Contacted a couple lock places and Andersen's was quick on response and understanding the issue with the door lock on a French door. They were upfront with pricing to come out and after sending photos of the door lock, they called to discuss how this door/lock works and what it could potential entail - so there would be no surprises. They showed up the next day at our requested time and worked on the lock, seemed knowledgeable and provided suggestions on how the door, not the lock, should also be adjusted. We had tried several places before we called Anderson to get a separate key for a rental van we were driving across the country with our pets. We had gotten permission from the rental company to make a duplicate key, but no one seemed to have the correct blank which fit our needs. If you are looking to get ripped off then this is the place to go! I walked in to get an additional spare key made for my car. Everything seemed okay at first. The girl who helped me at first told me they could make it no problem. After I had waited around for 15 minutes and my own key was held in the back room where the other key was at the male clerk told me it was 200$ for the key. I said ok. I will take just one. Not once did anyone mention that the car had to be present to make a copy of the key that worked. When the key was cut and ready, then they told me I would have to pay for the key and come back later to have it set up to work with the car!! $218 dollars and a return visit without even a smile or a pleasant greeting. Forty minutes of my life wasted and then I had to come back for a return visit. Next time I will go down town and use the other locksmith in town. read more

This review is long overdue.. After having my FOB tested (twice) I was told by separate vendors (automall's dealership and other) "your FOB is water damaged." I took it upon myself to order one (fob) through Amazon and watched several videos on DIY programming only to realize I needed a separate whatchamacallit gizmo.. I called Andersen's and was told I would be in and out within a matter of minutes of minutes. I took their word and went in on my lunch break one day a few weeks ago. I am beyond glad I went in when I did. I believe staff's name who helped me in person was named Mike ? [I'm sorry I didn't write this sooner; I usually don't write reviews (ever)]. I was told cost would be a little over $100 which was half (or more) of what other competitors' price. I was beyond pleased with honesty and quality of service I received.
