I searched Yelp for an electrician to install two separate 20A circuits for my dream garage carpentry/handyman workshop. Carlos Guevara owns Servico Electrico and responded in less than 30 minutes to my quote request. Carlos and his electrician assistant arrive on time and started work immediately. The garage was drywalled so it took some time to get the wiring routed through the jousts - which is what I wanted so that it would look professional and remain safe. Carlos and his electrician assistant did the routing without complaint. After the job was completed, they cleaned up and showed me that the outlets worked/were GFCI protected. Carlos responded to my Yelp request promptly. His communications were superb. I thought that I had a bad breaker, but that was not the case. Carlos had to troubleshoot the main breaker panel, several lighting fixtures (on the ceiling of the garage), and multiple sets of light switches. He found that one of the light switches had a broken wire that had caused all the lights in the garage, laundry room, and family room to be off. Easy fix, but a lot of troubleshooting to get there. This rating has nothing to do with the business itself, I did not hire them. This is based off their response to my request. I called initially and the person who answered (Carlos?) asked me to text him what I needed and he'd get back to me. No problem. Sent him all the information including town where house is located and he gave me a ridiculously high quote. When I asked him why it was so high he said that the house was too far. If the house was too far away, why didn't he just say so instead of quoting me a price he knew was too much. That's bad business in my opinion. read more
