It was a Sunday and this place was hopping! We were greeted and sat immediately. When you walk in, you see a little gift shop and a bakery display. The decor is wooden, cute, whimsical, and slightly boho. Our server was super sweet and soft spoken - she took our order and our food was ready fairly quickly. The food is delicious!! We started with their soup of the day - a spiced carrot ginger. Yummy - it felt like a warm hug! We got a veggie burger and the turkey pesto. Both were super tasty and made with love. The BEST part... they make their own breads and they offer a GLUTEN FREE rice loaf!!! It is so yummy that we bought a frozen loaf to take home. Thankfully we had a cooler with us and were able to do so. We loved our lunch so much that we decided to stop again on our way home four days later! The middle of the week in Arcadia is a lot more quiet, and our second visit was just as delicious as the first. This time, we had the veggie soup and the same two sandwiches (because they were that good!). We had the veggie burger on GF bread this time so we could share half of each sandwich. They have an interesting story of origin (see their story on the menu paper), and the folks are super sweet and warm people. Nothing fancy but Perfect I ordered the crab cake sandwich and was surprised by how much crab was in it, nice lumps, not just a bunch of filler. In this particular building there are tables separated by glass windows very close to other people dining in. We politely asked to be seated in another booth so we can eat without others in our mouth while eating, waitress said no problem but than set another family next to us even though the restaurant was almost empty. Next waitress came to take out orders and we asked to move again while explaining the qualm. We ordered drinks (asking for closed bottled drinks (root beers) chips and guacamole which came out surprisingly fast but on looking at the glass we noticed bug parts (wings plus more), the bottle were open and the guacamole was old browning like it had been pre made from another table (leftovers), the glasses also had very visible lip prints and dirt around the rim and inner.
