So my experience with this location was the perfect storm for anything & everything that could and did go wrong. The measure of a company is not within its failure, but in how it perseveres through troubled waters. Anything that could go wrong, did. With that said Tara, the optical manager and Kylee the office manager made sure that though a bad experience was going down, they managed to fix each of the issues and left me satisfied beyond what I had expected to experience in the beginning before everything went crazy. First time patient. Initial visit was great. Went to pick up my glasses and got a completely different frame than I originally picked out. Was asked for a picture of the frame I chose. Come on now, who takes a pic of the frame when picking out. Picked out another frame that was less expensive. Was told no refund because the glasses had been made. I argued that the frame was not what I chose and I should be due a refund. Manager on duty said per their policy no refunds period because they had been made. I took in my current eyeglass frame with a slightly different RX for an update. Zellner charged me over $200 and gave me glasses back that had fishing wire poking out towards my eye and the glass was cut wrong-not lining up with the frame-there's noticeable gaps and the lense was not buffed so there is a white ring around the glass! To fix them they want to keep 1/2 the money I paid and Change the lense to No RX!! I asked for them to be returned in same condition I gave them initially and full refund! Absolutely horrid the receptionist and the some of the doctors were very racist and rude, I know that they could have been having a bad day but after we were done and sat down and a white family (Im Asian) came, she changed her whole entire attitude all helpful and kind not rude and racist like when I was helped. They said they accepted my insurance but when it went threw we still had to pay 200 more dollars and they also said I could pick them up in 5 business days but it took 2 weeks for them to inform us that the glasses were ready and they blamed me for picking them up late. And don't even tell me about the eye testing I was checked in then a white family came in (by family I mean 2 people a husband and a wife) and I was just waiting there for 1 hour , and 2 more white families came in and they got helped before me. Before the people who like the place judge me its what happened to me and I just addressed the racism towards none white customers. If you need an eye exam just go to another doctor. read more

We got a call that my husband's glasses were ready, so I went to pick them up for him since he was busy. They told me to wait in the lobby, and they called the last name the glasses are under. Mind you!! we have been here 3 times in a row trying to get these dang glasses back-- and we left the first time since we got pissed. They call the name, very nice lady, i explained what happened with the frames that we left with them. She said "i'll be right back." I waited for a split second, just to see the older woman that has harassed me and my husband Which is also VERY racist. The older lady walked past the younger one, and she said something about me. 100 percent about me, because I am wearing a hijab. She came out with the most UGLIEST and RUDEST face with her hands in her pocket, and her grouchy voice. "MAAM." excuse me? She has the biggest filter with different people. She didn't end up giving me the frame which we already payed for having the lenses in for. This is Racism and Discrimination, all for wearing a headscarf. Everyone in that clinic is amazing-- EXCEPT THIS LADY. She has a money piece, i think. I was too busy telling her off. This is UNBELIEVABLE. the 3rd time, seriously? If she knew she would get told of she would NOT have come and talked crap to ANOTHER EMPLOYEE, and come around and help me. A lawsuit was a choice, and we are still thinking about it. Every time I've been to this location the front office staff has been rude. I sent my fiancé there to pick up my prescription which is MY patient information and they were rude to him. Even though I called ahead! And then wrote on my prescription in sharpie (EXPIRED) where a signature was supposed to go. First of all, I know it's expired! I just don't want to go to you all anymore cause you're rude. I also don't want to answer questions that are provided on the prescription to my new Doctor. The front desk staff went above and beyond to assist me with an insurance issue. The exam was quick but comcomplete. All of the staff was kind and patient with us. The care they provided for us was beyond what I expected. The Optometrist made sure to answer all of our questions too. It was a great experience! read more

