I have gotten my past three tattoos here. I love this shop, everyone is kind and friendly. My artist is Marc and he has crushed all of my tattoos! He's super patient and makes me feel confident in him. I am always impressed with his work! I love the vibes of the shop and the other employees as well! I would absolutely recommend this shop, and artist to everyone! I won't go anywhere else for my tattoos! Marc does amazing geek/ otaku tattoos, and I will continue to go back to him! Every idea I throw at him, he comes up with the best designs! I swear every time I get a new tattoo by him, I am in awe of the quality. He really is a great artist! I've already gotten two tattoos with Keith and he always does an amazing job. I am always more than satisfied with my tattoos. He takes his time and makes sure you are satisfied with the stencils before proceeding . Real chill , friendly dude and he makes sure you are comfortable as well. Highly recommend! Came in about two weeks ago for a helix piercing on both ears. It was $80 for the both of them. I was informed their piercer's days off are Monday/Tuesday, but he's there every other day. They take walk ins. They do accept only cash, but they have an atm right in the lobby if you're like most people and don't carry more than a couple bucks All of the staff were super friendly and nice, encouraged me to return if I had any questions or needed help with the piercing. The piercings were done with a piercing needle instead of a gun, which I had been searching for! It was a cartilage piercing, and guns can shatter the cartilage and are not as sanitary/have a longer healing period due to the trauma done. Again, everyone was very sweet! You wont find that at every tattoo shop in Gainesville... I'll definitely be back for more! :) read more

My first ever tattoo was done here and came out badly. My best friend and I came in and got matching Mickey Mouse tattoos. Hers came out perfect but mine is messed up. The face and right ear are pointy and one part has the line thinner than the rest of the tattoo. I am very disappointed and upset my worst fear came true about getting a tattoo. read more

John and the rest of the team were everything I was looking for in a piercer! I've spent forever poring over reviews, trying to find a shop in one of several cities across the state of Florida, and this was where we landed. The shop had a positive and friendly atmosphere, and everyone working there seemed pleasant and knowledgeable. Shop banter was amusing, for sure. The website said they took walk-in's, so we showed up just after they opened to check things out, get a quote and quick consultation, and see when they'd have time for us. John gave us a really thorough and honest breakdown of the care required and the options, and told us he'd be free in an hour and a half. When we returned, the receptionist was really friendly and helpful, the paperwork went quickly, and our piercer came out talked us through the last couple of options to be sure we knew what we wanted. Once we had it all worked out, it was smooth sailing and great conversation. He gave us a really wonderful and comprehensive breakdown of the aftercare and the mistakes that people make, and explained all of the possible problems and solutions on a biological level, when asked to elaborate. The shop has a great follow-up policy, and if anything goes wrong, it will be worth the four and a half hour drive for me to come back to Addiction to deal with it. read more

I wanted to get a tattoo that I had written myself so I first walked into body tech and they said they couldn't do it because it wasn't a handwriting they had on file. they said I would have to double the size to get the detail I wanted. i was pretty bummed so I walked right across the street to this place and Ron was the one who said it was a great idea that I designed the tattoo. he scanned it and blew it up and tweaked it a little so it was smooth. it was all in my own handwriting and it looks so beautiful. it is exactly the size I want and Ron made me feel so comfortable despite the fact that this was my first tattoo (and it was on my RIBS). overall definitely go to this place and NOT body tech. read more

I got my nose pierced here October 2018 and could not have had a better experience. I came to the shop very last minute, they actually just closed, but the piercer was standing outside when I showed up and said he would do it for me anyways. This place is very laid back and welcoming. My piercer was absolutely amazing and so funny. I had little to no pain while getting the piercing or while it healed. I even recently came back to Addiction so he could change my stud out for a hoop. I had zero pain during this process and he has ensured if I ever need it changed or bent to come in and he will take care of it. I even stayed after and talked tattoos with him and I'm strongly considering getting my next piece through them. If you want to go to a shop that guarantees you're leaving with exactly what you want and makes sure you're not afraid to ask questions GO HERE. I came in today to get my nose pierced and the guy was super ​nice and made it really clear that I could come by any time if I had issues with the piercing. The place was very sanitary and the piercer cleaned all the tools before using them on me. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I was so so satisfied with my experience at Addiction. I actually went in because I had my nose pierced at a different shop and it was terribly painful, getting infected, and the nose ring came out. So, I found out about Addiction and spoke to John on the phone before going in. He was nothing but helpful and informative. When I got there, John helped me right away, and was able to clean out most of the infection, re-pierce my nose, and give me proper follow up instructions in a matter of 20 minutes, unlike the other place I visited. It was quick and painless and very very inexpensive for the service I was given. The whole thing costed me $10 because all I needed to do was purchase a new ring. He also custom bends all nose rings so they are very, very easy to put back in in the case it comes out. Everyone was nice and I had a great experience. Highly recommend. read more

As far as tattoos go, I have never gotten one at body tech nor do I know anyone that has. However, when talking about piercings, I was always told to go to Body Tech. Since this was Sunday night and they closed at 7:00, we went down the street to Addiction. The atmosphere in there is definitely not professional, nor organized. My friend and I were second guessing our last minute decision, but idiot us, if we weren't going to do the piercing right then and there, we weren't going to do it at all. I decided to get my nose pierced. It only cost me $25, which was cool, but the pain I enthralled was terrible. As my friend recorded my yelling and crying, my piercer went to explain that I moved while he was piercing my nose and had to re-pierce it all over again! You can see in the video that I was frozen solid in pain and most certainly didn't move. My friend who is much more better with pain than I am got her double helix pierced and most definitely didn't move a muscle. Somehow, he ended up having to pierce hers twice as well. Not only that, but our piercing locations were NOT wiped off or cleaned first with any kind of solution. Aside from that, our piercer was super nice! We most likely won't be returning. read more
