not able to perform the delivery, because that had never happened before. I didn't think his answer was good enough, especially when he was demanding that I paid upfront for Dr. Yeh's service. After my conversation with the office manager, I decided to look for another OBGYN. In conclusion, if you decide to go with Dr. Yeh as your OBGYN, I would suggest asking the office to check your insurance plan first and make sure they can work with what you have. Otherwise, you might get hit with an unexpected bill down the road. Also, I caught a couple of billing mistakes from Dr. Yeh's accounting staff. The biller had put the wrong codes for my visits, and I ended up having to call the insurance company to correct the mistakes. So if you receive any bill from Dr. Yeh's office please check to make sure those visits were coded correctly. read more

Dr Yeh really cares about his patients. It may not always seem that way because of how busy he is but just the fact that he will squeeze any patient into his extremely busy schedule if they really need it says it all. His actions are better communicated than his words because there are language and cultural differences that may be off-putting to those who are unfamiliar with it. However, when it comes down to it, Dr Yeh skillfully produces results. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and as a DO, he uses a more holistic approach with his patients than MD doctors who throw prescriptions at anything and everything. Of course, he uses medications when necessary but if there is an alternative that can be tried first, Dr Yeh knows about it and will educate you about it to see if it could work for you. Yes, the wait times can be extremely long, which can get frustrating, but I understand than OBGYNs constantly have things come up because he is always on-call for one hospital or another. It's a price I'm willing to pay for an a doctor who cares to meet the needs of every patient. It's comforting to know that if I was the one who needed urgent care, he would adjust his schedule to accommodate me. read more

Dr. Yeh isn't my gynecologist or obgyn. He didn't even deliver my baby. What he did do though which I'm very grateful for is stitch up my vaginal tear after delivering my baby in a birthing center. I delivered in a pool with a midwife instead of a hospital because I wanted a different setting and better emotional experience than what I got with my first born. Unfortunately and maybe due to my sons size, I tore in a complicated manner that required surgical repair. Dr Yeh made me feel comfortable and told me step by step what he was doing. Dr. Yeh has giving me the absolute best experience giving birth to my 5th child. I felt safe and treated like royalty the entire time I was there. I never had an experience like this at any other hospital I giving birth at. I had my third child at this same hospital in 2016 and decided to have my last child there because the staff and experience was super professional and caring. and sure enough this was the best decision I could have made. Dr Yeh was super nice and had the best energy a patient could wish for. I had some BP complications and the whole staff took care of me like I was family. Mr. yeh is very gentle and nice. I really like his service. He asked multiple questions which I really liked about him. He really wants to know exactly what is going on to give you a correct consultation. His staff can be better. I did some bloodwork and 4 days later I still haven't got a call back. If I could give the doctor -5 stars I would. I don't know where to start. 1 year again, I was referred to Dr. Yeh and since then it's been horrible. The doctor ask for upfront $2400 to due my procedure, but because if the type of insurance I had he said he always have problems of them not paying him what he wants. The day of the procedure surgery I paid $1500 thinking it was for the facility. After the surgery and the recovery vist, Dr. Yeh said that my insurance didn't pay him what he wanted just like he thought, he said these insurance company dont understand he save my life and the amount they paid was nothing. He ask me if I could give him more money. I told him that he between him and the insurance company. So, coming forward. The issue I had the surgery for has come back worst. At my new doctors office visit I signed a medical release form and the faxed over to Dr. Yeh office, the front desk staff told my new doctors staff that they will not fax over my medical records and that I would have to come pick them up. Thinking there must be some kind of misunderstanding I called the office. I was told that the doctor lefted a note in my file not to release record and I had to come and get them. I informed the lady that I can come get them because I was having difficulty walking. She said you can have someone to come get them, but they would have to prove that they are relatives. I ask to speak to the doctor but was told he was busy. 5 mins later I received a called from the front desk manager and he told me that I have to come in because they dont want to jeopardize faxing them to a wrong number, I told him I can walk, and he immediately got up set. Then he said " plus I see you have a balance of about $300. I told him I dont owe anything and ask is that the reason I can't have my medical records". He said No, "you can have your medical records but if you come or someone on your behave a check is not given or I will be placed in Collection. They will report me Collection. I told them you have never billed me, because I didn't owe anything "He said well we tried to calling you". So, I believe if I