She took them apart then brought me two ear pieces from other regular glasses and said she could replace my Gucci ones with those. She said they cannot be fixed. That's not what she said first. They said they accepted my insurance but when it went threw we still had to pay 200 more dollars and they also said I could pick them up in 5 business days but it took 2 weeks for them to inform us that the glasses were ready and they blamed me for picking them up late. And don't even tell me about the eye testing I was checked in then a white family came in (by family I mean 2 people a husband and a wife) and I was just waiting there for 1 hour , and 2 more white families came in and they got helped before me. My husband and I had been going to a different eye doctor for years, much closer to where we used…read moreto live than where we currently live. We have been in our house for 8 years and we were tired of driving across town for sub-par service and never actually getting to see the same eye doctor twice. We wanted somewhere closer so of course I took to Yelp to explore our options. Had our first appointments with Dr. Wells at Stonewood Vision Source last night, and he was great! Very professional but seemed genuinely interested in our questions and concerns. The office is extremely clean, and the equipment was all up to date. We went from a place that still uses a projector for the eye chart, so I was surprised to see a tv / monitor being used here. Dr. Wells never made us feel rushed and took the time to fully exam our eyes. He has no idea how much my husband and I appreciate that. The staff member at the front desk (I forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to browse the frame selections in the waiting area with no rush. There is a smaller selection here than some of the larger eye doctor facilities, but the selection was pretty good even though almost all of the frames I looked at were over my insurance's frame allotment. I either have expensive taste or the prices were higher than our last eye doctor's selection. Our glasses will be ready in about 7-10 days so I will made an edit to include our experience for picking the glasses up after that.

I'm sharing my personal experience so others can make informed decisions…read more On January 17th, I visited Stanton Optical for a contact lens exam as a first-time contact wearer. After the exam, I was told to return a few days later for trial lenses. During my follow-up visits, I did not receive hands-on instruction for inserting or removing contacts and was advised to purchase a tool online to help. After using the tool, I had difficulty removing the lens and returned to the office multiple times. I was told there was no lens in my eye. However, I continued to experience ongoing irritation and discomfort and sought care at urgent care, where I was given antibiotic drops as a precaution. Several weeks later, the contact lens came out of my eye. Due to the overall experience and continued discomfort, I returned to request a refund, which was provided. I encourage first-time contact lens wearers to ensure they receive thorough instruction and feel confident with insertion and removal before leaving any provider. Your eye health is too important to rush.
