It was the day before Christmas, and all through my house, I couldn't locate cards for my mom, not even an ounce. I knew she was expecting a card so sweet, and probably wouldn't accept a 140 character tweet. So OFF to the Hallmark I flew like a flash, tore open the door and entered with a mad dash. To the cards I took with a wink and a whistle, but could not find one I liked despite all of my hustle. I asked the kind clerks if they could help me (with all of my charm), and despite their own hurry they searched so I'd come to no harm. After minutes and minutes a handful we had, and I assured them with these my mom sure would be glad. So if you must ask, where can I find the right greeting? Good service, nice selection of cards and gifts. As always, Hallmark has good quality.

I rarely come into a card shop...maybe 2-3 times a year. I still get the boxes of Christmas cards to send to friends, and one each for my nieces/nephew. I always dread getting the heavy-duty sales pitch for their program, whatever it is...I just don't visit enough for it to be worth the money. They try hard, but I can't justify it. It always makes me want to say, "Can I please just make my purchase?" The staff were nice, and I was able to find what I needed. read more

I've been frequenting this location as long as it's been open. Always greeted with a smile and a welcome. Customer service has always been above and beyond. This location is recently had a face lift and the store is beautiful, light, open and airy. The variety of products is wonderful. At Christmas it's the only place we shop for our special yearly ornaments for our tree. read more

We called about the availability of an item, provided specifics of the item and were told it was in stock and would be held at the counter with my name. I drove 40 minutes to purchase this item and upon arrival the item being held for me was not the item clearly specified. The item specified was actual out of stock so I wasted time and gas because of the ineptitude and lack of comprehension of the employee who took my call. Will never be back. read more

***Please do not patronize this store*** Your time and money are not appreciated. Here is my account of the last interaction I had at this location. ********************************** I am writing this to tell about my experience at your McKinney Hallmark location this evening. It is a tradition that we let the kids pick out an ornament of their choosing for our Christmas tree. My son is 18 and my daughter is 13. We choose the Hallmark store for the fun and new movie themed ornaments; and to pick out two cards for my husbands' birthday. When we entered the store, we were not greeted, not a huge deal but a little off putting since we were the only customers in the store around 7:30 in the evening. There were two of your store's employees, very much enjoying their in-depth conversation on their co-dependent family members that they did not seem to want to be interrupted. How do you I know this?... well because I tried to ask them where the first Christmas ornaments were and I was unable to get an answer. Once all the ornaments had been found I walked behind your cash wrap to look at the novelty items for Christmas gifts, this is where I was acknowledged with a quip "Are you done yet?" I was taken aback, first that she spoke to me and then her tone. Once I understood what she was saying. I replied, "no not...yet". As I made no gesture of going to check out. She then told me I could unburden my load at the cash wrap. Once I began looking, another person entered into the store and was promptly greeted with a "Welcome to Hallmark" ---- ahhhh, so you do greet. Just not me. Got it. Moving on, my son kept looking at novelty items and then I proceeded to check out. Another unpleasant process, I repeated my phone number four times and my name twice. Once I had completed my transaction, I told my son to wait in the car. Once he left, I advised your two employees that this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Hallmark store. Your employees retort - "I am sorry" (with a not sorry tone) "I thought I greeted you". Well you didn't - not only were we not greeted you did not speak to me or my family the entire visit. I also advised her that I am not sure why she would not greet me but the fact that I spent almost $100 on novelty items in your store should earn at least a little customer service.  All that to say is that, I realize that she did not see an issue as to how she treated me today. The simple fact that I took the time to tell her that her customer service is lacking should have taken one moment of self-reflection to say to herself, you know what, I did not mean to come off that way. Instead she had a terrible attitude. If my kids had not spent so much time picking out their ornaments they would have stayed there at that store with here. I really hope that the next time I enter your store that I will have a better experience. read more

This is my go-to card shop in McKinney. They have the widest selection of cards around and the employees are very willing to help....or to leave you alone to browse if that's what you want. They have intersting gift selections as well, and a wide array of gift-wrapping material. read more

Yea! It's great to have a Hallmark back in McKinney. Stopped in quickly yesterday. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store seems to have everything I'd be looking for: stationery, ornaments, figurines, and their seasonal collection of Hallmark-only items. With a store this close, I may start frequenting Hallmark on a regular basis. read more

I've enjoyed this store in the past but was very upset the way I was treated this evening. While trying to use my Hallmark "gift" coupon , the cashier said she could not accept it since I was purchasing "promotional" items. I wanted some additional clarification since I had used a similar coupon on the same item 2 weeks ago. The manager came out--looking perturbed and "put-out", and went on to explain to me that " at this price, you wouldn't need a coupon"! I didn't ask for her opinion on what constituted an appropriate price for using a coupon. Needless to say, there are so many choices when shopping for gifts--- so lll take my business elsewhere! read more

Absolutely the rudest, most unaccomadating people I've ever met. I drove 30 miles to their store in search of a particular Hallmark collectible ornament. They had one left, which was the display. I asked if I could purchase that one and was told yes, but they couldn't find the box so they refused to sell it to me. I called back later and spoke with the store manager and he told me he would pull it, box it up, and call me the next week when it could actually be sold. I called him the following Monday to make sure it was ready, he put me on hold, then came back and told me it had been stolen, and all they had was the box. Needless to say, my granddaughter will not be getting the ornament she picked out because the manager didn't uphold his end of the bargain. If you need good customer service, this IS NOT the place to go. read more
