I was told over the phone twice that the price would be around $80, but instead was charged $95. Another thing I noticed was the wait time. I came an hour early to my appointment since I was driving straight from Norman to South Tulsa Optical and had everything filled and done, but I still ended up waiting 20 min past my appointment time when another lady, who came in the same time as me and was filling out papers too, was taken in by the doctor in less than 5 minutes just after turning in all her papers. Honestly the whole experience while in the office was not at all bad, but just the aftermath is what did it for me and straight up was a scam.

After the exam, I was told to return a few days later for trial lenses. During my follow-up visits, I did not receive hands-on instruction for inserting or removing contacts and was advised to purchase a tool online to help. After using the tool, I had difficulty removing the lens and returned to the office multiple times. I was told there was no lens in my eye. However, I continued to experience ongoing irritation and discomfort and sought care at urgent care, where I was given antibiotic drops as a precaution. Several weeks later, the contact lens came out of my eye. Due to the overall experience and continued discomfort, I returned to request a refund, which was provided. I encourage first-time contact lens wearers to ensure they receive thorough instruction and feel confident with insertion and removal before leaving any provider. Your eye health is too important to rush.
