Absolutely AMAZING. We had been here before for dinner and chose to have our small family wedding dinner here. Everything was outstanding. The food, ambiance, drinks, were just . . . insane. Baltimore has nothing like this. Gorgeous, elevated, middle eastern style food. The service was impeccable. The management was wonderful to work with. Responsive, supportive, kind, flexible. The wine manager was also fantastic with wonderful recommendations that fit everyone's palate. Truly a special place and a night we'll remember forever! read more

What a special place! The food was wonderful, especially the spreads , soup and mezze. We had the prix fixe menu ( which I think they call the Silk Road), which gave us a chance to taste a wide variety of offerings. Fantastic. Mady was our server and she was outstanding. The staff works as a team- seamlessly- and you feel well taken care of, without anyone looming over the table. It was wonderfully paced, easy elegance. We will absolutely return for another special occasion read more

My friends and I ate at Ammoora last weekend after a recommendation from a friend. We are from out of town but, WOW, we had an incredible experience! The ambience and decorations were impressive but the feel of the restaurant was also very personable. We ate at the bar and had excellent service from our bartender, AJ, as well as all of the staff who were pleasant and helpful in their food and drink recommendations. The food was delicious, served quickly and was visually appealing. I will definitely return on my next visit so that I can try more items. Definitely worth making a reservation! read more

This is by far the best Mediterranean restaurant in the DMV area! The aesthetics/ design is so beautiful. I felt like I was transported to the old town in Damascus/ Syria. The food was to die for! Great customer service; our server went above and beyond to make our experience even more memorable I will definitely be back again! 10 Stars read more

We just ate there. We had terrible service, the mezze dishes were just ok and then we waited an hour for our entree, which was bronzino. It was way overly salted and had died in the pass. Entirely disappointing. And, the "dining room" looks like a cafeteria. read more

The food was outstanding and quick. I ordered the Vegan Menu (Shallot Mujadara) which was delicious. My wife had the short rib and I could hear her moaning over her food. Service was fabulous and the decor was very cool. This is a definite stop if you're looking for somewhere to fine dine near the Inner Harbor. read more

I brought 10 people here for my husband's birthday recently, as we had been talking about going and we were waiting for a special occasion. First off, I made the reservation about a week before and they said that for a party of that size there were some menu restrictions that they would email to me but I never got them. On the day of the reservation they called me to confirm the reservation and told me that there was an $85 minimum per person (not including children) due to the size of our group. Not a huge deal considering the prices here but it would have been nice to know when I called to make the reservation. That being said, the staff was extremely nice and accommodating of our large size and the fact that we had two toddlers with us. Now, onto the restaurant itself. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I unfortunately did not take any pictures, but the decor is truly lovely, not overdone or tacky, but feels like you're somewhere far away! Even the bathroom was beautiful! It was a little cold when we went, but the courtyard area looks like a wonderful place for a drink on a warm afternoon. As for the food, it was really good! Not the best Middle Eastern food that I've had, and fairly expensive, but it was solid. We got a variety of appetizers and between all of us, tried every entree. They were all very good, we especially liked the appetizers. The bottom line is that you come here for the great service and ambiance, the food is secondary. It's in a ritz Carleton, so you know it's going to be expensive. Save it for a special occasion, but it is definitely worth checking out! read more

Beautiful atmosphere, great staff, and the food was great. Definitely glad we went here, and is good for a special occasion dinner. read more

Genuinely the best restaurant I've been to in Baltimore, 10/10 in every single category. It's got such an elegant, classy vibe with stunning decor with Islamic architecture influence, and great service. There were a TON of vegetarian options which was so very appreciated as this isn't very common in Baltimore. In fact, there were so many fantastic vegetarian options that we did our dinner in a tapas style with just a bunch of appetizers and will have to return to try the main dishes. The halloumi cigars and vegetarian stuffed grape leaves were my favorite, but the hummus and Muhammara were excellent as well. Also loved our drink, which was the one with coconut cream - it was both very aesthetic and delicious. We got dessert as well, which was the one with the "cotton candy" - very creative dessert and presentation and tastes great too, with flavors similar to an indian dessert. Highly recommend coming here as a date, with friends, or to celebrate a birthday! read more

We looooooove this place. Waiting for our friends to arrive, we sat at the gorgeous bar and had two fantastic cocktails. This is our new cocktail spot for sure. As for dinner, it was exceptional even though we went within the first month of opening and they ran out of certain dishes. We went with two friends who know this cuisine and what is authentic, and they confirmed it's very good. Every single dish was superb. The tabbouleh was the most surprising because so many restaurants do it, but theirs was the freshest I've had. Dessert is fantastic too. The owner was kind and generous and offered us a nightcap of Turkish tea as we left. The place is also beautiful and calm/serene and they have a beautiful courtyard for outdoor gatherings. Cannot recommend enough! read more