show up or a relative they will try to bill me for a visit or something to have a current transactions to push forward to Collection and change the amount to where it looks different from the original. So, I am in a bind. Due I pay an amount that I do not owe, and prolong the hysterectomy that I need and stay in PAIN!!!!! or Just let him put me in Collection and put myself jeopardy that he will bill me way more, just because. This is my second visit to dr. Yeh's office. I had great experience when it was my first time a year ago, that was why I decided to come back even though I had to pay out of pocket for the visit. However, not sure what happened, but this time the experience was horrible. The front desk lady almost messed up on my insurance. Good thing I have some knowledges about insurance and I asked her to double checked with my insurance. Otherwise I'd get a "surprise" bill later on. I literally felt being rushed in and out of the office. The total amt of time being there was prob about 15min and that included wait time. Dr. Yeh was in a great rush. Didn't feel like he was listening to my concern and couldn't answer my questions either. Besides that, he asked me to participate in his study with pharmaceutical company regarding provider and patient relationship. He told me he needed to record a brief conversation between us. I wasn't feeling comfortable with that so I denied it. He suddenly became UPSET, TORE UP two papers in front of me and throw it in the trash can and said "here is your meds and good luck" and stepped out of the office. WTH!!!!! That was very UNPROFESSIONAL on top of feeling not being cared about during the visit. I've always trying to be considerate and letting his students to be in the office during my visit but that doesn't mean I had to participate in any of your study!!!! I even asked the front desk lady when I left cuz I was thinking maybe he has some patient that was in delivery and he prob needed to rush over. Which I'd completely understand since my case is not urgent I guess. But the front desk lady said "oh dr yeh is busy and he has meeting to go to". Really?!!! Your meeting is more important than patients in the office?!! Anyway, tips of the day. Dr. Yeh is such a great doctor! I was in a hurry to find an Ob/gyn in the Arcadia area, called his office and the office staff was able to squeeze me into their tight schedule. Dr. Yeh was very knowledgeable. He also took time to explain everything with a model and made sure I understood everything. He really listened to all my concerns and told me all of the possible outcomes so I was prepared. The nurse YaLin was very friendly and helped answer my questions about my insurance. My friend went to Dr.Yeh for a c-section and he did a really good job with the surgery. The scar was barely visible after. My friend was so surprised how well her scar was recovering. She has been seen Dr. Yeh for a couple of years. We all feel he is a patient doctor, stays on top of everything. Because of him, my mom was able to get referred to a good surgeon. Dr. Andrew Yeh has totally changed my mind. He earned his way to do business. Now he becomes my O.B. Doctor, My husband and I are very pleased. I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife who speaks limited English and speaks Chinese as she has been in the States for only a few years. Although she already has an OBGYN (who's very good by the way), unfortunately he doesn't speak Chinese so my wife asked me to find her a OBGYN that does speak Chinese so she can communicate with the doctor without me having to go every visit. Upon checking Yelp, I gave her a few phone numbers to call so she can SPECIFICALLY ask if the doctor and some of the office staff speak Chinese. What follows below was the TERRIBLE experience she received by the staff of Andrew Yeh, DO: On 12/3 around noon, my wife called their office to ask if the doctor and some of the staff spoke Chinese because her english was extremely limited, upon hearing "yes", my wife asked to book an appointment. The receptionist said "no need" and she can come down for a same day appointment. My wife left her English class early so she can drive down to the doctor's office right away. At around 2:35pm, my wife arrives at Dr. Yeh's office. Once she gets there a receptionist by named Yen (yelpers, beware of Yen). By the way, Yen was the receptionist who spoke with my wife over the phone and hands her the new patient paperwork which is obviously written in English, a language that my wife has already explained to her that she does not understand. However, none of the above is really the bad part, what is sad is how Yen treated my wife in terms of attitude and service. My wife who speaks very limited English let alone does not know how to read and write English did not know how to fill out the new hire paperwork or the release of medical records from our previous doctor so she filled out the paperwork to the best of her knowledge leaving many parts out because she didn't understand. Why did my wife think that Yen was rude, impatient, and had a very bad attitude? Here goes: Every time my wife handed her the clipboard back with parts unfilled because she didn't understand what was asked of her, Yen would tap very aggressively on the clipboard and ask: "WHY DIDNT YOU FILL THIS OUT?!?" kind of like how a teacher would scold a student (did my wife really need to go to a Doctor's office to be treated like a 10 year old?) By the way, each time, my wife asked her a question about a part to fill out regarding the new patient paperwork and previous doctor release, Yen would quickly walk away and mention