This place has really cool retro charm that the typical motel 6 doesn't have and won't break the bank. The room I was in was fully updated, so it was nice. Places at this price point usually have a plastic shower, but this one was nice tile. Dog friendly as well.

Very impressed with this place. Yes, of course you won't know that it's actually nice in the rooms, because it's a motel & it doesn't look appealing from the outside. To be fair, they are under construction. We were actually very lucky with one of the remodeled rooms. I actually felt comfortable. They had a microwave, fridge, flat screen tv & USB outlets on the side tables. Honestly, the "look" of the room was like IKEA. The woman there didn't know much English but was very kind & still was helpful. No problem with her at all. The only thing I didn't like was the sink was way too close to the toilet. Lol Also, the shower was a bit too small for us "big" people. But like I said, very nice look, just a little small. Also, the walls are a little thin. If we ever go to Barstow again, this is definitely the place I would stay at again. Affordable & very decent.

Stayed 2 nights on the weekend. If wondering why I gave it 2 stars (as it might seem like too many after reading the cons), it's because I was there spending time with my boyfriend who lives in Las Vegas currently, and that made up for it being a complete "1" experience/motel. Pros: There with my bf, able to spend time at this sort of halfway point from LA to Vegas. At night, the retro lighting makes for a cute atmosphere as we shared a smoke and chatted outside a couple of times. AC worked. Microwave and fridge worked. TV worked. Toilet worked. Had hot water. Had a good time binge watching a show and having some drinks. The walls seemed thick, I could barely hear anyone next door. Was not a busy weekend, we saw only a few cars in the lot. It felt private. They didn't hound us at 11am to get out, but I had made sure to start loading at exactly 11. Cons: First off, we booked a King room.. when we got there, they said it was unavailable/under construction, and placed us in a Queen room... My bf chose to not confront them about getting a refund for the difference in price. We settled. SMALL flatscreen TV. We never received a WiFi password, so I used my mobile hotspot. Curtains had holes/rips and light bleeds in terribly from the sides when sunlight is present. No window screen, which was also annoying to let bugs in if we wanted fresh air in the room. Cigarette burns on the sink, blanket. Huge holes in the fleece type blanket. We weren't sure if the sheets were clean but they didn't smell and looked to be clean enough to get some sleep on. The sink area and bathroom was pretty run down and nasty looking, old. Found random hairs on surfaces (like come on, you could have made sure to get at least the stray hairs dusted off before putting a new guest in it). There was also a sewer smell when running the sink at times. I bought sani wipes and wiped all surfaces we would be touching during the stay. The shower curtain seemed gross and we took care to not let it touch our bodies. I ofc wore crocs while showering. Overall, a crappy, dingy, little room. Probably one of the worst motel rooms I've ever been in despite the attempt of putting some modern pieces in there. The WORST: It was obviously an unclean, junkie and junky kinda room, but it was all doable for 2 nights at the price point, until.. we saw a ROACH come out from under the microwave. We both were like "unh-unh!" As we had just ate food on the table where the microwave sits. It had gotten away that night, and my bf tried his best to reassure me it wouldn't crawl on me in my sleep! But of course, I was still concerned, kept my belongings zipped up in my bags. Took all precautions to keep areas clean and not leave food out to encourage it to come around again. The next night, we saw it again on the microwave and he killed it. I had already decided we would never stay there again, but the roach sighting sealed the deal! I'll attach photos for visual reference, you be the judge. Photos took at check out but the only difference is the bed not being made and used towels left in a pile.

