The amenities are more than adequate, and the store is nice and clean and has most items in stock. I can't speak for the pool, but the archery was fun, the kids love the jump pad, the bathrooms are very nice and clean. The sites are ample sized with lots of trees, fire pits, and picnic tables. The only reason I'm knocking a star is that there are places they could improve, and the staff could stand to be a little more polite. But overall it's a nice place to stay and I would totally stay there again.

Since returning home, objects have moved on their own, something whispers my name from empty rooms, and every night at precisely 3:17 a.m., I awaken to the sound of spurs dragging slowly down the hallway. No one else can hear them. No one believes me. I haven't slept in days. Calico is absolutely worth visiting, but before you leave, count every member of your party--and make certain you haven't gained another. If you hear footsteps behind you, do not turn around. It already knows where you live.

Wanted to see about taking a glider flight but the company is closed on tuesdays. There's a small restaurant at the glider company. I understand it is good. Didn't go tho. I think it closes at 4:30 pm. A REALLY NICE Walmart is about 4 miles away and the small quaint downtown is on the road to the store. Many restaurants nearby. Tehachapi is beautiful but beware of WIND!!

We are staying here for a month + while we are house hunting in the area. This RV park is so close…read moreto everything! There are only about 20 spaces, and more than half are full time rvers and mobile homers. We are able to walk to the lake, the East marina is right across the street. Within a few minutes drive is all Big Bear has to offer...the slopes, Village, restaurants, and right now...Oktoberfest at the convention center! New owners have been doing a lot of work since they bought it in June 2017. The park is very clean and well cared for by the on-site managers. It has a laundry room, and bathrooms. One shower stall only, but again, it's not crowded here. Each space is paved and relatively level. Sites are spacious, most have trees, and each has a firepit and picnic table. The park is very quiet! There is some road noise from the main street in front, but it's not bad. Lots of blue jays, bunnies, and squirrels for your entertainment! They have daily, weekly, and monthly rates. All sites are full hookups. Cable T.V. is great, and the Wi-Fi has been strong and reliable. We love the privacy, proximity to the bike path and lake, and being able to get to the Village and market in 5 minutes. Very nice, comfortable, safe little RV park.
