Not only was the team helpful in allowing me to make the change in my schedule, they made sure to put the paperwork in order, so that the financing would transfer to the new unit in a timely manner. The area and the facility is nice. Very clean and secure, however their rate increase is getting very ridiculous. I purchased a storage space in 2022 and my monthly premium was $109. It's now $128 PLUS a $5 storage fee bringing my total to $133. They are charging a f fee just for having a storage unit with them which makes zero sense to me because I'm already paying for a storage unit. So in addition to paying my monthly premium, they want to charge me again for having a unit with them. And then I noticed in my invoice that in January 2024, if you decide to pay over the phone or in person, they will charge you $8.45, I guess because it's an inconvenience to them. I definitely don't see myself staying here very long, and while customers can't avoid capitalism's greed, I hope people who are looking for a place to store. Their items can find better companies that don't charge you for everything under the sun. read more

Have had a unit here for the last 6 months for my business, but will not be keeping it into the new year because they started nickel and diming with all the extra fees, and I just received notification that they were upping my rent another $10. I can get a larger unit at any of the MANY other storage facilities in the area for what they want or less. Decent setup process online other than requiring you use a disc lock (I have always just used heavy duty pad locks) Biggest issue was they did not offer me the use of their moving truck that they reserve specifically for new customers only (asked about using it after being there for a couple of months because it only sits out front) And the worst thing is honestly just driving through the aisles to get to my until in the back. The facility was built on a hill, and they did ZERO grading, so it waves back and for (they only flattened the areas for the slabs of the units) so if you try coming through here, bring motion sickness pills, especially if you are in a bigger vehicle. read more

Horrible! Had several pieces of oak furniture recently inherited from my grandmother, after a few months I was called about a "water issue" and told I should check my unit. I arrive and was greeted instead by the usual 1 attendant but by a team of 4 people seemingly there for damage control. I took the time to inspect the storage unit & surrounding area and discovered literally INCHES of crap built up in the gutters causing the roof to leak! The team of 4 then told me that I was SOL with all the damage b/c regardless of the reason they claim zero responsibility. I fully understand a company trying to limit its liability especially if this had been the result of a huricain or something but when you pay extra for climate control, I kinda expect it to include a little routine maintenance like cleaning out the gutters at least once a year. Very unhappy with this storage location and the customer service I received! (P.S. My home insurance has had to pick up $8,000 worth of hardwood furnature repairs!) read more

I'm not one to write reviews, but I feel the need to express the way I was treated as a service to everyone in the Davidson/Cornelius area. This summer I split a storage unit with a friend at Anchor Self Storage in Cornelius. We paid a reasonable amount for the unit and I felt safe leaving my things there for the 3 month break. However, when I returned to school last Friday, I was disgusted to find that my belongings were infested with roaches after being in my storage unit. My friend and I had to go through all of our belongings and clean and wash everything after killing and getting rid of the ridiculous number of roaches. When I went in to let the owners of Anchor Self Storage know about the problem, the man I spoke to did not seem concerned in the least. He simply said it was a "store at your own risk facility" and that if the people's belongings next to ours attracted bugs into our unit there was nothing they could do about it, (even though it explicitly states in my contract that it is the liability of the owners of Anchor Self Storage for any damages caused by insects). I was very upset by the way I was treated being told "I wouldn't come back either girlfriend" by an employee. I did not feel respected as a paying customer or as a person. I do not recommend that anyone uses this storage facility in the future. They were not concerned by the quality of their service or the protection of your belongings. read more
