Started out good as they came out fast for a quote. Since the other companies I contacted either did not callback or said it would be 2 months just to come give a quote, they got the job. Did the work but I give them a B- for quality. Could not paint because it started snowing. Within a few weeks a board came loose, and it took several calls to get them to come back and fix it. Spring came and they never returned to paint. After several calls and discussions about what "Paint as needed" written on the contract means. Today they came back to paint. They only painted the boards they replaced not the whole thing. It looks poorly. If you use them make sure you have everything they are to do spelled out in the contract. I had spent months trying to find anyone to do a small roof repair where a racoon had torn a small hole in my roof over my front porch. Most wanted to replace the entire roof section for $1400. Carson came out early the day after contacting Home Fixers and offered a price less that the original roofers who had done the roof 4 years ago. Did a nice job, work looks good, and he did a better job than I would have. Fixed it quickly too. Very nice young man. John replaced our garage attic ladder (the kind that folds up into the ceiling). It is a project many others wouldn't even quote. Home Fixers were awesome. Showed up on time to do the estimate. Provided a quick quote and scheduled the work. They purchased all the supplies needed for the job (and didn't charge a commission for that). Removed the broken ladder, replaced with the new ladder and installed nice face trim. Cleaned up the work area nicely. It works perfectly and looks nice. The front gable above our bough window needed spot repair & replacement after a new roof was installed. Roy replaced the vertical siding, replaced the aluminum fascia, and installed roof-to-wall flashing, as well as replacing a couple of pieces of aluminum soffit at the back of our home. As we expected, we had to wait a bit for them to fit in this odd job, but we were kept informed and were very pleased when the work was completed. Very good quality finish. If they do this well on a small job, we'd expect the best for a larger one and would hire them again gladly. read more

Manny just left, and I want you to know that he did a FABULOUS job! I could not be happier with the work he did adding height to my vanity, fixing the left side of the vanity that had had water damage, and painting. He even painted the cabinet and doors below the height addition because the paint color I bought (according to the previous owner) didn't quite match. On top of all that, he patched the wall where the countertop people had removed the countertop! This man is a pro, a real craftsman. And on top of all of that, he completely cleaned up and didn't take a break for six straight hours. The Home Fixers price was also better than the two local individual handymen I tried, and the office communication with me was super! The office was very responsive and the actual handyman service was great. Had a few electrical repairs in the bathroom; vanity light, vent switch, patch work est. Price was comparable and the work was done well. Took away stars for cleanliness and timeliness. Totally get that sometimes it cant be helped, but the repair man dragged dirt all the way upstairs and didn't put anything down to prevent dust and drywall debris from falling while he worked. Also he was not able to finish the job due to having a scheduling conflict, so he abruptly left halfway through. I needed help taking care of a few small things around the house -- namely, an exterior shutter that had come loose and a front storm door that needed the "stopper" moved from the bottom to the top. All handyman companies I contacted had the standard "That will be $200/hour, blah blah blah....". Not so with Home Fixers. I spoke with Judy on the phone and told her I only had these 2 relatively tiny projects that needed fixing, and could they help? She immediately said yes and scheduled a time for Frank to come out and give an estimate. I kind of felt badly that my projects were so small (it ended up being less than $75 for everything to get done), but everyone at Home Fixers was professional and friendly. The work looks GREAT and I will definitely hire them again for other things I have on my to-do list but am not comfortable tacking myself. We recently had Roy at Home Fixers replace the exterior shutters on our home. He also painted the surface behind them before installing the new ones. He did a fantastic job, the install was quick and affordable. Alan, the owner, also took the time to call before the install and followed up to make sure it went well. We then hired Roy back to repair exterior areas of dry-rot. He did a nice job measuring/replacing the wood, and painting the surfaces. Again efficient and fairly priced. We hired Home Fixers for some handy man work. Work was good so I decided to hire them for painting job. That was huge mistake. After he started and patched he told us that the rollers and supplies were not included in the price. Same with patching small places. It took him 30 minutes to patch and the cost was extra 300$. When we hired them we only agreed to buy paint. He also was doing another job at the same time so we were stuck with place in total mess. Work was sloppy, even with us spending so much on plastic and paper for protection there was paint all over the floor. We were literally cleaning after him. There were also places that he missed that I had to go with brush after he left. And we spent tons of money, they were not cheap. read more

Home Fixers, specifically Ron, did an excellent job installing a French patio door and custom casement window for me last week. Ron was professional, efficient, courteous, skilled, and a perfectionist. He did a fantastic job. Which undoubtedly is the reason why his services are booked so far in advance! Alan, the manager I presume, was very easy to work with, honest, and communicated well and in a timely manner, answering all questions. Home Fixers is also price competitive - their cost was significantly better than any contractor one might get from Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Also, they came out and measured the window for me, then provided me with window options/costs to consider, while I ordered the door myself from a "home improvement store". Most Door and Window Replacement contratctors will not install a door the customer supplies themselves - wanting instead to make an additional profit by marking up a door they supply to you. Not so with Home Fixers. All in all a very positive experience and I will use them for other household projects in the future. read more
