Pros: clean well lit store Cons: customer service here is not very good. There were three employees visible to me when I entered. There were two customers waiting for service with no one else in the store. Why were those two customers waiting? There were clearly three employees visible. So they helped those two customers first. And then it was my turn. And then they were not helpful. I needed to select a pair of glasses for my husband. They said they would not be able to do that unless he came to the store to do measurements. I feel very annoyed by that. I had his old glasses with me. And I order glasses for him online all the time without anyone doing any kind of measurements. And then when it came for glasses for myself, they didn't have anything I liked. I was able to get two great quality, stylish pairs of glasses for an affordable price. The man who works in the front of the store has the best customer service skills of anyone I have ever met. He makes you feel welcome and goes above and beyond to ensure you find the perfect pair of frames snd lens to best suit your needs. He gladly answered all of my questions and explained all of the lens options and provided great recommendations. So this has been a very poor experience. Back on 08/05/23 I went in to order glasses for myself and my son. My son's glasses came back in a week and were correct. The problem was with my glasses. I ordered two pair, my primary pair was a progressive lens with transition lenses. The second pair was a standard prescription lens that was tinted for sunglasses. Got my sunglasses in an hour and they were fine. It's my primary pair that has been the HUGE problem. They came in on 08/18/23, so 2 weeks. Went to pick them up and they were the wrong frames. At first, I thought maybe I was just given someone else's glasses. But they checked the prescription in the glasses and sure enough, the prescription was mine. They looked at the order and confirmed the frames were not what I ordered. I received an apology and was told I would have to wait for the new glasses to come in. So I received a text on 08/28/23 that my glasses were ready. I went directly to pick up the glasses and got there about 10 minutes before closing. I looked at the frames, they were correct, I tried them on to make sure I could see - all good. Put my sunglasses on and went home. A few hours later, I took the glasses outside to test how dark the transition lenses were going to get and NOTHING. They didn't get dark at all. The glasses have NO transition lenses in them. Needless to say, I'm highly upset. It didn't occur to me to make sure the transition lenses were done properly. I couldn't call them until this morning in which I explained my glasses have no transitions. I received an apology and was told the glasses would have to be reordered. That's it. No offer of a discount for future business. Just a sorry this happened and that they were placing an order for the lenses again and that's all. So, when I get off work tonight, I have to drive back over AGAIN and drop off my glasses so they can fix them AGAIN. I'm never using this company again. They have screwed up my glasses twice and have offered nothing more than an apology. So almost a month after I ordered my glasses, I have made 3 trips and still haven't received what I ordered. Don't use this place. When everything goes right, its good. But when it goes wrong - they offer nothing to make things right except to make you wait for the right ones. Hopefully the 3rd time's the charm but again, I'm not holding my breathe! read more

Great staff, great service. No pressure and low prices with good deals. Can even get you your glasses in a hour. Clean and easy environment and they welcome children too. WORST customer service. I had to wait 35 mins just for someone to check availability of 1 pair of frames. They are strict about their little sign in list, no matter who's actually ready to go through the already lengthy buying process. After almost 40 mins of just standing there with 1 question, they looked for about 20 seconds and then claimed there was an "error" online and those aren't in stock at this location. Called the Sheridan location and they were able to find the frames, that are actually sunglasses which is why this location didn't find them in their whooping 20 seconds of looking. I would recommend first, firing the entire staff, second, assigning appointments so people aren't just standing around waiting by the door for an hour. read more

I went in to have my daughter's glasses fixed. I walked in and stood in front of the counter, 3 ladies were behind the counter. They totally ignored me and went on doing what they were doing. I stood there with broken glasses in hand. There were maybe 3 other people in the store. I stood there for 10-15 minutes, ladies didn't say anything, didn't look at me, didn't acknowledge me. Finally after one of the girls looked around me to help someone else, I asked how it worked? Did I need to take a number get in line, what? Another lady at the counter rudely stated, "All these other people are before you." I said okay, thanks for letting me know and walked out. All they had to say when I walked in was, "Have a seat, we'll be with you in a moment." This is the second time I have been treated rudely at this store. I will not be going back. I drove over to the one at Sheridan and 71st, walked in, was greeted very politely by 2 different employees. They fixed my daughter's glasses very quickly and I was on my way. No stress, no problems. When I lived in Texas, Eyemart Express was the go to place for glasses; so when I moved here I expected the same service. The staff is great, the frames are still nice & contemporary but the lens (actually headquarters new policy) turned out to be the problem. I needed non-reflective, no line bifocals. I picked a nice frame & they marked them for my eyes. I get them back & they are slightly off (my right eye "pulls" to the left), they were patient & took the time get a fit. They discovered the problem & were going to cut new lens. In the meantime, I decided to keep the other lens to see if my eyes would adjust. I had to change the lens after a month, not because of the eye difference, but because the non-reflective was scratched & cloudy! I had the lens replaced with the ones they had cut for me. I asked what I needed to do to keep the non-reflectives clean. I followed their directions to the letter & guess what, within a month, the new lens get scratched & cloudy! I find out that they no longer send the lens to a lab to put the non-reflective coating on, they do it in shop. Headquarters decided to cut costs & one of them was to change how they do the non-reflective coating. I'd try to get new lens but I'm not taking the chance of going in every month to get new lens put in & eventually, the extended warranty may no longer cover the problem. All in all, I would continue buying eyeglasses from Eyemart if I didn't need the non-reflective coating. (I need the non-reflective because I work at a computer all day.) I will say that the staff was patient, took the time to find out & fix the other problem with my eyes, I'm just disappointed that headquarters has decided to cut costs on an important service. read more