with attitude "how busy she was", and how she was "dealing with some issues in China". What a receptionist needs to do on duty dealing with "issues in China" is beyond wonder to me. Almost a hour and a half later with the new patient and prior doctor release paperwork still not filled out because the staff was "too busy, my wife tried to hand the paperwork to Yen, Yen upon seeing that the FAX # of the previous doctor was not filled out, that is when Yen lost it, "WHY IS THE FAX # NOT FILLED OUT?!?! WITHOUT THE FAX # HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GET THE RECORDS?!? CANT YOU SEE HOW BUSY WE ARE?!?!?! That's when my wife left the office. I then called the office to ask what happened between their staff and my wife? Keep in mind, I was not very upset since there are always two sides to each story. Here was the exchange between the receptionist (not Yen) who picked up the phone. Me: "Hey, my wife just called very upset that she was treated very poorly by your office, I would like to know the name of the person who dealt with my wife so I can make sure to reflect the right person in our yelp review". Receptionist: "Well, I don't know who your wife or the person who helped her, we're really busy right now, so you can just leave your negative review on the entire office". REALLY?! I just call to tell you there was a bad experience with a patient and you're response is go ahead be our guest, write your review, because I am really busy. Do we get paid to not be busy? I would love a job where I am not busy, sorry but work is busy. A few things to note, I wrote this poor review because my wife RARELY if EVER complains about poor service whether we are at a restaurant or most places really. She's the type to just let things slide, for her to call me and complain about bad attitude and service and would want to call someone out by name... that's when attitude and service must be terrible beyond comprehension. A office manager by the name of Sammi did call me after I requested to speak to a supervisor. He called to apologize and admitted that his staff was visibly IRRITATED because my wife didn't fill out the paperwork properly. Which is sad since the reason she went in the first place was to find a reputable doctor who spoke Chinese. In return all she got was attitude and no service. Dr. Yeh has been a life saver! He's been one of the best doctors I've seen in my life and I wish more doctors were like him. When my wife first saw him in the emergency room, he was quick to diagnose and reassure her. He got her taken care of and made us feel like a priority even though it was well past midnight. Following up with him in his clinic was also an amazing experience. His bedside manner is professional yet welcoming. His office staff were friendly and worked quickly as well. I never would have thought going to the doctors office could be so smooth. The offices look new, everything is clean and the wait time is minimal! I am new to the area and just needed an annual exam (not pregnant). This office was great! I got an appoint the same week I called. The receptionist were nice and the MA was so sweet. The Doctor was very companions and patient. Made me feel like a person and not a number. He has great bed side manner and actually talked to me about my intake form. My exam took exactly 48 mins from walking into the door to walking out (with new patient paperwork). I will keep coming here as long as I am located in the area. Great experience. read more

Dr. Yeh is a great OB/GYN with excellent bedside manner and made me feel comfortable during each visit. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything simply and thoroughly so that I am able to understand and contribute to my own care. He has great communication with his patients and he is willing to answer any questions you may have. He will absolutely do everything in his power to give you quality care and I truly believe he has his patients best interest in mind. He will assess any problem you have and will take the proper steps to treating you without jumping directly to unnecessary and invasive measures, which I appreciate. Dr. Yeh is amazing! Some of these reviews I'm like are we talking about the same guy? Since day 1 he's been professional, attentive, and enthusiastic. Always saying things like "baby is cute, look at her little belly", makes me laugh. He is so giving, you can tell. He always has students and you can see him diligently teaching and explaining to them which I don't mind because how else will they gain their knowledge and experience in the medical field. And he volunteers at hospitals with doctor shortages. His machine doesn't print the clearest ultrasound pic but somebody's character and expertise is more important to me than a picture. He was an amazing doctor throughout my pregnancy and during the delivery! Made a world of a difference for the delivery process. This was my second baby and if I have any more children I will definitely go back with Dr. Yeh. When he checked on me after delivery he was so sweet and nice. You can tell he really cares about his patients. Personally I love that he would always offer a more natural option first versus some doctors that just write a prescription right away. My sister also goes to him and loves him as well! He was out of town when she delivered but drove straight to the hospital upon landing to see her immediately. His front desk staff are usually a student and then an older lady. She has always been sweet with me and would remember me and ask how my sister was doing. He's a great doctor and I would definitely recommend him! read more
