If you want fast delivery and quantity this is the place for you. The regular pie is so overloaded with cheap mozzarella it completely ruins the pizza. My husband really wanted an upside down pie, so he ventured out in the snow to Amore. Unfortunately he didn't realize until he got home that they gave us a regular pie. This pizzeria is ridiculous I've been twice and each time watched the girls behind the counter grab my slices and throw them in the over with no gloves, no napkins, no spatula nothing, barehanded with acrylic nails they grab a hold of ur food and if you have a problem with the disgusting behavior they're quick to give you a attitude. The pizza is the best I've had by far. I'm a West Coast guy at heart so I was hoping that when I moved to New York I'd get to taste some of that well hyped New York Pizza. Amore passes the test. Delicious cheese pie and when you add the crushed pepper and Parmesan it's fantastic. I also highly recommend getting the Marinara Sauce. As someone who has never been too big on Marinara Sauce I'd say they've prepared it superbly. It goes great when you're dipping the garlic knots (only $1.50 for 6). Staff is friendly, prices are great across the board, it's surely some of the better pizza outside of NYC. read more

I must start by saying that I used to order from this restaurant AT LEAST once a week. However, in these past few months the service has declined so severely that I am thoroughly disgusted. Like an abusive relationship, I keep coming back for more in hopes that something has changed, or maybe my previous issue was a fluke and it wont happen again. I am an understanding person, but my disgust at this moment is unfathomable. The girl that took my order was pleasant, however she messed up my order after I asked her to read it back me. I had to initiate the read-back technique after she messed up my order the last time I ordered. Unfortunately, it still did not help. Now, the reason for my utter disgust is the delivery guy. I have NEVER encountered such a rude, lazy and unkempt individual in my entire life. Mind you, I work in customer service. He first called saying he arrived with the food. I asked him where he was, and his response was "by the door." I asked him which door and what parking lot, being that the building I am currently working in is quite large. He did not answer me. I again asked where he was and he let out an audible grunt before again stating he was in the parking lot. I asked him what was around him, trying to pull out any detail as to where he was located because again, the building that I work in is quite large. Despite my precise instructions, it was evident that he was not where I requested him to be. At this point, I told him I would go to the main entrance to which he stated "k. that's where I am now." On that note, I took the hike to the main lobby, and what do I find? Nothing. Nobody. No food. No people. So I called the restaurant inquiring where the driver was. Their reply was "do you have caller ID? Did you get his number?" Excuse me? No, I did not get his number and I am no longer where I requested my order to be delivered to because I was instructed to go to the main lobby. After finally getting a hold of the delivery guy again, I asked him where he was because he was not in the lobby. He said he was in the parking lot and asked me to find him in the parking lot. My response: "No. Do you see how many cars are in the parking lot? I am not going to go knocking on every car window asking if they have my food." After another audible grunt, the deliver guy said "so I have to come inside?" I'll leave the rest of the conversation to your imagination. When I finally spotted the delivery guy, he was sporting a shirt with Amore plastered on the front and was empty handed. "Where's my food?" I thought to myself. He left it in the car. He escorted me to his vehicle and we made the transaction on the trunk of his car. Upon opening the lid to the food that has already raised my blood pressure, I noticed a hair. Quite frankly, it was most likely one of the nostril hairs from the delivery guy. This restaurant has officially lost my service. Once a loyal customer, I am now an upset, disgruntled woman who can't even sit here and enjoy my meal. read more

Sucks that there are not many Pizza delivery options in the area. They downgraded on the quality of the ingredients in every aspect. & Raised the prices. The Chicken noodle soup is canned low quality minestrone. The Lentil is canned Progresso. The breading on the Chicken fingers & onion rings used to be good, But not anymore. The Blue cheese dressing is pure Mayonnaise mixed with blue cheese chunks. The mussels have like a neon green coating, looks contaminated & The Pizza is Heavy thick globs of cheese on floppy wet dough. When you say extra cheese, they mean it! Their pies can be dense because they don't go chintzy on the toppings. If you want something thinner, that might not work for you, but if you're really hungry and want something substantial, this is the place to go. I no longer live in Bay Shore, but I do make the trip get one of their extra large pies every so often and the quality hasn't changed in 15 years. The heavy handed pizzas make the trip worth it. They also have some other stuff that is decent, though I stick to their pies for the most part. Price? Not too bad - just about middle of the road. I will say the parking kind of sucks though. I called in an order for 4 pies of pizza and other items...i was given such an attitude from the owner named richie..this is not the first time i was treated like garbage by the owner...i asked him several times to stop yelling at me and he kept yelling...when he finally stopped yelling at me i asked him if he wanted my $100 order and his reply to me was that i was being obnoxious and he didn't want my business...i am the customer..i feel if you want customers and want to stay in business you need to speak to your customers in a respectful kind way...i will never order from them again...good luck staying in business. read more

The pizza here was disgusting. When I went here, a man had fallen outside, and there was a paramedic there to help him. He identified himself as a paramedic, but the owner of the pizzeria decided to start trying to fight with him! When the ambulance showed up, they told the owner he was in fact a paramedic, then started to try to fight them! He almost got arrested by the cop, because he wouldn't listen! They have Thin Blue and Red Line flags hanging outside, but I find that very skeptical, considering he tried fighting EMTs, and wasn't listening to an order from a cop. It's a 7. It's okay pizza. Sauce had a bit of a strange tang to it. Cheese and meatball toppings were fine. Bit doughy, pizza wasn't crisp but a bit chewy. Personally I liked that. The recipe hasn't changed in a decade. I used to have amore every monday and friday for lunch at St Patrick's school. If your in this part of bay shore it's not a bad option. Ordered delivery from here to my hotel room (in town for work) last week and this week. Chicken alfredo fettuccini last week; seafood combo over linguini this week. I'm not a big review writer but after last week's order I wanted to, but didn't take time to write. But after the seafood combo tonight, I must give this place my review. The entrees were incredibly tasty and the portions were just tremendous in size; had both with a small salad (very fresh) and they give you a small loaf of fresh Italian bread with your meal. Small tub of alfredo last week with chicken in every bite and same small tub of seafood combo this week and just incredible portion; at least 8 beautiful shrimp; plenty of mussels, well over a dozen little neck clams, calamari, etc. could barely find the linguini thru all the seafood!!! Wow, thanks guys awesome!!! $20ish plus tip for the alfredo and salad; $29 with salad for the seafood combo plus tip! Best value and quality combined that I've experienced in a long time!
