You said "she", I'm a patient of Chris McDaniel. But I understand that you feel things have changed. They have. And like you, I don't understand it, can't put a finger on it, can't verify a motive. You said, "seemed quite rigid and strange to not be accommodating". Okay we agree, something's awry. But, from my viewpoint, it's still a fun place with the artful displays, the inspired wall paintings, an optometrist who knows sign language, medical competency, etc. Perhaps you'll rethink leaving.

But she was angry the whole time. She never said the wrong thing. But you could just tell that she absolutely hated us. I didn't like that they kept trying to sell us on this retinal scan. Multiple times. Our insurance didn't cover it. And I did my research about it online. We're considered low risk patients and didn't need to do it. I stayed strong and didn't do it even though she kept saying I did need it. So then when it was my husband's turn, she told him that I didn't need the scan, but he definitely did. So he caved and paid for it. We got a text message requesting we leave a review. . And I didn't do it because I was not happy with the service here. But nothing really bad happened. But now I wish I had filled it out because it was a bad experience. Once my husband and I really had a chance to compare experiences, I realize that we had a terrible time here.

I was able to make an appointment the same week I called. The receptionist was friendly. The optometrist, Dr. Tran, was great. The eye exam was done quickly. My eye exam is still the same which is good. I went to EyeMart next door to inquire the cost of new pair of glasses with insurance which cost more than online suppliers like EyeBuyDirect. The office managed to squeeze me in, even though it was the day before Thanksgiving. I saw Dr. Simpson, who diagnosed the problem; prescribed eye drops, explained exactly what they were for, and showed me how to administer them (I can't stand having things near my eyes); and told me to call her (on her days off) if the pain worsened. I could not have been happier with the care that I received. My eye continually improved, and it was back to normal within the time frame Dr. Simpson had given me. I got right in to see my optometrist, Dr. Colby Beats. I can't say enough good things about her as well. She got that torn lens right out and is always concerned about helping me in any way she can. I've been coming here for years and would have given this place low reviews in the past because the front desk was not great and you left feeling like they didn't care (although both optometrists are great).