If you have small children do NOT use this place. My CHILD lost his glasses that he has only had for a couple weeks. There warranty does not cover lost/stolen glasses. It only covers if they are broke, but you have to make sure you have all the pieces or that will void your warranty. Also, they advertise that you can get your glasses in a hour bc their lab in onsite. My other child has been waiting 3 WEEKS for his glasses which are flagged to be in mid next week. I have never written a review in my life but I had to share my recent experience. Lengthy but hopefully helpful to those looking for an eye clinic. I've been coming to this clinic since 2011 and have been getting both contacts and glasses from them. I have continued coming purely out of convenience but I have always had below average service, but nothing major. I came in April 12th for contacts and was told they would give me a call when they came in. Mind you, this is just for my contact trials. May 3rd I called and was told they still hadn't arrived. I called May 17th (one month later) and was told they were on back order. I even asked the woman I spoke to if that was normal and she didn't seem sure, but she seemed very confident that they had not arrived so of course, I believed her. I called today, June 19th, and was told that my trials had been in since April and that they've contacted ME twice. I received no texts, calls, or voicemails. The girl I spoke to said I would need to come in before July 1st or they would send them back to the manufacturer. I was appalled. I came in an hour later, spoke to two very kind girls since there was no manager at 4:00 (they close at 7:00). They informed me that the tech that I had spoken to both times in May no longer works with them and that they had issues with this certain employee. I let them know I had no problem waiting, but that I did have a problem with two months going by since my initial appointment with absolutely no other form of contact if they had been there the entire time. If they were going to send this back in two weeks time on July 1st, I would've expected some other form of communication, especially since I had been a loyal patient of theirs for 13 years. I truly do not know who is to blame or what story is true; if my contact trials truly were sitting there since April, if they had just arrived today, if it was one certain tech in the wrong, etc. I do believe there needs to be a better system for communicating with patients so that this doesn't happen again to any other patient. read more

I have been coming here for about 6 years now (purely out of convenience) and every time I come in the staff is rude and dismissive; you can basically expect to feel like you're sitting at a table of mean girls in a high school cafeteria. They act like it is an inconvenience to deal with you from the minute you come through the door or call them on the phone which is ridiculous bc every time I come they have at least 10 staff members on the floor. This behavior has been consistent over the 6 years I have been coming here. This is obviously a management problem and the staff needs higher expectations and better customer service training. Hands down the most unwelcoming and unenthusiastic staff I've ever witnessed. Also, don't bother making an appointment, you will be sitting there for an hour regardless. My son needed lenses. Added anti-glare which they overcharge for but he wanted. Promised they would be done in an hour. Went back after 2+ hrs and they were not ready. We were told they would just be 15 min more. After 35 min my son checked because we had dogs in the car. He then found out they didn't have the anti-glare coating. We were told it would take another hour to fix. This isn't the first time we have had trouble having glasses not ready when promised. Gave them a pass a year ago. read more

If I could give them a negative "-4" I would! I walked into the store yesterday to get a new pair of glasses. They had my prescription so I thought it shouldn't be too long of an ordeal. Boy! Was I freakin wrong! I was prepared to wait an hour from the time I got there to the time I ordered my new frames. Nope, I was there 2 hours and told they would be ready today and they would call me in the morning when they were Ready. So at 11:00am today "No Call" ... so I called them to get the status, the girl put me on hold and came back with "yes they are ready". OK great...I guess it was an oversight...no worries. I arrived around 11:30, waited another 30 minutes (after I asked the receptionist how her again how long I had been there and was Told I was next... ya right ha!) I finally sit down for my fitting and the girl brings them out and said "one of the lens popped out as she was cleaning so they were going to make an adjustment...should take 15 min. OK fine ... I am trying to be nice! Well I'm not going to go through the whole ordeal but I made 2 trips back to DrZ's and the last one 4 hours later.... I was told again they were still not ready because they had some "other glasses that had come in today that needed adjustments". I lost it! OK heck no!!! I have now spent 4 1/2hr in this store! Obviously I am not as valued as the 99% of Sooner Care patients that were being treated over me. Even though... I paid cash for my glasses! NO insurance...just hard earned cash! The worst part about it is the young girl who I was venting to had to run back and fort trying to get my glasses fixed instead of whoever is in charge, coming out to talk to me!!! That's is just wrong! Whoever YOU ARE YOU NEED TO BE FIRED FOR BEING A WIMP AND MAKING HER RUN AROUND TRYING TO MAKE YOUR WRONG...Right!! Pllleeaasse! You should be fired! They have a huge selection of glasses to choose from which is great. The prices are around $100-$200. I thought it was pretty reasonable, especially with my vision insurance. They were really busy though with lots of customers during the weekend (early Nov). The lady that was doing the pre-tests (?) for my eyes was nonchalant and unfriendly which made it a little awkward. I was very happy to be able to collect my new glasses the next day. Unfortunately I was in a rush and it felt like they took their time to pick up my glasses even though I went close to their opening time. There were only one or two customers in front of me. I sat there for at least 10, 15 minutes before getting to my turn. I understand that not all the staff are able to help me, but there shouldn't be that many staff (around 10?) standing around the front desk chatting. read more

