We will look for their other locations throughout Europe whenever we get the chance.

Rooms were clean and we had a pretty good view. Bathroom was fairly small, but again clean. Don't recall this hostel serving breakfast although there are so many cafes in Venice you will probably want to get out there and try a few out! Would recommend if you are after a brilliant location and are not fussed about 5* rooms. Booked through hostelbookers online and had no problems.

The hotel and rooms were clean, modern,and well-kept. Rooms were outfitted with multiple electrical outlets throughout. Wifi connection worked well throughout the rooms and public areas. Buffet breakfast was amazing with a large selection of hot foods (eggs, meats, vegetables, pancakes) and cold foods (cheese, fruits, pastries, breads, cereals,and yogurt). Front desk staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. They were able to arrange a quick and convenient private shuttle to the port for us. Location was convenient to cruise port and just across the street from the train station. Note that the in-house restaurant offers a 10% discount for hotel guess and allows room charge. I would definitely stay at Hotel Bologna again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.

We were in town for Carnevale, and again this was the IDEAL locale to stay. Every morning, we could get up, see everyone's gorgeous costumes in the foggy sunrise along the lagoon, and then get some coffee at Cafe Florian. The hotel has its own dock along the canal with the Bridge of Sighs in clear view. This made arriving by water taxi from the airport a breeze, and was a wonderful photo spot for my husband and me in our Carnevale costumes. The hotel offers a full breakfast buffet, which was wonderful in their little dining room. They also will call up a water taxi (€40/person, four passengers minimum) to take you on a tour of Venice, passing the major sights. Makes for an excellent opportunity to photograph yourself in front of the Rialto Bridge from the middle of the Grand Canal. The room we had was gorgeous. Giant Venetian chandelier, cloth-covered walls, paintings, a GIANT bathroom. I actually was able to sit at the counter in there to craft parts of my costume, and I was still more than 15 feet from the toilet. The staff was so kind and helpful. We felt like royalty, with or without the costumes. If you're looking for a good hotel for the festival season, I highly recommend Hotel Colombina.

I felt bad that there was only one woman working the shift and she was amazingly friendly, but stretched too thin and would disappear for periods to "cook" the food. Since it was basically empty, you could hear the chimes and slam of the microwave door as the food is heated up. Was it terrible food? No. But given a do over I would have used that night to explore more authentic restaurants in the area.

Walkable distance to everything we needed to do with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel staff (at Palazzo Paruta) was so friendly and we really appreciated their help in booking a private transfer to the airport for us for the morning of our departure (FYI - €180 for an early 4:30AM pickup at the St. Angelo port, 5 min walk from the apartment). We stayed in room 704 and having the balcony was wonderful - we spent so much time out there drinking wine, people watching, and relaxing in the evenings after a long day out. Bed was comfortable (duvet covers vs. sheets!), two TVs - one in living room area and one in bedroom, clean and very luxurious shower with both a rainfall shower and a regular detachable shower head, and a soaking tub that we didn't use but seemed to be very clean and well-maintained. As a note, due to the "wellness apartments" not operating like a hotel and per Italian regulations, there is no cleaning service or breakfast offered; however, we were surprised to come back one day to see our towels had been folded. After reaching out to their front desk, they confirmed it was indeed in their cleaning service who will only come in to fold and/or replenish towels. We were asked to use the do not disturb sign if we did not want this service. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely come back next time we are in Venice.

The breakfast was excellent and they would have a type of 'happy hour' in the late afternoon in the beautiful bar area. Giancarlo went above and beyond with his delicious food and his recommendations for us in the area. We stayed in the lovely hotel part of the site on the first floor and not the apartments. The room was quaint and charming but a bit musty. I would have loved to have had the windows open but there were no screens so bugs would have been an issue. We were happy to have ac but the bathroom was always humid and take care with the slippery bathroom floors. Again, minor issues that I feel could be fixed to make it all around 5 stars.

It's a small bed a breakfast with plenty of character, located in a quieter area of Venice just north of San Marco. It was perfect for a romantic getaway because it was walking distance from the more touristy areas (10-15 minutes) but peaceful at night if you want to escape the noise. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including a safe inside the wardrobe and a coffee maker for the morning. My favorite feature was the balcony and window though, because opening the shutters and sticking my head outside made me feel like I was in a Disney movie. I just need some talking birds to come land on my windowsill now!

We stayed in 4 hotels during our trip to Italy/Paris, and this was my favorite. We were there on the worst evening in 50 years (highest tide) and the hotel downstairs was flooded. We had to leave earlier than planned, and the managers there were very caring for us, gave us recommendation when we should plan to leave (avoid dragging suitcases in the deep water). I hope that they have been able to recover from the flood/damage. :( Due to the location (close to the water, lower ground) it would be helpful for them to keep enough rain long boots/covers for the guests in the future.

