We were on the process of selling our 1992 Ford F-150, so when someone out of state purchased our truck it wasn't a big deal. That was until we couldn't find the truck keys. After searching high and low the night before the truck was picked up, we surely thought we'd have to reschedule and/or lose the sell. After a frantic yelp search, and several locksmith's "on their way" we crossed our fingers and dialed our last hope. I spoke to George and he asked me some routine questions and told me that he'd have his tech call me when he was on the way. I thanked him and crossed my fingers George was telling the truth! About 10 minutes later I received a call from Michael who confirmed he was 15-20 minutes out and that he would arrive soon! OH MAN, Sweeeeeeet relief. I called about a defective deadbolt on my front door. The lady who answered my call was so friendly and responsive, I really appreciated her reassurance that she would get someone out to repair within a short period of time. And she did! Locksmith arrived within a short time--even driving through unusually heavy rains and flood warnings-- to repair the deadbolt, even adding an additional plate that he happened to have in his van for free. Mikey was the most incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable locksmith I've ever met--he was beyond fair, kind, cheerful and professional. Expedient yet unrushed, and he was the only locksmith who had in stock and could master a Honda Civic 2018 FOB and emergency key for my car anywhere near Santa Cruz County! He held it for a week for me, and they were HALF the price of the Honda dealer! The few other locksmiths who said they might be able to create this key and program the FOB quoted very close to the dealer price. While I was there, I shared some other things I was dealing with while I was there, Mikey listened and had simple solutions for them all which I was grateful for: I ended up getting an Awesome gate lock for my Mom's house and Mikey was able to match the lock to the key to my Mom's front door so she can use the same key rather than futz around with a keychain trying to find which is which. I also bought a hide-a-key pouch to keep the emergency key under my car and one to block the FOB signal inside the car--that was I don't ever have to worry about losing these ridiculously expensive FOBs again--wicked! Came out on the drop of a Dime! I literally was having anxiety attack and had locked my keys out of the house with my two kids and a dog! It was a mess for me and I had asked my daughters Cheer coach where to find a locksmith after calling three other non responsive places and 1800 numbers that did not work out, so when I called Anderson's and a real local person picked up I was so happy and relieved they immediately came out to the rescue! I have used Anderson's Locks 3 times. Twice when I locked myself out of my home and once to rekey a cabinet in my van. These guys are quick, reasonability priced and super friendly. The first time I used them I had called another locksmith who tried to pick the lock to my back door for over an hour and gave up. He suggested I call Anderson's so I did. They were able to pick the lock in about 10 minutes. Today I locked myself out again. I spoke with Mike and he said he would be over in 20 minutes. 10 minutes later I found the spare key in my car and called him back. I'm pretty sure he was already on his way but said how happy he was that I had found my key and to have a wonderful Sunday. Is that great customer service or what?? Andersen's succeeded in getting an old family chest open that had been locked closed and we had no key. Another locksmith on the peninsula could not get it open. I posed my first inquiry via email and got a quick reply. Andersen's made a skeleton key that worked. All the staff were courteous and seemed to enjoy the challenge of getting this old chest open. Great service! A new key got stuck in the door and wouldn't come out, no matter what I tried. This seemed to be the only place that was still open on a Saturday night. went to get a new remote paired to my car, as i had lost the previous one. new key was paired flawlessly. later when i got home i realized that there were still 3 key paired. when i call and asked why the lost key wasnt removed, i was told becuase i didnt ask for it to be removed and it would be and extra $50 to remove it. not sure why a lost key would not be romved in the first place. terrible service read more

My husband had locked his keys in his truck in Sand City, had to catch a flight from SFO the next morning, and his phone was almost dead. I took 4 new outdoor handles and bolt locks in to have re-keyed to the front door for a price of $12.50@. They only did the handles w/o telling me and left the bolts undone and took all the keys. I didn't know any of that til I got home. I returned to the shop where they would not remedy any of their mistakes. No offer was made to re-key the bolts at even a reduced price. All they did was return the original keys. Not a happy customer AT ALL which I told them. read more

Anderson Lock & Safe in Salinas, Ca. are so over priced, I called to get a key quote- for my car, i told them i was trying to get a price, i told the son i had got a quote from a competitor, he ask me what was my quote with other company, i told him im trying to see who would give me the best quote, he quoted me $600, the other company, American Lock & Key quoted me $345, the son told me i should go with the other company if its lower, he was very unprofessional and rude, never did he try to get my business, i told him ok i'll call other company.
