Once you walk inside you can tell how much pride the owners have in their store with the beautiful pieces they carry and the cool aesthetic of the studio. All of the piercing rooms are nice and private, but also airy and very calming. As soon as I walked in everyone greeted me and one of the staff members took time to explain which pieces I could choose from, how they varied in price, and assured me they were all high quality and safe to use. I've never been to a piercing studio with so many options, especially beautifully unique pieces like the ones Anatomic carries! This place is AWESOME. Friend and I got our septums done last December by Leann, who did an AWESOME job. Both of us were first timers with facial piercings and obviously very nervous, but the entire crew made us feel so comfortable the whole time. Leann walked us through every step, assessed our anatomy first, and walked us through everything beforehand and as it happened. We're both brass students in the SoM, so face stuff is very important to us. She was very patient and honest with our questions about the healing process, the nature of the piercing, and how it'd line up with our needs as musicians. Idk how evident it is, but my sweet spot is a little higher than most and my nostrils are apparently "a little tight", so Leann sent me out with it flipped up to help accommodate my scale juries the following week. She LISTENS, she's not just here to stab you and leave! My friend was also quite light headed after piercing, so she took the time between piercing and actually putting the jewelry in to breathe, chat, and get her feeling better. They also sent us out w lollipops lmao. I came back in May on a brief trip into town to buy some more jewelry because the experience was THAT pleasant. The sales staff I worked with from each experience (Megan and Carter, respectively) are equally as attentive, polite, and thorough. I always tip like crazy here because I genuinely love it! I returned to Anatomic Body Arts to have my piercings checked up on and replace jewelry in a previous piercing with better quality pieces. Leann took a look at my lobes and conch, and she let me know that they were on the right track to being fully healed. While I haven't experienced any complications with my piercings, it was great to have a professional tell me that all is well. As for the new jewelry, I was excited to pick up a pair of Maria Tash rings for my second lobe piercings. (Side note: Maria Tash has such great jewelry, and I was so surprised to be able to find them in Gainesville. The shop does a good job of curating interesting pieces for their clients that are both classic and safe.) Leann sterilized the rings and installed them for me. It has taken me a while to write this post, but I had such a terrible experience with this shop right before covid. I went in for a septum piercing and the woman who did the piercing was talking to my friend the entire time. Because of this, she pierced straight through my cartilage, creating a crooked piercing that hurt so incredibly bad that I passed out for a second. I was told the septum piercing should not really be that painful, but it was the most painful experience of my life. I have never passed out from anything, let alone a piercing or tattoo. The piercing never healed (because the septum piercing should NOT be pierced through the cartilage of the nose) and I eventually had to take it out. A waste of money, and honestly? A very traumatic experience. I do not like writing bad reviews, and it has been a while since I had this bad experience, but I really expected more from a shop that is certified with the Association of Professional Piercers. read more

