Life Storage was acquired by Extra Space Storage shortly thereafter and they immediately tried to raise the monthly rental rate over $30/month. I complained and the rate was increased by $8.68/month through 2023. In January 2024 the rate was increased an additional $10/month to $248.68/month. No advance notification or information was provided regarding this increase. In July 2024 Extra Space Storage increased the monthly rate $40 to a new monthly rate of $285.35. Once again, no prior notification or information on the increase was provided. Why has the monthly rental increased over $50/month in less than one year. I will be relocating my belongings from Extra Space Storage ASAP. Do not use this company for your storage needs, either short or long term.