I was recommended to swing by from a coworker and I HIGHLY recommend going. They have a happy hour at the bar daily from 5-7 with some delicious drinks and bites. The hummus is delicious, but the Mousakhan chicken rolls are spectacular. The waves of Latakia 10/10. The flower added a beautiful complexity on the nose when sipping to change the flavor. read more

The food was great and the service was excellent. Coming back soon. Let's not even talk about the decor.... So beautiful my God. Love it

Amazing experience! The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful, the food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend the Burrata and the Muhammara, those dishes alone are worth the trip. We had the lovely Rosa as our server, she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The manager was very kind and helpful and stopped by our table multiple times to check in, help us with menu selections, gave us a mini history lesson about some of the food which I personally LOVED, and even treated us to a little champagne toast on the house. The entire staff was very perceptive, our waters were never more than half empty and there was always someone close by in case we needed anything. I personally am a fairly low maintenance diner but as someone who also works in the restaurant industry I can confidently say this is one of the nicest establishments I have visited with some of the best staff I have ever seen. I will definitely be back soon. read more

We had a wonderful meal. The service was great. The setting is beautiful. The chicken rolls were the best- definitely order those. The saffron rice pudding was a great end to the meal. We will be back next time we have a special occasion to celebrate. read more

There is nothing I can say that truly articulates how wonderful and rare a place like this is. This place is an experience. The ambiance is stellar, the service is impeccable, the cocktails are outstanding, and the food is scrumptious. If you want to treat yourself or someone special this is the place to go. First, the service is stellar. They make you feel like you are the only people in the room and do so without being overbearing or making you feel uncomfortable. They serve you with a smile and clearly take pride in their art. The ambiance can't be beat. The furnishings, the decor, and even the architectural design of the interior is stunning. The cocktails are inventive and beautiful. Everything about this place was designed and executed with intention. I visited there for the first time 10 days ago and have thought about this place every day since. All I can say is go. If you go, treat yourself at the bar to a cocktail from Yuseff and AJ. They are true artists and wonderful company. read more

Once in awhile you eat at an extraordinary restaurant. Ammoora check all the feel good of dinning experience. Brilliant design and layout with well designed lighting, the noise level is better than any other restaurant that I visited and the service is very attentive. The Menu, is designed to introduce you to Syrian classical dishes with fusion in modern presentation and taste, make sure you leave room for dessert which were amazing. I'm not a wine drinker but some of the people on my table said the wine selections are exquisite, I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasion or just to be out to a nice restaurant . read more

Amazing food, Chef Dima has a magic touch, I've been eating Levantine food my whole life... eating at Amoora took me on a journey back to one of the best restaurants in Damascus. The food is authentic, flavorful and elevated. Loved the decor and the ambiance. Can't wait to go back to my new favorite restaurant! read more

Dined at Ammoora's last night for my birthday dinner with my husband and 2 close friends and the meal and service was excellent. Started with the Baba Ghanouj, Mousaukan Chicken Rolls ( so good we order a 2nd dish) and Knafeh Shrimp, All the Mezze were outstanding and full of very unique spices and flavors. For the main course we order Lobster in tarragon sause, roasted short rib and braised lamb shank and by far the highlight was the Braised Lamb Shank!! I'm not a fan of lamb but this honestly was the most tender flavorful lamb I have ever tasted and everyone at the table agreed. It was an awesome dinner and experience and will definitely return. The only issue I had through the lovely dining experience is that the waiter never refilled our wine glasses and I had to it myself for the table. I know that is petty but fine dining you should not fill the glasses around the table yourself. If you are looking for a unique experience with top quality food and service make a reservation at Ammoora. read more

Must try! The place is absolutely beautiful, you almost feel like you are in a different country when dining there. The food is amazing and service was as well! Very authentic food and the price for what you are getting is great! The drinks were amazing as well, we went for the espresso martinis which have Arabic coffee in them. The cotton candy desert was fabulous. I highly recommend this place, wish I could give it higher then 5 stars becuase there are not too many places that check every box and this place does! After dinner on our way to get our car from valet we met the owner J. Extremely nice guy, offered us a drink and coffee before we left but we had to get to a play so couldn't take him up on the offer. But he told us about his vision and design and we will definitely be going back and hopefully can take him up on the offer and here more about his vision for the restaurant. Don't settle for the normal Baltimore staple restaurants! This is THE PLACE to go and you won't be disappointed! read more

This was a dining experience! From the moment you walk in, you will feel like you are in a different world. When you walk in, you are greeted by the hostess and a well stocked bar. Going through the arches of the walkway, you enter a well lit, cozy dining room that is not too big nor too small. There is enough room so that you don't feel like you are going to rub elbows with the table next to you. The staff is well trained and are able to give excellent recommendations for each course. Tonight we had the salmon special. I hope they make this part of the regular menu. The original salmon dish is excellent, but the salmon with red sauce that has a hint of heat makes this dish stand out from rest of the good salmon dishes. Being more familiar with California and Italian wines, I always have to ask our server for pairing recommendations. The white wine went perfectly with our main course. To top off the experience, dessert is a must! However, don't forget to pick up a box of their Syrian baklava on your way out. read more

