David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

The original cuts were bad, but Tony and his team came in and cleaned everything up. What really stood out was how honest and transparent Tony was from start to finish. He didn't just do the job, he went out of his way to help me out. He showed me that my roofers hadn't done the balcony right; they'd put the roofing over the limestone instead of under it and skipped replacing some rotted wood. Because of that, I was able to get them back out to fix it for free. He also pointed out that the mold remediation guys had removed a light fixture box, which they're now coming back to replace at no cost. It's rare to find someone who actually looks out for you like that. Tony saved me a lot of money and headaches. I honestly won't do another project without him. Just an all-around good, honest guy who does great work and takes pride in it. If you want someone dependable who actually cares, call Tony.

Our project consisted of extensive drywall repairs after trim and chair rail removal. Painting, Wallpapering a 25ft stairwell, stairway railings, door painting and of course ceilings and trim. The photos don't do the job justice as we had work upstairs, downstairs, and even a repair job to the side of the house from water damage. Steve's employees were extremely skilled, fast, neat perfectionists. They weren't beginners or summer college students. They were very experienced at what they do. The price stuck at exactly what he quoted even though there were some adjustments here and there. The wallpaper job was exemplary and we were very particular about that aspect because it was custom wallpaper and very expensive. Steve is not a pressure salesman and he just does what he says he's going to do, and the work was perfect and fast. His quote was reasonable, and his work was fantastic - from patching three small drywall holes and painting only that section of a wall, to clean-up of various nicks and scratches previously incurred, to completely changing the paint color in one of our bedrooms... the patches are not visible, the ceiling lines were clean, blending was nearly invisible, he worked quickly and efficiently, and he performed all cleanup.
