Did you know that National Compliment Day is the same day as National Peanut Butter Day? That must…read moremean Peanut Butter = Compliments! Clearly, math does not work that way, but compliments of Nekter, I got a reward for a $6 Small Peanut Butter Smoothie, valid that day only. I hadn't been to Nekter in so long now that prices have gone up and my very few Nekter points have already expired. However, I was planning a day trip to La Habra, and there just happened to be a Nekter there! This Nekter Juice Bar is located in Westridge Plaza on the southeast corner of Beach and Imperial. It's in a small L-shaped strip mall of eateries adjacent to Beach Blvd and directly across from Walmart. When I came in, I saw a female employee (Ariana?) sweeping the floor right next to a lounge area in the near corner of the shop. Already, I was starting to feel some cozy vibes and could tell it would make for a nice place to kick back and relax after a long day of shopping. Ariana greeted me and asked if I was here to pick up an order; I told her I wanted to redeem that reward on my account, so she went all the way around the pickup counter to take my order. I thought there would have been only one choice for the Peanut Butter Smoothie, but Ariana said there were actually four: Health Nut, PB Mocha, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and PB&J. The menu was posted closer to the front door, which I find odd, especially because a couple of customers had just come in at that point. Not wanting to be that one customer holding up the line, I just went with a childhood favorite: PB&J. Always good in sandwich form, but in a smoothie?! Let's find out! The wait was only three minutes before Ariana was finished with my smoothie, so it was a quick stop. During those three minutes, the two customers in front had gotten their order, which included a takeout bag, and left. I suspect they had an online order, hence why it was an even quicker stop for them. The peanut butter was on top, and the jelly was on the bottom. Since the small 16 oz cup was quite small, it was difficult mixing it together, especially with how thick the smoothie was. Not only that, I didn't taste much of the jelly inside the smoothie, so it was really more like a MPBANJ (Mostly Peanut Butter and Almost No Jelly) smoothie lol. That smoothie is normally $9.39, and I would have been a little unhappy paying $9.39 for a smoothie that didn't exude as much jelly flavor in spite of how much jelly there appeared to be at first. Nevertheless, it was a tasty and refreshing smoothie, but I wish I had gotten a different PB one instead. I certainly would have considered the PB Mocha, which contains coffee, but it was close to 5 PM when I visited, and I think coffee this late in the afternoon would have given me insomnia that night. Service was good from the two female employees inside the shop. They were pretty welcoming to me and the party of two who came in after me. However, Ariana missed an 'e' when entering my name at the register, so my name was Drek lol. That was really the only flaw I saw from her. Overall, not bad! If I were on a Nekter kick and lived in La Habra, I'd certainly make this my go-to location. Since there are a couple of other locations closer to me, I almost certainly won't return to this one, but if this location is closest to you, rest assured that you can get some nice and healthy smoothies here albeit at a rather high cost.

They also offer protein smoothies, açaí bowls and juice cleanses although I haven't tried any of those so I can't speak on them. Employees were nice but also on the quiet side. Store was clean.

We typically don't order pastrami sandwiches as they're not the healthiest option, but we decided to indulge for the occasion. Unfortunately, when we received our sandwiches, the pastrami was spoiled. Moreover, there was only one gentleman attending to a line of nearly six cars. I complimented him for keeping his cool and handling the situation admirably, but it's unfortunate he was working alone. I believe a business owner should be more responsible; if you're short-staffed, you should roll up your sleeves and run your business as it should be run. No excuses. To make matters worse, when I came back to return the food, all I wanted was a gift card so I could come back for smoothies after my workouts. However, the business owner hasn't trained the staff to process returns for spoiled food; As a business owner, if you are unable to personally address clients' issues with food quality or incorrectly prepared drinks, it is crucial to train your staff to handle such situations appropriately, including offering refunds when necessary. Failing to do so may convey a lack of concern for customer satisfaction, which can be detrimental to your business. While I am not in the business of criticizing other establishments, I believe that as a friend, whether you are a man or a woman, it is important to manage your business responsibly. This approach is essential unless you are an international entity so conceited and self-centered that you disregard the quality of service provided to the customers who generate revenue for your business. Take A Look At Your Reviews Dear Owner I'll check on your business in the future and see if you have adjusted the way you train your staff

It was around 4 PM and there was a female cashier who was brunette and had her hair in a ponytail. As soon as we got inside, we barely walked up to the register and she yells at us "ITS GOING TO BE A 30 MINUTE WAIT!". My husband and I literally looked at each other in disbelief as she yelled at us in front of the other six people that were in the store. You could tell some of the other customers were shocked and just stared at us like "what the heck just happened". As we stood there, we just decided to wait to see if she would take our order. She continued to work, never acknowledged us or looked at us after that, and didn't even go to the register to take our order while we stood there, waiting patiently. I looked at my husband and said " she just yelled at us and I don't think she's going to take our order. It's not worth it. Let's just go." It's a shame and extremely disappointing to have had that experience. After that experience, I am never going to this store location again. To be treated like that when all we did was just barely walk in is disgusting. I'd rather go to the location in the Whittier Groves. It left a bad taste in my mouth and they lost my business.

My daughter didn't want to ask you to do it for the third time for fear you'll get mad. Customer service is not for everyone. I would give less stars, but they usually do a pretty good job here. We are regulars and never had any issues in the past until now, so 2 stars.

Do not be fooled by my photo LOL. It is indeed NOT FAT. They're very light on the sauces. The dutch bread is fireee asf and honestly the saving grace of this sandwich. Service: 5/10 The staff were pretty timid, but they were nice. They took LONG ASF to make three little sandwiches. Bro, 30+ minutes?? For some sandwiches??? This is coming from someone who's worked food service. They weren't even busy fam. They had like 2-3 dine-in customers that already had their sandwiches and like 2 online orders. Also, some of the tables were dirty. Had to clean ours with a napkin. Ambiance: 6/10 The interior design was pretty nice. It did feel quite empty inside. The arrangement of the tables is pretty sporadic. They could definitely convert the tables into booths with all the space they got, but it seems like they don't get a lot of foot traffic. Parking lot was quite small, but my friends and I had no issues finding a spot. TDLR: Sandwiches aren't worth the price. If you don't care about prices, have at it. I wouldn't come back here purely because our sandwiches took 30+ minutes to come out as dine-in customers. Parking lot is small but found no problem finding a spot.
