A classic steakhouse experience. Very traditional atmosphere, looks like something out of the 1960s. Starters were great, ordered the tomatoes which were fresh and came with bleu cheese and steakhouse, surprising how good the steak sauce was with the tomatoes. Shrimp cocktail was also good, cocktails sauce could have used a little kick but otherwise excellent. The porterhouse was definitely not Peter Lugers, despite some of the reviews. It was chewy and tough in places, not bad and presentation great but not world class steakhouse caliber. I really did like the onion straws, though the portion is huge. Key lime pie was nothing special but lots of whipped cream if you like that. I loved the experience, wish the steak was just a little better.

We went with a group of four on March 24, 2026 to Andre's Steakhouse, and as always--the food was outstanding! This was our second time having Elmer as our server (he's originally from NY), and he is hands down the best. He gave us a great recommendation to order a steak for 2 instead of four--and he was absolutely right... it was more than enough! We started with wedge salads and shrimp cocktails, which were both incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. The steak itself was delicious. We ordered it medium, and it initially came out a bit more medium-rare--but Elmer handled it right away without hesitation. He made sure everything was corrected perfectly and even surprised us with a piece of bacon on the house... which was unbelievable! We ordered three sides, which were fantastic German potatoes, cream of spinach and mushroom mushrooms. Elmer truly made the whole experience. Great service, great personality, and he knows exactly how to take care of his guests. We have already made our reservation for Easter Sunday and have asked for Elmer as our server. New Yorker knows how to take care of other New Yorkers. This place never disappoints!

After a few drinks, our family table of 9 took over the dining room laughing and joking until the waiter came out of his shell...we had funny bones and spoons and bowls of German Schlag, kitchen staff with spoons covering desserts, coffee, etc. Oh yeah, and the steaks were great, too! We'll we back if they'll have us!

I wish I could come here every week! You must sit at the bar here, the vibe is so relaxing and totally classic. My mom and I walked here from the place we were staying since we had driven by it so many times and finally decided to check it out. We are suckers for a classic steakhouse, and this place was everything we were craving. We were welcomed by a small group of locals who had a great line up of menu recommendations. Steak, loaded baked potato, onion strings, Andre salad and more! The steak comes pre-cut and sizzling in butter. I loved how Billy the bartender portioned our food onto our plates. It felt like having private service. Everything was absolutely fantastic including the crisp on the steak. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.

My experience last night at Andre's checked ALL my steakhouse boxes with a permanent black marker! XXXX!!! 1st We were able to walk .6 miles to and from our condo. 2nd We knew we belonged on the lounge side of the restaurant ( based on other reviews-thank you very much) and we were warmly welcomed by Billy the bar tender and 3 local ladies who happily shared their suggestions on drinks and the menu. Love that!! 3rd We embraced as many of their suggestions as we could without ordering EVERYTHING on the menu!! For two of us we enjoyed and split the Andre's salad, loaded baked, filet cooked medium, onion strings....ALL so good! 4th The conversations at the bar with so many and even Chris (the manager?) was actually the highlight of our night. You can't put a price on a perfect atmosphere and experience.

The best experience! It felt like we were going back in time! Exceptional service by our server David. We had a delicious wedge salad, a sizzling NY Strip steak with baked potato and Randy's local Key lime pie served with fresh whipped cream ! Everything was top quality! We will be back!

My favorite steak in the whole world.

In this case, it was a sign of good times, as the noise was mainly table conversations in a full house. Our open-table reservation was ready, and we were seated at a table near the "wine wall." After pondering the possibilities, our evening went like this: *Cocktails: "Take two" for her: Strawberry-Infused Botanist Gin, Mango, Citrus Basil, Foam; a bourbon old-fashioned for him: Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Aperol, Simple Syrup, Angostura Aromatic Bitters (a cherry too, perhaps Luxardo). *We made the strategic decision to avoid soups/salads to make sure there was room for dessert, and went directly to entrees: Chilean Sea Bass (best seller, we hear) for her: Broccolini, Pearl Onion, Potato Puree, Truffle Vinaigrette; and the Halibut special with gnocchi for him. Both EXCELLENT! A glass of Sauvignon Blanc with each. *Dessert: Crème Brulée for her, a much anticipated Ten Layer Carrot Cake for him, and decaf coffee + cream for both. Was saving room for dessert worth it? Yes, absolutely. My compliments to Todd, perhaps the best server I remember during the past year. Why? He seemed to have no agenda except to please the customer. There was no pressure to order quickly, and nothing about our order fazed him. Gluten-free requests were handled flawlessly. No soup or salad? He did not even blink, as if he himself thought it was an excellent idea. Todd, thank you for being the perfect meal guide and steward.

