I have never seen a better equipped locksmith shop; as soon as I entered, I sensed that they know what they are doing. The owner is really friendly and helpful. Even with his employees home due to sickness, he patiently answered my questions and helped me figure out what I needed. With so many locksmiths going mobile-only. Salinas is very fortunate to have a professional shop like this to rely on. read more

Great customer service, responsive, and they perform their work efficiently. We needed to install two new dead bolts at my moms house in a very short period of time and they were able to come out same day and get the job done. True professionals all the way. I would trust them with all my locksmith needs. read more

I called at 1:30 pm and they sent someone out within an hour. We just purchased a home and really wanted to change out our lock in out exterior doors. Chris came out was very professional and explained the entire process and cost. He replaced two dead bolt, two door locks, and rekeyed an existing dead bolt and door lock. Nice only having one key for all my doors and I feel safer now that everything has a new key. read more

I got locked out of my car and was lucky enough to spot an Andersen's van around. Mike was able to help me out in less than 5 minutes. He's quick, kind, and incredibly helpful. I'm going back to Andersen's for a copy of my car keys soon thanks to Mike's service. I would definitely recommend. read more

I highly recommend this locksmith! I was so impressed by how friendly and helpful they were, as well as how quickly they were able to make copies of my truck key and fob. I had just been to the Toyota dealer where they had looked at me like, "What do you want?" and had quoted me a price more than double what I paid at Andersen's. read more

We were on the process of selling our 1992 Ford F-150, so when someone out of state purchased our truck it wasn't a big deal. That was until we couldn't find the truck keys. After searching high and low the night before the truck was picked up, we surely thought we'd have to reschedule and/or lose the sell. After a frantic yelp search, and several locksmith's "on their way" we crossed our fingers and dialed our last hope. I spoke to George and he asked me some routine questions and told me that he'd have his tech call me when he was on the way. I thanked him and crossed my fingers George was telling the truth! About 10 minutes later I received a call from Michael who confirmed he was 15-20 minutes out and that he would arrive soon! OH MAN, Sweeeeeeet relief. Soon enough, Michael was ringing our doorbell and got to work on the truck. After about 30 minutes, he had the new truck keys ready to go. I can't thank you all enough, truly got us out of a hard spot. We will definitely be back and recommend them to anyone and everyone! read more

Andersen's Lock & Safe was fast and friendly. Great customer service! Thank you again for all the help.

I called about a defective deadbolt on my front door. The lady who answered my call was so friendly and responsive, I really appreciated her reassurance that she would get someone out to repair within a short period of time. And she did! Locksmith arrived within a short time--even driving through unusually heavy rains and flood warnings-- to repair the deadbolt, even adding an additional plate that he happened to have in his van for free. I'm really grateful for the quick response and repair, giving me peace of mind about the home's safety! read more

Very friendly and professional staff from beginning to end. I needed all the locks changed in our new home and the gal I spoke to was able to get me in the books the very next day. Chris was the guy sent out to us and his attention to detail was impeccable and greatly appreciated. He didn't cut any corners (except the ones needed to get our dang locks sitting in correctly - ha!) and was very patient explaining everything to me as we ran into quite a few snafus, he even missed his lunch to make sure he got the job done.. with a smile on his face. Thank you for such great service and for making me feel like a valued customer read more

Outstanding customer service! Christopher was on time, very polite, very thorough (cleaned up the wood dust) and did an excellent job installing my deadbolt. Peace of mind working with a local establishment that has been around for decades. read more

Mikey was the most incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable locksmith I've ever met--he was beyond fair, kind, cheerful and professional. Expedient yet unrushed, and he was the only locksmith who had in stock and could master a Honda Civic 2018 FOB and emergency key for my car anywhere near Santa Cruz County! He held it for a week for me, and they were HALF the price of the Honda dealer! The few other locksmiths who said they might be able to create this key and program the FOB quoted very close to the dealer price. While I was there, I shared some other things I was dealing with while I was there, Mikey listened and had simple solutions for them all which I was grateful for: I ended up getting an Awesome gate lock for my Mom's house and Mikey was able to match the lock to the key to my Mom's front door so she can use the same key rather than futz around with a keychain trying to find which is which. I also bought a hide-a-key pouch to keep the emergency key under my car and one to block the FOB signal inside the car--that was I don't ever have to worry about losing these ridiculously expensive FOBs again--wicked! Mikey's the Master! I'll drive to Salinas from Santa Cruz any day no problem for impeccable service like Andersen's! read more