NEGATIVE. Bodytech has the SAME swarvoskis, better prices, more professional. I have over 10 piercings, spending about 2K on my body jewlry. And 45k on body modifications & cosmetic surgury. (My appearance isnt upscale. Im HUMBLE. Therefore look POOR to some people. Im a single, 30's, latina mom). I choose a $65 "flat swarvoski" nostril piercing. Because I know what I WANT in my NOSE. Over 2 people talking, The wife says to her husband, from the other room, regarding my jewelry, "is it an upgrade or just cubic circonia"? He said "no just cubic". (As if I couldn't hear them, pretending to be on my phone). I prepaid her tip $15. After my piercing, the wife/owner/piercer, said "it MAY LOOK BIGGER than the one you selected. You HAVE TO GET USED to the size". When I got in the car, the light shown on it and it WAS NOT a flat SWARVOSKI jewel. I had to go home because my mom was waiting in the car. A word of advice? LeAnn is AMAZING! She answered my questions in FB messenger at 6 am about my piercings when my appointment wasn't until 9pm. The building is immaculate. I was able to see the sterilizers, the sterilized instruments, and the HEPA filters. I had no worries about covid-19 or other diseases. She has a perfect balance being knowledgeable and kind. I went in Saturday to get a conch piercing on the recommendation of a friend. I was originally hesitant to go anywhere in town after being frustrated with another shop in town over just a jewelry order because I was trying to support local. First walking in I was greeted by a young girl behind the counter, Leann and a man working the shop. The shop is super clean, laid out well with the space and the jewelry selection they have is impressive! I filled out the form and selected my jewelry. I went to the back piercing room with Leann and the girl from the counter that originally greeted me (who was super sweet and knowledgeable I feel terrible I didn't get her name!). As I was in the chair getting marked up we were all chatting. They were hilarious and super fun to talk with. They took their time, didn't make me feel rushed and treated me like an old friend. Leann went over aftercare before and after the piercing which is good so you remember. While getting the actual piercing it was completely painless and Leann was amazingly professional throughout the process. They sell their own piercing wash which I bought, it the same price as going to the store, saves a trip and you it's got the right ingredients...they don't mark it up crazy at all so I'd much rather give them the money for it. I had my piercing 2 days ago, it feels great, no problems, no swelling even (BONUS!). I can't wait for this one to heal and go back and get my next (I have a couple more conchs I want). I'm so glad I listened to the girls at Ciao Bella salon and checked this place out. You can tell from their website they've put a lot of effort into being an extremely reputable shop. I actually went here to get my nipples pierced, and I'm so glad that I did because the staff were very friendly and answered all my questions (yes, even the stupid ones). The location is very clean, and they sterilized my jewelry inside a machine before use. Not to mention, there's a large collection to pick from and it's all internally threaded. Of the four piercings I currently have, three came from Anatomic (septum, lobes and navel). I got my very first piercing (septum) on my 18th birthday at Anatomic and it was an amazing and pleasant experience! After getting my septum done, the rush of getting piercings completely overtook me, causing me to keep returning. The store is extremely clean and professional. They only do piercings, so you don't feel like you're sitting in the back of Bob's Tattoo shop with a tattoo artist who knows how to pierce a couple of things. The cost for every piercing service itself is pretty average, but the jewelry is what causes the store to be more expensive than others. Despite this, it is completely worth it as the jewelry is stunning and made of grade-A material. Kristen has done two of my piercings now (lobes and navel) and she was so nice and talked me through both of my piercings! I don't plan on getting any more piercings at the moment, but Anatomic is the only place I'd consider getting more! read more

Brought my daughter here to have her ears repierced after another local shop wouldn't listen that I wanted it done with a hollow needle. She hated the piercing gun at the other shop and, just like I expected, her ears never healed properly. We waited almost two years and then she wanted them fixed so we found Anatomic Body Arts and I could not be happier. I called to schedule an appointment and even just over the phone our experience was already exceptionally positive. Once we got there for her appointment everyone there was reassuring and explained everything from start to finish. Everything was sterilized right in front of us so there was no question as to cleanliness, though the shop itself is very well lit and obviously clean. No one made her feel even a little bad for being nervous - they told her that's normal and reminded her multiple times that if she felt scared or uncomfortable all she had to do was say the word and they'd stop until she was ready. Her piercer was extremely patient and talked *to* her about each step as it was going to happen, and when she could see she was struggling with nerves she asked her to tell her stories while she worked because it "helped her concentrate". This was such a good experience I'll be suggesting them to everyone I know for both themselves and their kids. read more

This was my second time going to this shop, and while my previous experience was good, I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated coming in to get a replacement piercing. I came in excited to purchase a pincher piercing which I had wanted for a while and was happy to put down 30 dollars on it. 30 dollars is a lot for me. I'm a self-supporting college student, so this was my only 'treat yo' self' purchase I could make for the next few months. I came in, found the type of septum I had wanted, and they found the one which was 'supposably' the right size for me. Leann, the owner, put the piercing in for me and it was painfully obvious the jewelry did not fit. The piercing looked ridiculous. It was way to small, and wasn't even visible. I was obviously upset and asked for a larger size, but was told I would have to purchase another piece. Of course, I didn't have the money to purchase another piece of jewelry, I had spent everything on a piece that looked like shit on me. I ended up walking out of the store $30 short, with the same circular barbells I had come in with, and a pincher I'll never wear. What's most upsetting to me is that I was expected to pay for THEIR mistake. If I had picked the size myself, I would have perfectly understood paying for my mistake. But I wasn't offered a replacement, refund, or even a simple apology. I work in the service industry, so I know how people will really try to milk the system for everything its worth. However, sometimes people genuinely mess up! Thats fine, but its the responsibility of the store to make sure a customer gets what they paid for. The whole experience made me feel cheated. I had walked into the store hoping to end my shitty day on a good note, but left feeling worse than before. I guess a shitty day deserves a shitty end. I don't think I'll be going back. read more
