I haven't been here in a while. This place is ABSOLUTE Trash!…read more If you get dropped off "behind" the station, just know it's ALL UNDER construction. I had to walk the "walkway bridge" to get to the station. The elevator was out of service. There was only 1 escalator that went up. So, if you are disabled, you can't get down into the station from the walkway. This place needs a SERIOUS OVERHAUL. Demolish it and start over!! Just like with all of the new build that surrounds this place, and hides how absolute disgusting it is! Seats to wait at, are old. Floors are dirty. Bathroom was ATROCIOUS! Hand dryers are made for little kids, and you will have to bend down low just to use. There was no soap to even use. Only 1 bathroom sink worked. There was about 1 foot left on the toilet paper roll on the stall that I used. Amtrak signs to signify departures/arrival information is up so high, that you can't even see the board fully if you're in the waiting area Also non of the "automated doors" worked. NONE. Cant imagine what this is like for those disabled, in wheelchairs etc. There is still a little cafe inside, and vending machines. Also machines to buy Amtrak, Marc tickets Outside construction is new to the building of the new Purple line. Honestly, I would rather go to BWI or Union station for my Amtrak needs

Pay it no mind and keep pursuing him or keep it moving and live your best life? By the way, the ride was smooth and very relaxing. Thanks Amtrak for getting me home safely.

6:15 PM Hyattsville Crossing heading from Hyattsville to DC Branch Avenue Greenline. This concerns…read moredisruptive teenagers at Hyattsville Station. Several teens were "playing" on the platform and it included repeatedly sitting ALONG THE EDGE OF THE PLATFORM, with legs dangling over the tracks, as if sitting at the pier. This was during rush hour, and a train was coming in 3 minutes, but the teens were oblivious. There was a security guard in a black-vest with a phone/radio walkie talkie nearby watching them but doing NOTHING. He was dressed all in black, with a black cap that said WMATA. Because he was not at all friendly, I wasn't sure he was with WMATA. After I pointed out the teens who were less than twenty feet away, he made a call to the station manager but otherwise did NOTHING. As the train was approaching, I yelled at the teens to clear out, they were endangering themselves and the rest of us. They laughingly backed away. The black teens then boarded the car behind me, the model cars were the newest (bright shiny silver), but I could see the teens still playing around in the car behind me. There were no security walking the train. These were the kind of teens that DC adults always "DOTE ON" meaning they just let them do anything they want, run around inside the train cars from car-to-car. They let them litter and harass customers. The teens are also loud and creating a "FUN SCENE." Imagine that if this were any other ethnic group---or rather don't. Having ridden various subway trains, including BART in San Francisco, and SEPTA in Philadelphia, I am disappointed in how and why the teens continually get away with this in DC region. They lack afternoon Physical Education programs at their charter schools. They are not encouraged in civics or ways to exercise. Further, the security on WMATA are also routinely disappointing. Once every few months, I run into this sort of problem where the WMATA security is so unfriendly, so difficult to approach, that they are trying to create a problem with the person who points out an issue, and victimize the victim or shame the victim. I don't suppose you ever got rid of that security guard who was outright trying to stand right next to me on a car with nobody else on it, and fingering his gun. That's the type of people you hire? Like Re-Entry type men? I have hardly ever seen any other security personnel except African-American hires, so I am just describing what I see.

I called him and he had no explanation except "Call Uber". BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. I was unable to cancel the ride for another because your app thought my ride was "in progres" AND it wouldn't let me log in to make a phone call through the app or get help. Over and over again for an hour I tried to get help from Uber and couldn't reach a SINGLE PERSON. When I finally did--all they could do was charge me $30 for the trip you forced me to cancel THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE WHEN I ARRIVED and then charge me $78 for a new ride--$30 MORE THAN THE RIDE I HAD SCHEDULED. I've now paid $100 to wait an hour to get home when I should've paid $40 to not have to wait at all. They stole money from me, failed to help me when they left me stranded at the airport, finally *did* connect me with an agent only to charge me more than double for all the difficulty, and then made it impossibly difficult to even ASK for a refund--because there's no phone service for customer support. Just their circular AI and a series of multiple choice options THAT DO NOT COVER ALL POSSIBLE PROBLEMS. They're obviously trying very hard to take ZERO responsibility for your failures. So please know that I will NEVER use UBER again. I'm so done with them that I'm copy-pasting this review anywhere else that I can and giving them as many 1-star ratings as humanly possible.

A few Uber options are as follows: Uberx is the basic: warning though you might end up in a hoopty. Cracked windshields or a car thats been keyed by a jealous ex. UberBlack -luxury car UberSUV for a large party. UberXl is a step up from basic. I used this one recently. I rode in a nice Dodge Durango at a pool rate. So from Union Station to my destination. However because it was pooled, I was last to go home #sadface. This guy drove slow and I mean slow! However now there are better options now, for us ladies to ride safer. Ladies you can request a female driver now!! I only had one bad experience with Uber but that was a very long time ago. I like this that i can request a female driver and feel safer. If your going home from the airport, make sure you have both apps open and plug in your destination. They prices vary. So from Dulles to home is about 25 miles my ride was only $30. Lyft was me charging $73. Also refresh your app. The rates change. So when its in high demand . The prices go up. Wait a little and see that the prices will drop. Also doing UberShare helps save . I never have to share a ride I also have UberOne which saves me money but im under a promotion period for 30 days.