The upside is the rates are pretty good! I got my room for about $130 booked the day of. The next closest Hilton was $166. I am traveling on business so I was unconcerned with particulars. I gather most people stationed here aren't trying to spend more than a night here. It is basically in the outlet stores. If you love you some outlet shopping then you need to stay here. You are right in it! Again I wasn't there for all that. In fact I was in the the beginning of what would an epic head cold ... I'm talking voice changes and generally not feeling that sick but sounding sick enough to have people recoil when you spoke. They have a pool. I think it looks like the web pics, the breakfast is standard for the hotel brand. Nobody is very out of their way nice or helpful which is ok. It's not like most people aren't the one nighters. Anyway, my only knock is that even on the nicer room (so I'm led to believe) you can hear EVERYTHING. The sound carries . At one point I convinced myself I might be going mad ....sure I could hear folks talking normally and such....But I had AirPods in and faintly heard crying. I'd take them out and listen and try to find where it was coming from to no avail. Over and over, to the point I slept without AirPods on and near the window. Then I HEARD the crying and jumped out of the bed! Only to find that a tomcat (cat was orange and white which is a male 90% of the time, you can look it up) out doing a mating call and just tomcatting around! Outside my window, wanting to break up my family! The audacity! No kitty, you go holler at someone else! Still unlike others I didn't see any roaches or anything dirty. I think they are getting right. IMPORTANT: they have these sharp guards for the mattress that aren't flush with anything and trust and believe SOMETHING will happen to hurt someone's leg. A good slice or chunk WiLL be taken by each bed with this set up. Go on and check yourself.. use a white towel/rag with a bit of water and swipe in the each of these basically Game of Thrones style spikes and I bet someone will come up with blood. Might even be mine cuz I was got! You can slide out of bed and slice some leg off. Minus a star

We were met by a less than welcoming and inattentive desk clerk who had to be told everything twice. They didn't know the readiness of their own hotel. We were put up in a room that wasn't cleaned and made up from the previous occupants. We returned to the desk clerk for a new room only to be put in another room that was fresh out of a construction remodel. When I say fresh I mean barely finished. It smelled heavy of paint. That grout hadn't been sealed. The caulk around the sink hadn't set and rubbed off on my finger. The floor tile still had drywall mud smudges and paint on it. And the blinds were the filthy old ones left over from construction. Spend that much money on construction and don't even have a solid finish inspection! I hope they enjoy the mildew and upcoming mess in the bathroom from deciding to not put in vent fans to clear the steam.

The first time, 2 months ago, the hotel staff were extremely helpful. I would have given them a 5-star review. They allowed me to pay for the room over the phone by credit card and let her check in with her pet even though she has a different last name than me. The process was smooth as can be. She checked in early, around 11 or 12 am and was able to rest immediately. The room was huge, clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating and late check out was no problem at all. The room was very price friendly. Because of this experience, I joined the loyalty program and have stayed at several in other cities (not as nice as this one). THIS TIME, my daughter had the same medical need to rest and because of the original experience I immediately chose the same hotel. It was the complete opposite experience with the staff. The front desk would not allow her to check in early. He would not allow her to wait for the fist room available by sitting at the pool. He would not allow her to sit in the lobby. He harassed her every step of the way while she was going through a medical emergency. She was crying and he did not care and proceeded to tell her she had to leave. We called repeatedly asking if we could pay extra for early check in and asked can she sit outside by the pool until a room came available. No. He gave us so much trouble about paying over the phone. Made us jump through so many hoops with credit card authorization forms over email and then nit-picked every check box on the form causing more stress and emails and phone calls. After 3.5 hours, she was able to get into a room around 1pm. Our family travels 247 and because of the original experience, they had me as a customer for life which is hard to get out of me. After this last experience, I am considering spending my money elsewhere. All that stress in an already stressful medical situation was unacceptable. We did not get the clerks name but my receipt says "checked in by 'gm'" at 11:26 am, on 3/12/26. That is not the time she got a room.

With a small kitchen type counter with a sink where the coffee maker was. Large bathroom with shampoo, soap and conditioner. Free breakfast starts at 6am. There is a small "store" by the front desk for snacks. The room are not very sound proof, we could hear I15 noise, along with the room above us walking around. Other than that, the beds are comfy, the staff is great... a good Best Western while traveling.

It's best keeping the door closed, anyway, so we didn't have to listen to jets flying all the time. I realized, the light in the bathroom are sensor, and after a long while, it goes off by itself. But, the fan still goes on and on and on . . . .so annoying! It's otherwise, clean, fast elevator, larger fridge, no freezer though. There's no light on the table where I am now. You can also hear the freeway, even though we've stayed in many BW, they're quieter than this. We did got 2 bottled water. The bacon in the dining room was thin, and it's the best I've had. I went back for seconds. They have cut mini waffles. I love those too. Have you tried yogurt on your waffles? Yum!
