On the day of the scheduled installation, I was notified they were running late. Because I had another commitment, I had to cancel, and we agreed to reschedule for Saturday. When Saturday arrived, the technician told me he wasn't there to install the unit--he was there to collect a fee that, according to my contract, wasn't due until the installation was completed. That made no sense. I declined to pay early and sent him on his way. Fast forward to this week: after calling on Monday because my air conditioner wasn't working, I had to wait four days for service despite being a membership customer. When they finally arrived, I was charged $350 to replace a part that costs about $21. I was then told I had received several "huge discounts" because I'm supposedly a loyal customer. It certainly didn't feel that way. To be fair, every technician I've dealt with has been courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. My issue isn't with the field technicians--it's with the way the company is managed. The office staff has consistently been unresponsive, dismissive, and unwilling to address legitimate customer concerns. Promises are made but not kept, complaints go unanswered, and customer service appears to be an afterthought. I cannot recommend Michael & Son based on my experiences. There are plenty of HVAC companies that value their customers. Michael & Son either has no idea what's happening with its customer service, or it has decided that maximizing profit is more important than earning long-term customer loyalty. Either way, customers deserve better.

Thea, the owner / service manager, came out to inspect our AC system and immediately noticed something dangerous: the previous installer had set up the outdoor disconnect without a fuse, which is a major safety issue. Because of that, the wiring had burned and nearly made its way into the house. T patiently explained everything to me--what went wrong, why it was dangerous, and what the proper setup should be. He recommended replacing the disconnect with a fused version, and clearly laid out the potential risks and what to expect. When we turned the system back on, we were holding our breath... and to our relief, the 10-year-old compressor kicked on just fine. T could have easily told me I needed a whole new unit, but instead, he was honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I even looked up everything he explained afterward--and it all checked out. By the way, the communication was excellent--I reached out through Yelp and was kept in the loop with email reminders and messaging right through the app. Everything felt smooth and professional from start to finish. In the attached photos, you can see the burnt wiring and connector from before, and the new fused disconnect they installed. The difference is night and day. If you want HVAC work done right, by people who take the time to do things safely and explain them clearly, TC HVAC Services is the team to call. I thought the cost for the service was very fair, and I'm really glad I found them.

Miquel did his inspection and gave me a total quote which included parts, labor & taxes. Clear & transparent on costs which is appreciated. Miquel did the job professionally & quickly, he walked me through the working part to ensure everything was correct. He also ensured that I received the receipt via email before leaving. Miquel also was conscious of cleaning up, and he wore booties over his shoes without being asked. Definitely would recommend Jab & Sons, from scheduling to installation.

A tech came out, looked at the wiring, and proceeded to work on the system down stairs. Apparently it was due to the refrigerant being low. Had no idea, that refrigerant was needed to produce heat.