Came out on the drop of a Dime! I literally was having anxiety attack and had locked my keys out of the house with my two kids and a dog! It was a mess for me and I had asked my daughters Cheer coach where to find a locksmith after calling three other non responsive places and 1800 numbers that did not work out, so when I called Anderson's and a real local person picked up I was so happy and relieved they immediately came out to the rescue! I thank them so much for coming out so quick and being so professional. Also the guy who unlocked my doors was pretty cute! Lol. Great place and I hope I gave them the best possible review because they deserve it! Thanks for getting me back in the house! read more

I was referred by another locksmith to Andersen's and I am so happy. My husband locked his key in his locker at work and needed to get his personal belongings from it. Once I received the appropriate information about the lock Anderson's sent a unit out to break it open. In very little time they were able to get it open. Customer service was top notch and I was able to get a quote. Overall, I would highly recommend Andersen's!! read more

I have used Anderson's Locks 3 times. Twice when I locked myself out of my home and once to rekey a cabinet in my van. These guys are quick, reasonability priced and super friendly. The first time I used them I had called another locksmith who tried to pick the lock to my back door for over an hour and gave up. He suggested I call Anderson's so I did. They were able to pick the lock in about 10 minutes. Today I locked myself out again. I spoke with Mike and he said he would be over in 20 minutes. 10 minutes later I found the spare key in my car and called him back. I'm pretty sure he was already on his way but said how happy he was that I had found my key and to have a wonderful Sunday. Is that great customer service or what?? Thanks Anderson's....You have a loyal customer for life!!! Anna read more

Andersen's succeeded in getting an old family chest open that had been locked closed and we had no key. Another locksmith on the peninsula could not get it open. I posed my first inquiry via email and got a quick reply. Andersen's made a skeleton key that worked. All the staff were courteous and seemed to enjoy the challenge of getting this old chest open. I highly recommend Andersen's Lock & Safe located in Salinas just north of Costco on North Davis Road. read more

My family and I were about 1.5 hours into our drive to San Simeon State park to camp when my husband realized we had left the key to our overhead carrier at home! I googled a locksmith in Salinas (we were passing through) and Andersen's came up. The gentleman on the phone gave us easy directions. The other gentleman in the office looked up the key code and made us a key in about 5 minutes. And he only charged us $20. They were both very friendly and empathetic. Thank you so much Andersen's for saving our vacation. read more

Great service! A new key got stuck in the door and wouldn't come out, no matter what I tried. This seemed to be the only place that was still open on a Saturday night. The representative (apologies, I can't remember his name) came right over and not only got the key out and the door open, but also fixed the key, which turned out to be an imperfect copy. Now it works perfectly. Thanks so much! read more

went to get a new remote paired to my car, as i had lost the previous one. new key was paired flawlessly. later when i got home i realized that there were still 3 key paired. when i call and asked why the lost key wasnt removed, i was told becuase i didnt ask for it to be removed and it would be and extra $50 to remove it. not sure why a lost key would not be romved in the first place. terrible service read more

Wow, Andersen's was the last locksmith I called after trying about six others. My husband had locked his keys in his truck in Sand City, had to catch a flight from SFO the next morning, and his phone was almost dead. I was in Washington State, frantically trying to rescue him from 1200 miles away! Oscar was so friendly and so professional. What a relief there are still businesses around that understand what prompt and courteous service means. 20 Stars! read more

They said 20 minutes and they had my car open in 20 minutes. The locksmith even told me that since I'm an AAA member (I didn't have time to wait on AAA) if I brought my receipt to AAA they'd reimburse me. Great service! read more

I took 4 new outdoor handles and bolt locks in to have re-keyed to the front door for a price of $12.50@. They only did the handles w/o telling me and left the bolts undone and took all the keys. I didn't know any of that til I got home. I returned to the shop where they would not remedy any of their mistakes. No offer was made to re-key the bolts at even a reduced price. All they did was return the original keys. Not a happy customer AT ALL which I told them. read more

Anderson Lock & Safe in Salinas, Ca. are so over priced, I called to get a key quote- for my car, i told them i was trying to get a price, i told the son i had got a quote from a competitor, he ask me what was my quote with other company, i told him im trying to see who would give me the best quote, he quoted me $600, the other company, American Lock & Key quoted me $345, the son told me i should go with the other company if its lower, he was very unprofessional and rude, never did he try to get my business, i told him ok i'll call other company.
