Absolutely amazing restaurant super happy I came here. Just ended up coming here on a whim, but I would recommend this restaurant to everybody. These people cook the food with love. Lamb chops were amazing. Chicken was amazing. Hummus was amazing. I could keep going forever.

Fresh Mediterranean Moroccan food right in this restaurant and can't wait to come back for more! The Mezza Platter was excellent and good for two people or even three. It was substantial and very satisfying for lunch. The Mezza Platter consisted of hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, baba ganouj, dolmen and with a small plate of fresh tahini and generous servings of pita bread. The restaurant is simple and functional. Perhaps Monday lunch was a slow day, there was only one server attending to a few customers and take-out.

This was our first time at Andalusia Kitchen and I was blown away by this amazing meal. We started with the free carrot dip and pita bread. I'd never had anything like that it was so good. We dined on Saturday and two of the specials, chicken and olives with rice, and braised beef. We're rice snobs and this rice did not disappoint, and the cous cous was also tasty. The restaurant appears to be a one man show, so if you aren't greeted the minute you walk in please wait. The building itself was the old sheriffs office in Old Town San Clemente. The next time I'm in town I'll definitely dine again.

My wife and I almost didn't eat at this restaurant. When we got to the restaurant the door was locked (even though the website said it was open) and the door had a number of restaurant labels pasted on it so we weren't sure we were even at the right place. But I was really in the mood for Mediterranean/Lebanese food so I called the telephone number and the gentleman running the restaurant answered and came to the door and opened it for us. Inside, the restaurant is very nice --- a pleasant primarily wood decor with green accents. The menu looked great too but the Moroccan dishes that were on it are only offered on Fridays and Saturdays --- and we were there on a Monday. So we decided to order the Mezza platter which had hummus, falafel, baba ganouj, tabouleh, and kibbeh (with ground meat and onion inside). All the items were superb --- really first-rate Lebanese food. Fresh ingredients that were well prepared and very filling. The mezze platter left my wife and me full. The platter came with a couple of baskets of freshly baked pita bread and a ground red dip. I don't know the name but it was delicious. I'll definitely return but next time on a Friday or Saturday so that I can try their Moroccan dishes.

Wow, what a difference a day makes last night we had some of the worst Mediterranean food ever and today we had some of the best Andalusia is hidden gem in old town San Clemente run by genuine Moroccan, who cooks with passion this is a don't miss for any Mediterranean food lovers. Apparently, they've been here for four years, but they only did takeout and only recently have they added table service. It's a quaint old building that used to be the San Clemente Police Department in jail so there's a lot of history tied to it.

    Delicious treat!

Had a really terrific time here with family last week - amazing food! I'd recommend one of the kabob plates - big portions and very tasty!

Never knew this place was here and just tried it today. They opened for dine in a few months ago and I can't believe I haven't seen it before. Service was very good, the gentlemen (might be the owner) was very nice. Gave us a free carrot hummus and pita starter. Then I had the flaffel which was great, very light and delicious. Then the main plate was good, rice and meat was cooked great. And the gentlemen gave us a free baklava! This place is very good for a quick dine in and a nice take out.

And it starts at ten bucks. That's a ridiculous bargain. In a white tablecloth Italian restaurant, the same cheese wheel theater could easily run north of thirty dollars, probably delivered by someone wearing an apron cleaner than your kitchen towels. You can add chicken and other toppings, but I went with the three flavor pasta trio, served on a wooden plank. It's visually impressive, filling, and compared with most quick-service food these days, a genuinely respectable value. There is, however, one important thing to understand before walking through the door, everything begins with Alfredo. Pesto, tomato, and the other flavors are added afterward, but the creamy cheese sauce is the foundation. If Alfredo isn't your thing, this probably isn't your place. My wife is firmly in that camp, so she ordered a salad. That's where the operation started to wobble. The lettuce was wilted, and the green goddess dressing had an odd, unpleasant flavor. We also ordered pita bread, which appeared to have been removed from a plastic bag, cut into pieces, and dropped onto a plate without heat, seasoning, or much thought. It was cold, slightly stale, and depressing. The frustrating part is that both problems are easy to fix. Toast the pita. Brush it with olive oil. Add a little salt and herbs. Treat the salad like someone might actually be excited to eat it. The pasta trio, though? Solid. Rich, satisfying, and an excellent deal. Judging by the packed dining room on a Friday night, plenty of other people have reached the same conclusion. Zesty Olive has the Alfredo pasta experience down. Add one genuinely good olive oil based pasta for people who don't want the cream and cheese, and bring the salads and sides up to the same standard as the main attraction. Do that, and they may have a real winner.

The only portions that were really large were the mains but all of us were feeling pretty full already after the medium dishes came out. We ordered the 5 dips (which is unlimited with the supper club - least favorite was the spinach feta and best were the muhammara and date labneh), corn ribs, layered potatoes, peaches & burrata, beef tagine croquettes, fried chicken, lamb shank, honey and feta cheesecake, and sticky toffee pudding. Honestly, there wasn't one bad outlier and all of us enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was attentive and efficient. I loved the food and casual atmosphere and will definitely return to try other menu items. We were seated upstairs and noticed that when we went downstairs to leave after finishing up dinner it was much cooler downstairs, which probably would have made for a more comfortable dining experience with the recent heatwave. Their food is rooted in Levantine cuisine which comes from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. Everything was too too good! We got the Baba Ganoush with Bread, Batata Harra Thousand Layered Potatoes, and Grilled Cabbage. The Baba Ganoush is a an eggplant puree with crushed pistachios. Such a gorgeous savory dip. Their house-made bread is a must-get to pair! Super fluffy and toasted to perfection. The Batata Harra Thousand Layered Potatoes were my personal favorite. The potatoes were sooo crispy and the sauce (made of labneh yogurt, chili, and lemon) that it came with had me licking up very last bit. Lastly, don't sleep on their Grilled Cabbage! It was served as a wedge and featured XO sauce, dried sausage, peanuts and tahini labneh sauce. This would probably get any kid to eat their veggies. Will most definitely be returning!
