I had an awful experience with IBI. The entire project was mismanaged (3 different project managers…read morein a 6 month period) with poor communication, poor workmanship, and an owner (Tony) who would rather battle his clients than right any wrongdoing by his company. We had them do three different areas of tilework; kitchen backsplash, powder room floor, and a 225 sq ft sunroom. All three areas had to be redone as the workmanship was such a poor quality. I had to hire a separate company to fix the powder room floor after IBI botched the job twice (see white mosaic tile picture). The kitchen backsplash tile spacing was extremely uneven (the installer used torn pieces of construction paper for spacers) and had to be ripped out and reinstalled. The tile spacing in the sun room (10" dark gray hexagon tiles) was off by as much as .5" in places and tiles had to be removed and reinstalled. The grout color was mixed incorrectly and way lighter than it was supposed to be. On top of all that, the charged us more than double industry standard for the work. We eventually had to take them to arbitration to receive credits that were owed. Almost all of the work was subcontracted. The only work that IBI actually did was install new cabinets. The kitchen was gutted and their "designer" created a layout that could not fit a standard sized refrigerator. They did not realize this until everything was done and the fridge didn't fit in the space allotted. We were left with a damaged fridge (dented by IBI in the moving process - another matter that was settled in arbitration) that was sticking out 3 feet into our kitchen for months while we battled to get the issue corrected. They eventually had to rip out the cabinets and modify the design so that we could have a standard sized fridge. Save yourself a major headache and avoid Incredible Builders. Hire someone else who can do the job right the first time. Also, be cautious of the positive reviews that are sure to follow this one. Tony has been known to hassle customers who had an ok experience and pressure them to write positive reviews to save face for the company. If you want to get a true glimpse of who you'd be dealing with, check out the complaint section on the Better Business Bureau. Slam dunk?

He also does an awesome job showing us what was done to make sure we are happy with the results. For the exterior issue, we had quite a few quotes from other places that were astronomical and required a lot of work to accomplish. Sinat was able to find a different approach that saved us time and money. We definitely recommend Sinat for any house related issues and trust he will do an awesome job. Definitely will not hesitate to call him for future needs (we have an old house..)!

Received a couple quotes from different painting companies, and Painters Touch was the company I…read morechose to paint my massive two story, 100 year old Victorian building located in Barrington, IL. Everything about the process was seamless, timely, and the communication between Nick (the owner) and his right-hand man Angelo was fantastic. The Benjamin Moore paint used really brought a new life to the building, and looks shiny and new. With all the intricate details of this old building, I knew it was one heck of a challenge to take on, but it was not problem for Painters Touch. Their pricing was fair and straightforward which I appreciated. The team went out of their way to make sure everything was pristine, and even asked if they could paint our rusty mailboxes in a similar color scheme so that everything from head to toe was cohesive. Would recommend them to anyone!

FIVE DAYS later with no response emailed them again. Got boilerplate excuse (busy season, miscommunication, blah, blah) saying I'd have a quote by email. I followed up TWO DAYS later, and got a quote with a two page list of conditions, one of which required a 50% deposit with NO COMMITMENT for date(s) the service would be provided. Also they listed credit card as an acceptable payment method but DID NOT reveal that they assessed a 3% service charge (I had to ASK in a separate communication). Cannot comment on quality of the actual service I was requesting because I declined the quotation. If they CANNOT communicate in the quotation stage, how am I supposed to trust them by just GIVING them money in advance and no commitment for the work?