Terrible service. The girls at the front desk will talk badly about you while your standing right there at the desk. I get that there was issues with my insurance. Changed carriers and they had hard time finding my insurance. That's not why they get a one star. But to tell a customer next in line that I'm being difficult, when I literally was just trying to have them find my insurance. It's not there fault they couldn't find it but they get a one star due to the lovely ladies at the front desk with the worst customer service. Just picked up my new glasses. They're uncomfortably tight. Pressing in on the sides of my head. 5min wearing and I have a headache. I was told nothing they could do about this because the strength of my prescription is causing frames to bow in. And that there was no way for them to know this would happen and nothing they can do. And this would be the case with any glasses I got. Attitude was it's your problem you have such a heavy prescription. I've been wearing glasses since I was 8yrs old. I went to get a new pair of glasses today at Dr. Zoellner's office and had a great experience while I was there. I have been in before and always liked the way they handle business. The entire staff is professional and courteous and go out of there way to make you feel comfortable and wanted. I had my eye exam by Dr. Flushe and he recommended that I change my current prescription slightly to adjust for my right eye. After my exam was over with I picked out the frames that I wanted and then it only took them about an hour to make the new glasses for me. I am very happy with my new glasses and I'm very happy that they don't overcharge you like some other eye doctors try to do. My hats off to a great experience at Dr. Z's office. read more

I was a walk-in and they got me back within 15 minutes. The staff was polite and bubbly! Dr. Flusche (spelling might be off) was amazing. He told me that my previous rx was in correct and he needed to tweak it a bit. He said I'm right eye dominant and lessened my rx power in my left eye. He said they're giving me a trial pair of contacts and we said our good byes. Then holy little baby Jesus, I slapped those puppies in and whammo, I did NOT need readers!!!! He changed my life because I'm so sick of lugging 72 pairs of readers around with me then losing 71 of them to reader gankers (you kno who you are)! I must say I've been be-bopping around reading small writing again and it has put a little Getty up with my step, it's like I'm 39 all over again. I'm not sure how this place is still legally in business. I was a patient and customer getting my glasses there for a number of years and my last 3 visits the service has gone downhill. My last two appointments were canceled/changed and they didn't tell me until an hour beforehand when I had already scheduled to be off work so I lost that sick leave. When I finally did have an appointment the "doctor" literally talked to me about how masks were ineffective during COVID and he's considering telling his staff not to wear them at all. They've lost my business and respect. "Dr. Z" seems like he is spending too much time at his other business, a marijuana dispensary, I'm sadly not joking about this. read more

I think everyone else's reviews have pretty much summed this place up. - Insanely crowded on the weekend. I had to wait over an hour just to pick up a pair of glasses. - Finding someone to help is next to impossible. When you finally DO get help though, I've always found the associate to be decently nice. - Don't order your glasses here if you need them in a crunch. They'll either (a) lose the glasses or (b) get them in and not call you for weeks. The only good thing about this place is their large selection of frames. My initial experience went by fine. We got in, got checked, picked glasses out, and got them all in a few hours. Which is part of why I got so pissed when I tried taking my glasses back the next day for repairs. The service the next day wasn't at all the same, and I waited longer to return them than it took me to get them. Spent $600 on progressive lens glasses and paid extra for wider viewing area and was told night driving would be fine. Immediately noticed terrible night glare and narrow viewing area for reading. Took them back to make sure prescription was correct. They said it was correct. Then offered to add non glare coating for another $119-on glasses they already charged over $600 for. I then ordered a pair of online Zenni glasses for comparison and to have a backup pair for $143. I was shocked that the Zenni pair was perfect in all respects for 1/3 of the price. I'm wearing them and will keep the poor quality $600 Zoellner glasses as a backup. Lesson learned. read more

