I went for a pedicure. My toes look worse than when l came in. Not sure if the tech was new or what. A man came over and redid my cuticles then turned my feet baxk over to her. Because of all the great reviews, I tried this place out for the first time today. I've been in search of a nail salon since my nail tech stopped doing nails (due to crazy 2020). And this place far exceeded my expectations! First off, the customer service here is top notch. Each of the staff (Lynna, Long, & Sam) took the time to introduce themselves to each customer and were just so friendly! (I haven't had great customer service like that in a while!) Second, the shop is well-maintained, clean, and welcoming. They're following all of the COVID guidelines too. Third, Lynna was my nail tech who did an AMAZING job with my gel mani. She was so detailed and even gave me tips on how I can improve my nail health and heal my dry hands. (I have dry skin from weightlifting chalk and over-washing.) My daughter, mom, and I made a last minute decision to get pedicures together. We called to see if there were openings, same day, and they were booked. However, they called me back shortly after and offered immediate service if we came right away. I suspect they worked through their lunch breaks to accommodate. I went here for the first time and was super disappointed. The gentleman who did my nails, although very nice, was noticeably in a rush. He used a terrible file (which I was told I had to pay for-cheap price but odd) on my nails leaving the ends rugged and torn. I got a gel manicure and the end result was a bit streaky and messy. He got up to do other things multiple times whilst doing my nails. The prices there are pretty low but I'd say you're better off going elsewhere and paying more. DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED HERE. This was my first time visiting this establishment. I went in for an eyebrow waxing. The man stationed closest to cash register leads me waxing room to start the process. He applies the wax under and above my eyebrows( without shaping it up with scissors beforehand). I notice that he leaves the wax under my left eyebrow on a little longer than the other areas, but I pay this no mind. He finishes up and hands me a mirror to ensure that I am satisfied with look. I say yes and we proceed to cash register, when I start to feel a slight burning sensation under my left eyebrow. I pay the gentleman, and also tip him, and walk back to my car. I look in the car mirror and I notice a little chunk is skin missing beneath my left eyebrow! I understand that mistakes happen, but allowing me to pay and TIP YOU without even mentioning the mistake is UNACCEPTABLE. I walked back into the store and mention to him that there is skin missing underneath my eyebrow. He SIGHS and motions for me to come back to the waxing room. I tell him that I do not need him to fix it (as if you could fix a layer of skin being ripped off) and I just want a refund. All he says is a mere "sorry" and refunds my card. This situation was handled pretty poorly and I will not be returning. He should've been transparent about his mistake and offered a complimentary waxing. But when i walked back in, requesting a refund, it seemed as if I was inconveniencing them. Now I have a mark on my face that may scab/scar and who knows how long this will take to heal. I was the one who was inconvenienced. Do not visit this establishment for any sort of waxing if you value the integrity of your skin. read more

Found this place across the street from my neighborhood. What a gem! It was a little confusing to find at first because they are under a new name now (Amour Nails) Apple Maps and Yelp need to get on that name change. Sang has done my nails multiple time now and I leave every time loving them. He takes his time and does them right. He even makes note of what color I use that way if I chip one he knows what color to fix it! I couldn't ask for friendlier service. Everything is super clean and up to covid standards. I feel very safe going in there. They have many colors to choose from including cat eye and mood changing to switch it up every now and then. Check them out you won't be disappointed. read more

Today was my first day here and I loved it. My mom, sister and I came in on a Saturday afternoon. They got really busy FAST, but they were able to take us for mani and pedis. They were so attentive, caring and entertaining. The space is small, but it is clean and has cute decor. I've tried many nail places in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake & I am really considering making this salon my regular place. One thing I probably have to say is I hope they hire more nail techs. I came into the store wanting an acrylic set. Before our session began, I greeted the nail tech. No response. I then asked her if she could replicate a picture I found online. I loved the shape of the nails. She said, "Square or oval." I said, "Coffin please". "Square or oval. No coffin" "Oh okay, Square." She did not use the color I picked out. She also was very rough on my nails. At the end. I was somewhat satisfied. A few more people walked in and she told me to ".... wait few minute. At 4:20 you leave." My brother, Mom and I were planning to get pedicures before we left for our big family trip. After reading reviews and calling around to see if nail salons had any availability, Amour nails was kind enough to squeeze us in this holiday weekend. When we got to our appointment (all of us got there together) the lady had us down for three pedicures and one manicure, which I thought was correct. While my Mom and I were getting our pedicures by the nice gentlemen, my brother sat in the massage chair next to us patiently waiting for his turn. He was excited. I assumed the gentlemen started with my Mom & I first because we were going to take longer and that my brother would've been a bit faster considering he didn't have to wait for polish to dry. 45 minutes pass and he's still just waiting. My Mom was already done with her pedicure and I was already onto the manicure part. It wasn't till I was almost done with my manicure, that the lady that scheduled the appointments told us she didn't realize our third person was a male, I didn't think I had to mention genders or that it would be an issue. But apparently there's a difference and the male services cost more than the normal services. I wish we had known that sooner. She offered to give him a pedicure (as she was in the middle of doing another client) but he had already been waiting awhile and we had somewhere to be. Neat, clean, bright and relaxing!I am new to the salone as I follow my nail tech everywhere she goes since 2010 and she recently relocated to Le Nails which is closer to my home so it was a win win for me!!!! Lynna is the best! Hence the reason I've been with her since 2010! She takes her time with your nails, making sure they are shaped to perfection! I never have to worry about them being too thick, chipping or breaking. They are never oddly shaped and last for a while. I go evey 4 weeks with no issues!
