Over the course of more than a month, there was constant back-and-forth communication, and the shower floor pitch was installed incorrectly twice. I also clearly communicated that my flooring contractor would address the trim. Despite this, I received a text message stating they intended to stop work mid-project, leaving me with a broken and unfinished shower floor. This situation has been extremely frustrating, as I am now forced to find and coordinate a new contractor to fix and complete the work. Please use caution when considering this company. In hindsight, I regret not going with my original contractor.

Weather was an issue but what was more of an issue was that he worked alone and talked on his phone more than he seemed to work. Many people were commenting on how slow he was working. The rot under the siding was fixed well, the stairs were done in the back well, stairs in front my husband felt the support was suspect (means 4x4s were cut short - he made up some excuse that this was his intent) and door window was damaged and cracked. We have tried to contact him on multiple occasions, even going so far as forgetting all the support issues but wanted our door window repaired or replaced. He has ghosted us!! This is unacceptable. We paid him to do a job and didn't hold back any money (our mistake - now he has no reason to call us back). So now our only option is to hire a lawyer to get our door window repaired or replaced because at this point that's all we care about. We didn't pay all that money to have a door that doesn't function properly!

When it got time for me to get the bathrooms done I had the tough task of finding someone I could trust to do the work; as a single girl in the city I didn't want to get taken advantage of. Luckily, my handyman got me in touch with Tim at LA Remodel. Tim and his partner Mike are great. They came out, we talked about what I needed done and gave me an estimate. The work they did was excellent and completed quickly. Since they knew I was on a budget they consulted any time something unexpected came up that would cost more or let me know if there were ways I could save some money, which is why I decided to paint the bathrooms myself and save some cash. I felt like Tim was psychic, I told him what type of look I was going for and all of the samples he brought for me to choose from were spot on. He even picked the faucets that I would've chosen myself. They were also really neat and clean; you get to one bathroom through my bedroom and you could hardly tell they'd been there they cleaned up so well on a daily basis; my rug was cleaner than it was before they started! This is a walkout deck so we had them install the Trex Rain Escape underneath and finished off with white PVC bead board. We had a few issues and they addressed them right away with no hassle.
