Absolutely amazing restaurant super happy I came here. Just ended up coming here on a whim, but I would recommend this restaurant to everybody. These people cook the food with love. Lamb chops were amazing. Chicken was amazing. Hummus was amazing. I could keep going forever.

Mezza Platter

Fresh Mediterranean Moroccan food right in this restaurant and can't wait to come back for more! The Mezza Platter was excellent and good for two people or even three. It was substantial and very satisfying for lunch. The Mezza Platter consisted of hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, baba ganouj, dolmen and with a small plate of fresh tahini and generous servings of pita bread. The restaurant is simple and functional. Perhaps Monday lunch was a slow day, there was only one server attending to a few customers and take-out.

This was our first time at Andalusia Kitchen and I was blown away by this amazing meal. We started with the free carrot dip and pita bread. I'd never had anything like that it was so good. We dined on Saturday and two of the specials, chicken and olives with rice, and braised beef. We're rice snobs and this rice did not disappoint, and the cous cous was also tasty. The restaurant appears to be a one man show, so if you aren't greeted the minute you walk in please wait. The building itself was the old sheriffs office in Old Town San Clemente. The next time I'm in town I'll definitely dine again.

My wife and I almost didn't eat at this restaurant. When we got to the restaurant the door was locked (even though the website said it was open) and the door had a number of restaurant labels pasted on it so we weren't sure we were even at the right place. But I was really in the mood for Mediterranean/Lebanese food so I called the telephone number and the gentleman running the restaurant answered and came to the door and opened it for us. Inside, the restaurant is very nice --- a pleasant primarily wood decor with green accents. The menu looked great too but the Moroccan dishes that were on it are only offered on Fridays and Saturdays --- and we were there on a Monday. So we decided to order the Mezza platter which had hummus, falafel, baba ganouj, tabouleh, and kibbeh (with ground meat and onion inside). All the items were superb --- really first-rate Lebanese food. Fresh ingredients that were well prepared and very filling. The mezze platter left my wife and me full. The platter came with a couple of baskets of freshly baked pita bread and a ground red dip. I don't know the name but it was delicious. I'll definitely return but next time on a Friday or Saturday so that I can try their Moroccan dishes.

Arrived for an early dinner. Chef/owner greeted us. Food was fresh and delicious. Chef recommend garlic sauce with my chicken. Very tasty and not too potent. Falafel were freshly made. The rice and salad on the 2 combo plate packed with flavor. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Wow, what a difference a day makes last night we had some of the worst Mediterranean food ever and today we had some of the best Andalusia is hidden gem in old town San Clemente run by genuine Moroccan, who cooks with passion this is a don't miss for any Mediterranean food lovers. Apparently, they've been here for four years, but they only did takeout and only recently have they added table service. It's a quaint old building that used to be the San Clemente Police Department in jail so there's a lot of history tied to it.

Never knew this place was here and just tried it today. They opened for dine in a few months ago and I can't believe I haven't seen it before. Service was very good, the gentlemen (might be the owner) was very nice. Gave us a free carrot hummus and pita starter. Then I had the flaffel which was great, very light and delicious. Then the main plate was good, rice and meat was cooked great. And the gentlemen gave us a free baklava! This place is very good for a quick dine in and a nice take out.

I stopped for a quick snack and HOLY MOLLY! It was amazing! Can't wait to go back to San Clemente to try other dishes

Had a really terrific time here with family last week - amazing food! I'd recommend one of the kabob plates - big portions and very tasty!

The iced tea was refreshing. I had finished up a 3 hour research trip walking around Mission SJC, so refreshing is an understatement. To start off, we had spinach fatayer, grape leaves, fried eggplant, and cheese fatayer. I loved the cheese fatayer! It was crispy and the cheese inside was delicious. I also added on a soup to my filet mignon shish kabob entree. I asked the waiter if the kitchen could cut my kabob into small pieces because my wrist is broken and I am unable to use a knife. He was understanding and the meat arrived in perfect bite sized pieces. The meat was so tender and seasoned appropriately. The pita and hummus were great too. My mom had the salmon, which she enjoyed. The waiter gave us personal service that triumphs over impersonal interactions at other restaurants. For dessert, my mom and I both ordered the chocolate pistachio fudge cake with a side of ice cream. Oh my! It was DELICIOUS! I remember telling my mom "thank god I was just at a church because forgive me father for I have sinned". It was decadent and rich. I even took some home and it held up well the next day. Additionally, the whole ambiance was very welcoming and chic. I really liked the light fixtures and the bathroom was very clean and elegant. Overall, my mom and I had an amazing lunch! Anytime we're back in SJC, we will be returning.

Admittedly, I tried Pasta Viva first and it was a little hard not to compare the two. This location also had the same ordering system. You order on an iPad and then the server brings you the food. I think a better system would be QR codes with the option to order on your phone. The iPads can make the experience really slow when it's busy, especially because there are only 2 kiosks total. The food was good, but for some reason the Irvine location tasted much creamier. Plus, I think Irvine seems to be having fun. This time it seemed that there were only two people working, the cook and then the food runner. It just didn't seem like things were flowing as well as they could have. I did really enjoy all the great photo ops and they also have a bigger dessert menu. Overall it was great, but for whatever reason, it seemed like the Irvine location is running slightly better (or at least on the night I visited).

Their food is rooted in Levantine cuisine which comes from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. Everything was too too good! Their house-made bread is a must-get to pair! Super fluffy and toasted to perfection. The Batata Harra Thousand Layered Potatoes were my personal favorite. The potatoes were sooo crispy and the sauce (made of labneh yogurt, chili, and lemon) that it came with had me licking up very last bit. Lastly, don't sleep on their Grilled Cabbage! It was served as a wedge and featured XO sauce, dried sausage, peanuts and tahini labneh sauce. This would probably get any kid to eat their veggies. Will most definitely be returning!