This road is the Taxi & Bus station Drop-off & pickup. Extremely convenient when staying in Venice, Italy. The People Mover Station is also close by, about a 5 minute walk. This allowed us to get to our cruise Transfer extremely easily and not have to pay $150.00 for vaporetto or Gondola with luggage - ripoff. I can personally attest the hotel is in walking distance to the Rialto bridge, Venice City Square, St. Mark's Basilica, the Bridge of sighs and an enormous amount of stores, restaurants and shops. The Olimpia Hotel has Gorgeous rooms and I stayed here twice! 1st room had a lovely view of the canal & the 2nd room had a beautiful view of the Hotel's gorgeous garden. It was my Husband's Birthday during our stay and the hotel prepared our room with a bottle of Prosecco, Gifts of cookies, candies and Venetian masks! Totally thoughtful. We also enjoyed Prosecco in the cute Lobby Bar downstairs. The hotel offers wonderful amenities, vanity kit, sewing kit, slippers, shower cap and lovely Merchant of Venice lotion & conditioner in a very meticulously prepared bathroom. The room was chock full of lights, which I love for getting ready and outlets everywhere. Additionally, there is plenty of storage and extra pillows available in the room. You can tell these rooms are built with guests in mind. Breakfast was available for €15.00 at the restaurant & they have a separate menu for room service. We opted for breakfast downstairs and it was fabulous. They even have Prosecco available for you to serve yourself alone or make a Mimosa. The indoor dining area is extensive. However, you also have the outside patio garden area as well as the front of the hotel, facing the lovely canal to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Just make sure to cover your meal or the Seagulls will snatch it up. My only issue was No English TV channels, which may not seem like a big deal but when you're staying an extended time, it's pretty annoying. I truly loved everything about this hotel, the location is absolutely astounding and we were treated wonderfully. I will definitely stay here again when I'm traveling to Venice.

They have excellent front desk people. Alvise was great in answering questions, always smiling and very good in guiding us places to eat, catch water bus, gondola service etc. We reached an hour early and lucky to get a room. Checked in without any issues and went to get some good and sightseeing. Rooms are maintained well. We had a queen bed , with 2 additional twin beds. The wifi is great in the hotel rooms. The shower had nice flow and very spacious bathrooms. Everything is maintained really well. We had a situation with Ac and the staff at night time cane and assisted us out. The breakfast was fabulous best so far we had in hotels. It was a grand buffet. The luggage storage rooms came handy, and we enjoyed the stay and will definitely consider it again.

During my recent stay in Venice, I reserved the Hotel Abbazia as it was one of the best locations near the Santa Lucia Railway Station. Literally, the hotel was 700 ft from the station, down an alleyway as I passed several restaurants; you can't beat the convenience and the price! For a budget hotel, this was a simple and decent stay--the room offers a small flat-screen TV, iron board and hairdryer, mini-refrigerator and air conditioner, and a hard ol' mattress queen bed, not the most comfortable bed but it was doable for the time that I spent there. The only thing it didn't offer was a damn elevator; BOO! Good thing for friends because my homegirl and her boyfriend were able to take my heavy ass suitcase up to the second floor or else a sista' would have been struggling! The hallways to the bedrooms were this sexy red lighting that automatically came on when it sensed any movement. I liked it but I sensed that my friends thought it was pretty creepy. The hotel offers a beautiful elegant dining/bar area with a gorgeous chandelier. This is also where free breakfast is served in the morning. I hear breakfast offered an array of different pastries and fruit. If you have time to eat breakfast, I would give it a shot. Make sure you also check out the back-garden seating area. It's perfect for enjoying your breakfast in the morning or coming out to get some fresh air. The staff during the evening was nice, however, I felt that the gentleman became irritated with me as the bedroom door had slammed shut on me as I was walking my friends out of my bedroom, and it just so happened that I had left my keys in the room. Also, just like similar hotels in Italy, the air conditioners turn off after a certain time, making these rooms stuffy. The only option I had was to open the window; UGH. The rooms are quiet, I couldn't hear my neighbors at all. The bathroom was super small, and the showers were not the best. The water temperature only provided cold water; BOO! You can tell the facility is a little outdated and needs some TLC. Within the area alone, there are varies different restaurants. Once you walk out of the hotel, you are right in front of all the activities. You can take a Water Boat to any side of Venice, or you can do what I did and just walk the whole City as its pretty doable to do in 8 hours. There are also bars all throughout the area, making for a great night. If you are looking for more of a convenient hotel near the station and close to many of the landmarks in Venice, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying for less than 2 nights. P.S-If you are planning to leave your luggage at this hotel as you roam the Venice area, please note that this hotel doesn't lock the door to the luggage room. Make sure you take your valuables with you.