The cook of the steak was in fact medium rare as ordered, however, when we cut our steaks, immediately you could tell how tough the meat was. I'm not sure if these steaks are frozen or simply a poor quality of cut, but it shouldn't take more than 3 business days to chew a steak. The winner of our meal was in fact the sonoma ravioli. It was very rich and decadent. I also suggest the gouda tater tots and truffle mac & cheese. I'd skip the creamed spinach as it lacked flavor and was a bit runny. The ambiance was high energy, great for big parties and dates as well. Perhaps the seafood entrees may be better as I did notice other parties ordering those items. But to compare to other steakhouses, I don't think I can give it a positive review.

Everything about it from entering the grounds of The Ritz, walking through the hotel lobby, to being greeted at the host/hostess station elevated an experience that by the end of the meal can be summed up in the word Magnifique! Upon reaching the host/hostess station, we were efficiently greeted and brought to our table walking through a beautiful dining room with a piano player to boot reminiscent of the great restaurants of the '70's and '80's. Whisked to our table to a romantic table for two with a full view of the dining room a la Forge Miami Beach 1980. We were told that The Grill has been operational for 40 years and is the best performing restaurant within Marriott's portfolio and the only remaining Grill. Our server who was outstanding had been here for 29 years. He explained to a T the specials and was both professional and friendly what you would expect at a 5 star restaurant. We started by selecting our bottle of wine a reasonably priced Pride Cab that was not heavily marked up. The wine list was extensive with a wide range of wines priced many priced reasonably and providing good value all the way up to top end Screaming Eagle. We elected to start with a great Caesar salad and followed up with two bone-in steaks, one being the 22 oz. bone-in ribeye for $98 and a 22 oz. bone in filet mignon special at $142 that our server described as being 14 oz. of meat and boy was it huge! The bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly and delicious and the filet was soft as butter and very very good. We had fantastic Cajun spiced steak fries and great broccolini. For dessert we finished up with two souffles that are personal sized, one being a chocolate souffle with chocolate sauce and in asking for sabayon - they advised that while they could not they would bring out creme anglaise. The cookies n cream souffle was even better and delectable! Service was off the chart polished, unrushed and absolutely great. All in all the experience was beyond 5 stars. A truly unique restaurant standing the test of time and without a doubt the best steakhouse and best restaurant that we have eaten at in the State of Florida. (And yes we have been to all the "supposed" greats in Miami and Bern's too). And quite frankly I would put this at the top of its class within the U.S.

Service was alway excellent and very attentive, food was very good but definitely not cheap. Because of the price, I do have certain expectations, and on this visit, it fell slightly short. We arrived at 6:30pm our reservation time, and were promptly taken to our table. The hostess first offered a table right at the door, I rejected, the restaurant was still fairly empty. Then we were led to another table right next to a big table of 15+ people. Before I said anything, she quickly suggested maybe a quieter table, thank you for that. We ended up with a table on the other corner, it was perfect. As usual, hubby ordered a martini, it came with a lot of ice chip, oops didn't past our first test. We ordered the seared Foie Gras and Kumato Tomato and Watermelon salad. The Foie Gras was done perfectly. The watermelon in the salad was cured, not my type of salad. For our entree I had the short rib, very tender but very dense and lean, hubby had the Delmonico steak with Foie Gras added. The steak has a little bit too much fat and not sure it was worth the cost. We enjoyed the two sides every much - Brussels sprout and sauté mushroom. I joked that perhaps next time I should just have Brussels sprouts and seared Foie gras as my dinner, and I would be very happy. We also ordered a chocolate soufflé which takes 30 min to make. Much to our surprise that the waiter had it split for us when it was brought out. Overall it was a wonderful night, with live piano music playing throughout the whole meal. But we also began to wonder, was it worth the cost? The steak had a little too much fat that it should; Martini has too much ice chip, the two glasses of wine were pricy and forced. Perhaps we will save it for very special occasion only, and next time we will try one of the other three restaurants on site.
