I have been getting my eyebrows done at Anastasia Brow Bar for about 4 years. Over a year ago I went to the Brea location and on a chance met Cassandra. She did such an incredible job on my eyebrows. I started going to see her from Irvine. There was an Anastasia Brow Bar literally across the street at the Spectrum, but it was Miss and hit at that location. I recently moved to Costa Mesa, and Fashion Island is 3 miles from my home, but I drive to see her in Brea still. Let me start from the very beginning, i had been getting my brows threaded for years, till one day they really really really f'd them up... i left the threading place crying. I let my brows grow out for 5 months then went to my friends wax lady in DTLA... it was a drive, but worth it... i had to plan my day around my appointment, she eventually moved and I couldn't commit to the drive of her new location. They say Eyebrows are the picture frame to the face and that's why NO ONE touches my brows but Anastasia's. I have been to MANY of the "popular" threading studios or European brow studios and they always seem to try and take off too much hair despite my direction. I see Marci at the studio located inside of Nordstromfor service and my brows are always perfectly sculpted and nice and full in 30 minutes for about $36 total. I hate to have to do this especially at a brand which I use and LOVE their products but..... I was VERY disappointed with my eyebrows after I had them waxed. First off, I had an appointment which I came in right on time, unfortunately I wasn't really greeted with friendliness vibe. I had to be the one to say "hi" first when I came in. All the worker said was, "do you have an appointment?" not even a HI, or anything. Her face wasn't smiling either. She just had a blank straight face. I came to find out that her other morning appointments did a no show which is why she was probably mad. Her name is Alicia or something.. anyway not really friendly at all. Anyway that wasn't what bothered me. what had bothered me was that she didn't even ask me anything about my brow shape etc. I had to be the one to ask her questions. For example, a good customer service and professional would normally ask, "Is this your first time? or Have you heard about our products? or How did you hear about us? etc" right? anyway, I was the one who had to tell and ASK her, "so its my first time and how does this work? etc." Another thing was SHE had to use the stencils in order to shape my brow at first with the WRONG color and stencil. Like come on seriously?? my brows aren't thin or bald, keep in mind, I was waiting for 6 months to grow my brows and my right brow was already naturally beautifully shaped that just needed to get cleaned. So off the bat, as a professional she should've known to use my natural brow arch and not the stencil. Unfortunately because she lined my brows ugly with a color that is not my color, it botched up my brow waxing. Put it this way, I am not a make-up artist or anything, but I do my eyebrows wayyyy better than her. She made my brows look dark, un-natural shaped, looked like a kid lined my eyebrows. Oh i forgot to mention she didn't even ask me what products I use so she can use the same products on me and show me how to use the products so I know I am using it right. Anyway, So the right side of my brow because it was already nicely shaped and growned out she kinda did that good. basically she cleaned it up but again she didn;t line it nice. It looked like a black bushy, round shaped, and you can tell its not my natural shaped brow bone. The left brow is another story, it was totally different from my right brows. I am NOT happy whatsoever. I am so bummed because Marlene she shaped my eyebrows at the same nordstroms before and I absolutey LOVED the way she shapes it. And she recommended I get it done at the salon. I guess I'll have to go elsewhere. Long story short, I will no longer get my eyebrows waxed from here. Was so thrilled to find this place. I have been to Anastasia Beverly Hills and I never knew that Anastasia had locations other than the original. I am just so happy I found this little station hidden in a tiny back corner of the make up section in Nordstroms. The gal that did my eyebrows told me there is an Anastasia in every Nordstroms with the exception of a few. I am very sensitive to the threading and every place I go seems to be taken over by the threading concept. I have tried threading a few times but for me waxing is still the best. When I thread I get bumps and tiny little cuts from the thread. I had my brows done at Anastasia about two weeks ago and they still look great. I will definately be back there again and it doesn't hurt that I can get some shopping done too. read more

The experience was so nice, Marcy was very professional and nice, I will defiantly be returning to her to do my brows. They use a stencil so when you return you always have the same shape which is nice. They're in their own private studio so I felt very comfortable, didn't have people walking by watching. SO IN LOVE WITH MY NEW BROWS! I've been growing them out for a few months now maybe? With future intentions of going to an Anastasia brow artist. I've been threading my brows for years and I was kind of sick of having them threaded so thin so I decided to give this place a shot. I actually really liked it. They have a pretty good technique in terms of what kind of brows are best for your face. First the proper starting and ending points of the brows are marked and then the shape is drawn on using a stencil. Only the extra hairs are then waxed/tweezed. Finally the brows are filled in using the correct color. At 30 bucks this service is definitely more expensive than an 8 dollar thread, however you get so much more. Getting an appt is fairly easy, I'd call ahead instead of walking in just to be sure ur on the books. read more

I see that there are some really terrible experiences here, but I understand, everyone has different experiences. However, I'd like to tell you all mine: I loved it! I am one of those people that research and compare places prior to going in as my brows are not my best asset so I want to make sure I am well taken care of. I came in right on time (I'd go 15 mins early to avoid traffic or being late). I was seated right away and the consultation began. Alysia was my brow consultant. She is very well educated in the eyebrow department, she really guided me on how to shape and manage my brows. Mind you, I have really sparce brows, I was a victim of over plucking back in high school -_-. She first handed me a mirror and had me watch her outline the beginning and end point of my brows which to me made sense. Since my brows have been through a lot, I have a lot of growing to do still. She recommended the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow serum and said it works miracles. I know I know, she's just selling me a product. Hello, I have the right to say NO, but I do believe in miracles and trying something once. Plus there's a great return policy haha. Anyways, She then used a stencil to harshly outline my brow and then had me look at it to see where I need to have my hair removed. It all made sense to me so I said "let's do this!". As she finished, I was in loveee with my shape. It's a lot better than it was last year (wish I went to her before my wedding!). I now lightly fill them in and bam! done!
