Yesterday, we had the ultimate pleasure of dining and having our food prepared by Chef Max of BROTHERS' FISH HOUSE. Immediately, we received the warmest welcome from Andrea, who we love, and Jess (it was Jess first day). One would not know it, very professional and courteous. I had a special request, for Paella from my husband for Dinner. Paella takes time to prepare and needs to be preordered in advance. As I walk in I placed the order with the Chef. Our ladies came in with great anticipation, many had dine there with us or with their families. Each lady came in with bright smiles, as well greetings for those they know, have met at a previous lunch or met a brand new comer who was thrill to join us. (Mary Ellen) We started with our beverages and appetizers of lobster bisque or seafood soup, salads, fried mushrooms, and array of other delicacies. One of our lady's is celebrating her 80th Birthday, the next day, Nov 13. Dora we raised our glasses, cheered with well wishes and sang Dora, Happy Birthday. Main meals were fish & chips (fish were huge pieces), haddock grilled, blacked or fried with side choices. Delicious crab and seafood cakes, claims, a dish of linguine pasta with clams, muscles, calamari, scallops, and more! Fried Shrimp, Poor Boy Sandwich. Combo dishes of what ever their choice were coconut shrimp & basa your fingers, scallops & filet, etc. Our ladies kept the conversation up during our entire time at Brothers' and there was great rapport, laughs and a happiness of gathering together. As we were finishing our entrees, we invited Chef Max to join us. The ladies, personally wanted to show their gratitude for a wonderful dishes and their dining experience. If you are new to Charlotte Cty., and haven't been to Brothers' you are definitely missing fresh fish & seafood. Take. Look at these delicious dishes and ladies ‼

It's a cute little roadside shack that feels like it used to be someone's house. We went on a Friday night in March, there was a line, but we were seated right away on the outdoor sun deck. Super laid back, a little quirky, and the perfect setting to sit outside and get messy with seafood. Service was great. The staff works as a team and you can tell, everything moved quickly and everyone was helpful. Our main server was especially friendly and made great recommendations. The food is definitely meant for sharing. We split a dozen medium blue crabs, two dozen clams, gumbo, and a stone crab and shrimp special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced for the quality. Nothing felt overpriced. Do not skip the key lime pie. It was the perfect ending. Overall, it's simple, casual, and really well done. I'd absolutely go back.

It's a cute small family owned and quaint place if you're in the mood for fresh seafood. (Most places in Charlotte County have frozen seafood and not fresh-always ask!!!) We were able to get a seat immediately and the wait staff was on top of everything and so friendly. My wife ordered the ceviche which was real good. Only thing to make it a little better would be to add some white fish to the recipe like most places do, but otherwise it was delicious. I had the fresh grill red snapper which was very good as well. Their sheaphead fish soup sample was very tasty, I will order that on next visit. Their coleslaw and corn was made to perfection. My wife is an excellent chef and for us to actually find a local place that was this good, was a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Awesome! We picked up our son from the airport & wound our way to this delightful bar/restaurant…read moreon the water. We waited about an hour on a Friday before spring break because we wanted a dockside seat! Worth it! 4 or 5 different brews on tap.. We sat outside & enjoyed the view--boats, gulls, & fish just steps away. We started with onion rings & fish dip. Both tasty. Hubby & son had the fried shrimp special with one side. Hubby loved his coleslaw (mayo based) & son's rice was a small portion. I had a grouper Rueben--delicious fish but not very ruebenish--no sauerkraut--coleslaw instead. Fries & pickle were crisp. You're supposed to toss your shrimp tails to the gulls! They catch them mid-air! All the staff was friendly & accommodating. A must stop spot!

Regulars pull up their boats to the small floating docks. Others arrive by car and parked in the unpaved lot or on the side of the dirt road. The thatched tiki added to the Old Florida charm. I bellied up to the bar outside. The weather was perfect for it. I started with a half dozen snots on a rock. Plump and slightly briny. A good choice. My single crab cake appetizer was too much cake and not enough crab. The remoulade sauce was unnecessary. I added another starter of their Captains Catch chowder. Had everything they promised but far too starchy.Service was quick from the two barkeeps. The highlight of this place is the journey and destination no matter how you get there. I imagine other items on the menu are deserving of accolades but what I tried just wasn't quite there.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! Shout out to all of the great staff members at Dry Dock -we've never had a bad experience. I love Dry Dock and it will forever stay in my Sarasota rotation.

Everyone -- from the owner to the waitstaff and bartenders -- is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is so welcoming and fun, and you can tell they take pride in making sure guests have a great experience. The drinks are deliciously strong (in the best way!) and crafted perfectly. I ordered Las Tres Marías, which comes with cucumber jalapeño, mango, and blueberry margaritas -- such a great option if you want to sample a variety of their flavors. (SN: Mango wasn't one of the flavors, but a replacement {don't remember what for though}) For dinner, I had the quesabirria, and it was packed with flavor and plenty of meat. The consomé was rich and just as tasty. We also tried their traditional beef burrito, and it did not disappoint. Overall, Azul Tequila is a gem in Arcadia -- great food, great drinks, and even better people. Can't wait to go back!

The chips, salsa, and drinks were solid, and our server was friendly even though they had a lot on their plate with such a large party. That being said, the service ended up really slow and the food just didn't hit the mark. A few dishes came out lukewarm, and unfortunately several people in our group ended up with upset stomachs afterwards. It definitely took away from the overall experience. Not the worst spot, but not one I'd hurry back to either.