I was in and ordered two pairs of glasses. I was pleased they were in in less than a week. I picked them up and went home. I wore one pair home. Later after I got home, I took the sunglasses out to examine them. They weren't sunglasses as there was no color in the lens. Since I live 60 miles away, I couldn't just run them by. I will probably be waiting a couple of days for a return call, just as I did when I called them back after they left a message my glasses were in. I only wanted to know if BOTH pairs ere in before I headed to Tulsa. Really disappointed in the office - staff wasn't trained well, it was dirty, half the employees were not wearing masks, social distancing was not in practice. The exam was rushed. The doctor didn't care. He just kept asking what is better 1 or 2 And would rotate the machine so quickly it was ridiculous. The girl who helped me select a pair of glasses was great. I think here name was Hanna. She seemed to care about helping and each customer and was patient when it was time to help me. She was helpful and informative. I was told 2 hours for my glasses to be ready. It's been 4 days! I have to call every day. Today they said it would be 12 to 14 more days. I told them I was originally told 2 hours. They put me on hold came back and then said their machine was malfunctioning and they would take the prescription to their other store to be filled but that would be a couple of more days because they are understaffed. I have to point out that while I was there I counted 14 staff at least. Most just talking with each other or on their phone. What started out as a good company years ago now reflects its lack of leadership and a 'service minded' approach to take care of their customers. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

The office at 3016 S Harvard Tulsa, Oklahoma literally doesn't know what they are doing. Got my glasses 3 prs. When picked them up I could not see anything. Tried 3 different prescriptions plus re-examine my eyes. And yet after 3 1/2 hrs they final got it right but now I have to wait 7-10 to pick them up again. In the meantime blind as can be. Went to Dr. Zoellner to replace my glasses I lost. I told them I wanted the exact same thing i had before. Polycarbonate lenses, Blue light filter, gradient blue tint from top to bottom. Glasses cost $443. They called me two days later to tell me they couldn't do blue light and blue tint -- which means when I ordered them that way before, if they couldn't do it, they never told me they didn't do it. i told them I wanted the blue tint more than the blue light. They said they would take care of it. Today glasses arrived and I went to pick them up. They didn't have blue tint on them at all. The employee explained they couldn't do the blue light. i had to explain to the EMPLOYEE that blue light and blue tint are two doffeeent things. She disappeared for about ten minutes and came back with someone else who told me there was a miscommunication when I ordered the glasses. I told him they called me back to clear up the miscommunication and he said it was too late by then. That was a lie as the day they called me was the first day they could have shipped them off and they still would have only needed to make a phone call. Evidently they just think all their customers are stupid. He then said they can send them off again and that's all they can do. At that point I let him know they could also give me my money back and i can take my $443 for a pair of reading glasses somewhere else. his attitude was horrible and I no longer wanted to spend money with them. The entire staff were arrogant and obstinate and frankly didn't care they had just wasted 10 days of my time and was going to have to waste at least ten more days of my time. The metal piece that holds the arm and frames together bent. I called the Memorial location to inquire about a warranty, the young lady took my name looked up my information and confirmed that I in fact do have a warranty that covers Everything with the exception of pet destruction. I no longer own any pets so that wouldn't be an issue for me. When I arrived today (2/10/23 @ 11:45am), the two young ladies sitting at the desk were polite. But, the issue I have is the fact neither one of them even touched my glasses to see if the issue could be fixed. The young lady stated "we can't fix that, we don't have Soldering capabilities". I have warranty on a pair of glassed that cost me close to $200.00 and they couldn't be bother to check to see if anything could be done. I did in fact receive a passive aggressive "Sorryyyyyy" which again I feel is a poor representation of the company and I'm guessing the level of customer service expectations. If they cared about the business and customer service, one of them would have at least checked with the repair person to see if something could be done. I like to support all local businesses, but things like this ruin the customer experience. I feel it's ridiculous that I had to go to another business that didn't require a soldering iron to fix my glasses. Even though I had to pay 15.00 out of pocket for eye glass repair, it was done without a Soldering Iron. Visions Unique Eye & Sun wear saved the day. We bought glasses from this office For my six year old. When we were given the glasses they did not put the prescription on them and we didn't know for almost a year. The school notified us because of the eye exam with the glasses at school. When we returned to the dr to have her eyes retested (worse now) that is when we discovered the issue with the glasses. It wasn't until I returned today, and glanced up, that I made a decision to longer patronize a business that wears its political affiliation on its sleeve. I had found my SALTs and wanted to update my lenses with my new prescription, but after reading more about your candidate, I'll just wait to get back to Austin, where I'm more likely to find a business not supporting men who feel the need to be on the wrong side of history regarding the sanctity of marriage.
