Cory and his team completed a fairly large job for us. They demo'd and installed new flooring in our family room, 2 bedrooms, laundry room and storage closet. Additionally, they did some drywall repair, baseboards and painting. They also had to re-enforce the subfloor in the 2 bedrooms which they were able to accommodate as a last minute addition. I was referred to Amos Construction by a large publicly traded home improvement store. Turned out they were also within my city. I needed a fire door installed for my garage leading to my house. It was challenging to find someone to come out to give me a quote that was reasonable in price and did good work. It was a challenging job because the door is also custom sized. Amos Construction not only responded same day to provide a quote, they also showed up right on time to complete the install. The quality of the work is great, they cleaned up afterwards and left my place the way it was when they arrived, and all done at an extremely reasonable cost which is nearly impossible to find nowadays in construction. Called about a Father's day project I wanted to get done on my dad's house. He said he could do the job and would get back to me in a day or two about setting up a time to come by for a quote...never heard back, so I emailed more information with photos...didn't hear back for a week and then I get a one sentence email saying he's too busy to take on more work right now. I mean don't get me wrong, I think being too busy is one of those "good problems" that I would never fault someone for...but to string me along for two weeks while I could have been finding someone else to do the job is just not okay in my book. We used Cory - (AmosBuilt) the first time to install a couple of fans then later to remove a huge medicine cabinet and replace it with a mirrored oval cabinet- Great job. We have also called on him to clean our gutters. Now he and his team replaced a bathroom faucet and toilet for us. After finishing the toilet they removed the faucet and started to install the new one they discovered the faucet we bought was defective and could not complete the install. Cory was great and did not leave us hanging with rescheduling. They boxed up the faucet for us to return which we did immediately and Cory sent one of his guys back a little bit later to finish the install. We are very happy with Cory and his team. cory came out to the house to check on a shower leak. very thorough, on time, and knowledgeable. he tested everything and making sure there was no leak. i applied the caulk around the seal of the tub before he came. no more leak after caulk was applied, simple fix. even though he did not perform any work on the house, it was great having him problem solve to make sure no more leaking. he does other work around the house and is a general contractor so i already have him giving me some quotes replacing our stone fireplace with some stone vaneer and patching up some dry wall. thanks cory, hope we do business again. read more

The fact of the matter is that Cory sent three guys to do a job that could have taken 1 guy two hours max to do and billed over $300.00. The toilet was installed improperly and leaked later and caused problems and there are repair receipts to document this. Due to the previous over billing issues I did not trust Cory to come back to resolve the problem. It should have been done properly the first time. I got a licensed qualified plumber to deal with his crew's sub-par workmanship which I was over charged for. Integrity and honesty go a long way. Best contractor around! Cory told us our remodel would take about 2 weeks, and we stressed to him the importance of getting it done smoothly and quickly with 2 little kids in tow. We thought 2 weeks? I have been wanting an exhaust fan installed in my bathroom for as long as I remembered. I don't like having to open up a window after every shower, especially when it's cold. So I finally decided it was time. I got 4 different quotes for this work last week. And, once I want something done, I want it done right away.
