This review is reflection on Grey Hound stop. Secondly on the staff of the building. A storm came in and delays happened the first 2 hours I was mesmerized. Gorgeous landmark to relax a bit and nice big clean restrooms. Easy getting in and out especially if you are on wheels . In short if your phone dies you will need an ID or CA ID of course all states accept or will not board. if you do not have your ID and your phone is not you will not board. After 5 hours of waiting this where it got suspenseful my phone was dying. Make notes the entire train station including restrooms. DOES NOT HAVE ANY FORM OF CHARGING YOUR PHONE. THEN NO ONE GIVES A DAMN. As in no customer service. I can write about the tone I got for asking for help to charge my phone? I asked for help with two men denying me to charge my phone. Deep sigh because that's sad. How we collectively are disconnected as human empathy goes. So write notes specially if this going tobe a pit stop. Bring your extra chargers as to keep your or be able to your phone. The snack shop or not one vender or coffee or no Cafe. The some few snacks but not really much. This could of gotten really bad for me when the second Grey never made it. But I got lucky I had some $$ to get out on lyft. But make notes if you have no id you can not board with your QR code on your phone. Just do yourself a favor have it ready to be scanned. Or print it out. Or all the above. To best CYA (cover your Ass) As of October 2024 you are required especially in person to show id to purchase tickets. Not so on your phone application or kiosk. So its smoother if you buy and have everything on your phone app. But in case phone dies then you have a print out. Then you will need an ID even if they look you up. Im not sure if I will come back to visit the museum next door. Perhaps one day but in short its not designed or set up for customer service. Its just a ride and thats it. Additionally the building its self is absolutely gorgeous. How ever its really stripped and its not cosie or not loved. Im not sure how to point the finger of what i found wrong or missing. Like a thing of the passed? As the entire conceptof a trainstation? Some of its views are mesmerizing. You can view others pictures i do not need to say more. The pictures are captivating. Perhaps what im trying to say just be ready or have a backup plan if you have delays. The day I traveled waa yesterday in a Monday and poured like cats and dogs. Ps i brought my lunch and my soda pop. So plan on bringing snacks. Most importantly plan making sure your phone will not die and you have no ID. Or make sure u do come with ID. Just safe travels. To those that care and work for this establishment or institution. Why no customer service? Is the system that broken? That I'm told "Those are the Rules" of "no charging or letting you help with the electricity, of a charging of one phone? Just saying you are not having a nice attitude. What ever happened for customer service? Another lastly side bird note if you walk around nowhere you will find an out let to charge. Maybe bring a laptop or extra battery to keep you afloat while you are stuck in a delay. But clearly every single outlet was removed or sealed shut. Lots of lights everywhere security is present at all times on high alert. Yeah yeah but they are rude and fast to use harsh tones and firm. No smiles just look at you like your stupid. Parking lot has a lot of lights and grey hound buses come in stop near the bridge. Ok I think I made my point but do not expect much guidance either my best advice. Check out YouTube does and don't. In conclusion this stop does not offer any to non customer service. Shameful because I saw many confused people. Then to my dismay I received an email at 3:30 something AM?? That my last bus was pushed till 5:45 AM.? So imagine that your phone dies and how will you access to your email? So I wrote this long winded review really more to bring awareness and in hope to safe someone alot of grief. I made it ok but I learned some lessons stopping at this old unloved train station. To be continued. Be safe.

First time and it was a little intimidating. I like to know what to do and how to get about with it. Picture me, someone who has never been inside trying to find their way around dragging a suitcase.... lol... I had a connection coming from Palm Springs which lead me to here. It's quite big and the whole Amtrak, Surfliner to metro was a learner for me. First off, I never knew that you could actually take public transportation from the city to the desert. I had a connection ended at Union which was pretty easy to get around. It's a pretty big station but plenty of signs to get you where you need to be. Plus with the metro, it's pretty self explanatory with the colors for the train. There's construction going on in the tunnel which wasn't much of a factor as we got to where we needed to be. Also, I didn't expect loads of food stalls available. I guess you have to feed people while they're waiting. I believe the main tunnel area was where all the trains, ie Amtrak and Surfliners come in while the another is where all the Metros are. There was plenty of staff on hand with questions if needed. I did both arrival and departure on the same day to test out the whole process. It was quite simple. Even if you arrive early, your train can already be docked and waiting till departure. Make sure to look on the board for which gate you suppose to be at. It's a big station but pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

Parking is affordable, but can get fisted and it's nice that they have the free Dodger Express Shuttle. But the restrooms are abysmal, especially for the women's restroom and the men's isn't any cleaner (according to friends' first hand accounts) and there's always litter somewhere and the subtle scent of human waste, but that's the DTLA experience if anything. That's why when I was told we were going to go to Union Station for dinner (when I was in Denver), I was aghast. Completely different expectations and execution. Union Station does its job, could always be a bit better, it's just that society needs to get to that point and we need to be a bit less of a car driven (haha) ecosystem where public transit is more friendlier and easier to use.

I once went here on a day trip using the Metrolink train and then used the bus route 553 (which is apparently on weekdays) to go to Disney. I find that the route was fine although there were a lot more stops to the park, and it drops you off 3 blocks away. On a weekend on Sunday, I used the ART route bus 15. I liked this route because it was only 3-4 stops and you're directly dropped off at Disneyland's bus center so it's a shorter walk to the park. I only wish the bus came at its scheduled times or were properly updated on the live route site, so you're stuck waiting longer than expected and you're unsure of when the bus will exactly come. - free parking at the lot, gates open automatically , unless event is happening across the street at Honda center - prepay adult day passes ($6 all day) online and show email to bus driver - very clean and impressively aesthetic transit center, usually empty

Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the bus to/from Disneyland isn't that frequent. If you are Disneyland truly on a barebones budget (I get it!), you park here and just deal with the 30 minute wait times which it has taken me. In my experience it has been much faster getting picked up here than getting dropped off.

The station is located in Tustin but is close to Irvine as it is near the Jamboree area. Parking is easy as there is a large parking garage here. And there are ticket machines here to buy tickets, though you should give yourself enough time to buy it before the train arrives. The train platforms are unmanned. You will want to make sure you are standing on the right platform to ensure you are traveling in the right direction. My trips on Metrolink trains have been comfortable and do not seem to have the shady behavior you would find on city metro trains. The one thing I would like to see Metrolink do is add additional weekend service in the evening as the last train leaving LA Union Station to Orange County is in the afternoon, which is too early.
