Great place that doesn't resemble a youth hostel at all when talking rooms. It's like a hotel.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel until the last part of our trip when we began noticing that…read moreitems from our room were missing. On Friday, 11/08/25, we realized that a small bag containing only our receipts, which had been sitting on the dresser by the mirror, was gone. Since it was only receipts, we did not think much of it at the time. The next day, Saturday, 11/09/25, the jewelry and gifts we had purchased in Murano also went missing. These included a thank you gift for my sister (red Murano glass earrings), a bracelet and earrings for our daughter, and a Murano glass bottle opener. All of the items were kept together in their jewelry boxes in a plastic bag on the dresser in front of the mirror. Altogether, the value was about €80. We discovered the items were missing on Sunday while packing and doing laundry and immediately reported it to the front desk on 11/09/25. We were told that both the front desk manager and general manager were off that day. Staff said they spoke with the cleaner assigned to our room, who denied taking anything. Since there are no cameras inside rooms, there was unfortunately no way for us or the hotel to verify what happened. When we checked out on Monday, 11/10/25, we spoke with the front desk manager. He was polite, apologetic, and tried to help. He refunded us $10 for the laundry coins we had purchased, but that did not come close to the value of the missing items. He suggested that perhaps the items had been mixed in with the blankets and thrown away accidentally, but we explained that everything had been sitting on the dresser, not in the bedding, and the items were heavy and in boxes. After returning home, I waited about a month to see if management would follow up or offer any additional resolution, but I never heard back. I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but this was very disheartening, especially because we traveled to Venice for our wedding anniversary and had an otherwise wonderful stay. Unfortunately, this situation left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a perfect trip.

When we arrived, we were shown to the room immediately after a brief introduction to the hotel and city. We were offered any advice we needed as well as access to concierge services gratis. The staff was welcoming and friendly as well. It's very comfortable. The room decor was elegant and the bed was wonderful after a long trip. Coffee and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were also waiting for us. The view is really, truly right on the canal. It's fantastic but surprisingly quiet at night, likely due to the excellent windows We took the water taxi to the San Marco Square then walked back and it was about a 30 minute walk with beautiful shops and restaurants almost the entire way. Final note, the breakfast was a very good value with a diverse selection and excellent coffee. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Big breakfast array included in room price. 7th floor room had sliding doors to a balcony - no great view, but still nice to have more space for a small room. NICE toiletries in bathroom. I got sick while I was there, and they let me take a pot of hot water up to my room with teabags, so I was able to keep making tea in the room with hot water from the lobby machine. Fridge - handy as there is a grocery store down the street (right out of the hotel, next right on main street that goes to downtown Mestre). CONS - AC set on very cold, and you can turn it down or off, but every time I came back to my room it had reset itself to very cold. Bed ok - a little hard. Elevators are slow. One seems more reliable than the other, but allow a few extra minutes. For bus to Treviso, desk person told me I had to go to the bus depot down the street. She was wrong. The stop for the Bari shuttle (10 euros) to Treviso is right outside a ticket office around the corner on the main street. There is a permanent bus stop sign that says Bari. No ATM in hotel. If you don't want to use the one at the train station, you must walk 15 min into Mestre. (That is, the reason not to use the ATM at the train station is that people are advised to be very careful at stations for pickpockets, etc.)

Walking distance from everything you want in Venice. They gave us a free bottle of Bellini when we checked in. Great breakfast buffet right on the water, that was included with our room for being Marriott elite members. This has to be one of the nicest best hotels in Venice. The only somewhat downside is that because this is such a nice hotel, room service and the food options at the hotel are completely overpriced. But that's the case almost everything in Venice from what we saw. If there was some more reasonable food and beverage options at this hotel i would have given it 5 stars

I was looking for a last minute hotel in Venice that had at least a four-star review online, this hotel popped up on another site showing decent reviews and being located across the street from train station made it a perfect match. We took the train from Florence to Venice and as others have said, as soon as you walk outside the train station Venezia-Mestre, just cross the street and there it is. Check-in was a breeze and they honored our request when I booked online to have the rooms close to each other. Prior to booking, I read someone's review mentioning to get an extension cord prior to heading up to a room, so I did ask if there was an outlet near the beds, to which the lady said there should be. Unfortunately, there wasn't but I called down to the lobby and they quickly brought one up (not a big deal, just and fyi). The lobby was very nice and gave to hotel a very fancy, modern look. There were two elevators, both which worked quickly. The hallways were updated and looked really clean and nice as well. The room looked a little outdated, but it was very large and comfortable. The air conditioner worked great and bed was comfortable. I read some other reviews complaining about the mattress being too hard, I didn't find that to be the case. In fact I believe it was a memory-foam mattress which made it even more comfortable. The bathroom was updated and nice, but unfortunately the toilet was right in front of the sink, so for someone that is 6'4, it's a little difficult to squeeze in there lol (check out my photo). The wifi was a little weak up on the 7th floor, but it was still usable. The biggest upside to this hotel is the location. Outside, you can catch the #2 bus that goes directly to Venice (takes about 10 minutes), catch a train or take cab. Plenty of options. We took the bus both ways and had no issues, it also drops you off in front of the hotel as well. Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is about a 20 minute cab ride. TIP: You can buy the bus/train tickets for €1.50 each way outside of the train station by the bus stop on a computer terminal. There's a button for English and it will guide you through it, I'd recommend to just buy a round trip ticket for €3 to save from a hassle later. Keep in mind the water-bus in Venice costs €7.50.

When we arrived it took them 30 minutes to find our reservation and the woman at reception acted like she was annoyed we were standing there trying to check in. The room is spacious and that is the only redeeming quality about it. There are beds in jail that are softer than this thing. My bed on the cruise ship was softer. The hotel try's to cater towards tourist but fails in every aspect. There is no explanation of how to make anything work in the room. The heat/AC is a 2 part control with no wording on it just dials and buttons. Had to call down and ask how to make it colder in the room and was told to play with it and I will figure it out. They give you a fridge in the room but it is so overstock with mini bar items it is not usable. The lighting is very poor and confusing as some of the switches next to the bed don't turn on the light next to you they turn on the light in front of the small bed. The water temperature and pressure of the shower is pitiful. Wife wanted to take a warm bath and could not as the warm water coming out was probably at about a gallon every 3 minutes. So we decided to take a shower. Same problem the water pressure and temperature were terrible. At it highest pressure it was like someone was lightly peeing on your back. We ended having to stay here for two nights and the raw sewage smell at night in the rooms and the lobby will keep you up. When telling management about the smell they acted like I was crazy even though other guest that were not part of my party agreed with me and the staff just brushed it off. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
