I'm new to the club of needing eyeglasses. I have only been wearing them for about four years. I spent my first four years going to a popular optometrist because I have been hearing their advertisements for years. But I eventually realized that I may not have been getting the best care. I had nothing else to compare it to. So when it came time for my annual exam visit, I decided to look for somewhere that would give me higher quality care. I did some research online for in-network providers and found Vision Source. When I read the reviews, I learned that Vision Source uses technology to help diagnose their client's needs. I also learned that the staff take their time to make sure your needs are being met. These were things I were looking for. I stare at a screen about 16 hours a day so I want to make sure that I am getting the best care for my eyesight. So I booked an appointment. After a short wait in the waiting room, I was taken back and had a completely different experience than I have ever had. I didn't feel rushed. I actually connected with each person. I felt like my care was a top priority. I didn't feel like a number being rushed through a cattle call. I learned new things about the condition of my eyesight and getting the glasses I needed was a breeze. While I was choosing my frames I got tired and started to sweat quite a bit. I asked if they had any water. My consultant went and got me ice water, turned down the AC and made sure I was comfortable while I made a decision on how I would invest in my next pair of glasses. I've had two yearly eye exams with Dr. Henley. She took the time to answer all my questions, and I was very satisfied. Then recently, I had pain in my right eye. The office managed to squeeze me in, even though it was the day before Thanksgiving. I saw Dr. Simpson, who diagnosed the problem; prescribed eye drops, explained exactly what they were for, and showed me how to administer them (I can't stand having things near my eyes); and told me to call her (on her days off) if the pain worsened. I could not have been happier with the care that I received. My eye continually improved, and it was back to normal within the time frame Dr. Simpson had given me. Although there was a short delay in seeing me as scheduled, the staff performed flawlessly. Initial process was smooth and everything was explained as she went along. Dr Lawson always explains everything to me as he performs his test. Detailed explanation is given on the results, too. After all testing is completed, an Optical technician fits me for my new glasses. She worked effortlessly in fitting me with ones that fit as well as looked good. She was open and honest about what looked good on me, too. As we were checking out, the lady took her time and informed me the cost and how much my insurance would cover. I have been going to Vision Source Tulsa for several years, along with my 13 year old son (we both have glasses), and I have been very satisfied with Dr. Watkins, the front office staff, and the ladies who help pick out the glasses for us. I especially loved Chloe who used to work here for several of the years we have been going. She always helped my son reorder new glasses when they broke at school for some reason. All in all, I love this place for my eye care. I also enjoy how they always have the encouraging songs playing from the local Christian station. The music calms me down as I wait. read more

From Tulsa, but recently moved back to the area after 5 years away and I needed a new optometrist. Very impressed with the electronic check-in forms. I also really enjoyed the woman who helped me find a new pair of frames. As a contact-wearer, I hadn't had a new set of glasses in about 10 years. We met Dr Terry Lawson several years ago when referred there by my insurance carrier. He and his staff have always treated my wife and I with courtesy and professionalism. I have been going to Dr. Lawson for 8 years or so. He is meticulous in his exam, no stone gets left unturned. He manages my hard contacts (it is hard to find someone who does that now-a-days) and he does an outstanding job for that. He has the latest tests to screen for glaucoma, retinal issues, and a new test to screen for diabetes by looking at fluorescence from the eye. read more

I was very pleased with my overall experience. The staff had a well knowledge of my vision insurance. The facility looked well maintained and posh. My specific doctor was very nice and professional. Took the time to answer all my questions. In the optical shop there were plenty of frames to choose from. Very nice brands. Coach and Juicy to name a couple. Nice and friendly. Easy access off Creek Turnpike, helpful staff and very informed doctors with up to date technological tools.

It was my very first eye doctor's visit ever, at the age of 23. They were very helpful and explained everything well. I was seen fast, and everyone I encountered was very friendly and courteous. They also have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. =) read more