This place is incredible. The space is gorgeous with beautiful details that are very authentic. A wonderful evening! A multitude of small cold and hot plates, each amazing and each different. The Muhamara is not to be missed! Ditto Kebbet Karaz! We spent 3 hours eating! We decided to try this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. Initially I was extremely impressed by this restaurant. It's breathtakingly beautiful. I mean truly gorgeous. I was very excited to try the menu as well because everything sounded delicious. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very pleasant. Inexplicably however we ended up with another young woman as our waitress instead. Huh? Ok no worries she was nice too. Can't recall her name but the service was a tiny bit slow but otherwise ok. Drinks came out. They were great. Interesting twists on classic cocktails. Appetizers came. We ordered several to share and they were great as well. Definitely try the honey burrata! That was amazing. The tabbouleh was disappointing and we didn't eat much because it was literally just a big bowl of parsley and a smidge of tomato. Not at all like I've had before. The let down of the evening was the entrees. They sounded amazing but when they arrived they turned out to be anything but amazing. They were ridiculously, embarrassingly small. I ordered a keffta kabob. Think 3 skewers w probably 2.5 ounces of meat in total with one skewer of onion and green pepper. All of the skewers were probably 4 inches in length. Definitely not entree size. This would be more appropriate for an appetizer. No rice (which actually would have made up for the lack of actual meat). My entree was 42 dollars! I've had MUCH better kabobs at a few of the local Persian restaurants for less than 20 dollars. I was not expecting an entree the size of a Cheesecake Factory meal but at 42 dollars I expected an actual meal. I would go here for a drink and maybe an appetizer but NEVER EVER AGAIN for an actual meal. I understand this place is Syrian but again the local Persian places all serve similar food at a very fair price. read more

Tabouli was excellent, simple and perfectly seasoned. Hollumi cigar dish excellent. Salmon kibbeh quite nice. Eggplant flatbread with very tart pomegranate sauce and grape leaf rolls seemed less successful. Short rib main dish was delicious. Chicken kebab main a solid dish. Both mains were pricey. Lemon curd desert was excellent. Service was good. Owner stopped by several times. The physical space is attractive. Noise level low enough to have a good conversation. Valet parking available for $13. read more

WOW ! This place is incredible and is on par with any top international restaurant in the US where we have dined during the past year. The restaurant is located in the private residences of the Ritz Carlton property at the inner harbor. First impressions are made with the courteous and thoughtful valet parking staff. The valet informed us that the parked cars are stored in the Ritz Carlton Private underground garage which is a plus to me since I am always reluctant to park my car on the street (unless absolutely necessary). The entry decor and bar area are absolutely beautiful with authentic inlaid furniture and stone work. The bar and lounge area are nice but when you stroll past the open kitchen and lighted archways the real surprise awaits you. You are transported into a magnificent two story main dining room with a authentic murals, an indoor fountain and a view of their intimate authentic Syrian patio. The weather was not conducive for outdoor dining when we visited but we are anxious to eat outdoors on our next visit. The food choices hit all of the right areas for our group of 6 since we had a vegetarian, seafood lover and 4 meat lovers in our party. Everyone loved their meals and we did a lot of sharing at the table. The crafted cocktail menu inspired us to go outside of our comfort zone ( which was worth it !). They have a sommelier on staff but we opted for cocktails on this visit. Our server was great and we were surprised by the level of attention we received from her on a busy Saturday night since other places in Baltimore seem to be struggling to find and train their staff. Pricing was in line with other fine dining restaurants in the city and lower than New York or San Francisco. Ammoora will definitely be our new special occasion/celebration spot ! read more

A combination of luxurious yet historic blend ambiance, and authentic delicious food. The minute you walk into the restaurant on the red carp et, your mind is put at a relaxed ease mode, welcomed by the warmth of the front staff, pampered by the excellent service team (including the owner ensuring fully great experience) and treated with the most delicious and generous wine selection and amazing food options with freshly baked pita. read more

I've been to Amoora several times, and each time my experience is better than the last. The decor is breathtakingly stunning. I've sat in the lounge area, the main dining area, and the outdoor area, which is beautifully modeled after old Syrian architecture. The servers were very welcoming and attentive and were great at giving suggestions. They always made sure we were stocked up on the delicious freshly made pita bread. The appetizers are amazing. My family loves the halloumi cigars, knafeh shrimp, and sujuk rolls. The mfasakh batenjen (eggplant flatbread) was to die for. The Darna spreads were also fantastic and a great way to try a little bit of everything. For entrees, we've tried the short rib freekeh, kebab and shish tawouk skewers, and samke tajen and were pleasantly surprised with how flavorful everything was. We always make sure to leave room for dessert and get the ashta bis asal with delicious arabic cotton candy on top. read more
