I had a great buying experience. I submitted my info on Thursday, got approved on Friday and my wife and I drove out to see them on Saturday morning. After arriving, we talked to our salesman Ramel and he took us out to see the car we were looking at ( Range Rover ). After a test drive and working out the details for the monthly payment, we made the deal and drove off an hour and half later with a new car ( well, new to us ). The vehicle was sold with issues that should have been addressed beforehand, and getting assistance afterward has been frustrating. Communication has been poor, with a lack of responsiveness to service needs, follow-up questions, and even basic status updates. The dealership has been inconsistent in addressing concerns and largely unresponsive to customer needs. Standard updates are not provided. Unable to reach anyone because no one answers their main number and mailbox is full. Summary of Incident On March 17-18, 2026, I contacted AMKO Auto regarding a 2020 Audi Q8 advertised for $17,500. Based on Maryland law, the estimated total cost--including 6% sales tax and the state‑regulated maximum dealer processing fee of $800--should have been approximately $19,350. However, after reading multiple online reviews reporting undisclosed dealer fees, I asked AMKO Auto directly for clarification. They confirmed that they charge a $3,495 "processing fee," an amount far above the legal cap and not disclosed anywhere in their online listings or advertisements. Undisclosed & Improper Fees When asked to explain this fee, the dealership stated the following: The fee includes vehicle delivery, Repairs needed before selling the vehicle, Additional work performed prior to listing, Mandatory warranties and add‑ons, which they claim customers are required to pay for. None of these charges are disclosed on their website, in their advertisements, or during initial communication. When I asked why the fees were hidden, they openly stated that listing the fees would deter customers from purchasing their cars. After adding their undisclosed $3,495 fee, they further stated that tag and title fees (approximately $800) and taxes were not included. This would bring the total cost of the vehicle to nearly $23,000, despite being advertised at $17,500. The dealership is very sketchy. The online listing prices are not true. The $19,000 Tesla's quoted at $23,000 the $13,000 Tesla quoted at 18,000. The prices are all over. They have one of the worst reviews on CarGuru! Just read them before visiting them. None of the cars listed on CarGurus is available, or if they are the prices are $5000-$6000 more. I recently bought a car from this dealership. The car had a service light and I brought it back the next day after purchasing it. Another note is I noticed the AC didn't work and asked for that to be fixed. I noticed it when looking at the engine and pointed this out to the salesman. After bringing it back the next day the manager told me to take it to there Templehills location. The car sat there for almost two months and was never touched. I have asked them countless times to fix the issue on my car and no response from email or calls to the dealership. I bought a car from them years ago and had such a great experience then and the car was great. This time since it looks like he management has changed my experience was rude and just no customer service. Turns out the brake pad sensors had been bypassed, meaning the sensor that tells you when your brake pad is getting low was unplugged. Meaning I would get no warning until I'm metal to metal with no brake pads. Incredibly reckless and dangerous to sell a car in this state. Shame on me for not taking it directly to a mechanic I trust to look it over. That said, the car should have never passed inspection. Which means either: A) they took it to an inspector that was negligent enough to miss a brake sensor bypass during an inspection which is almost impossible. Or; B) they knowingly and fraudulently obtained a passing grade for my car prior to sending it to me. I haven't even mentioned the one tire that had terrible alignment, and the oil/transmission fluid leaks we haven't been able to diagnose yet since I'm waiting for a MD police ASED officer to come inspect the vehicle. *NOTE* the MVA has an active investigation into them as I type this, and not from me. If I could give zero stars that what I would have given... Been waiting 6+ months for my hard tag. No word on when it will be to me. They refused and lied about being able to transfer my tags over to new vehicle.. They sent a worksheet with the price of said vehicle, then during signing changed the amount by adding an additional $700 to final paperwork.... one would assume that was document fees. They did not add trade in to the breakdown on the bill of sales making it look like I just gave them the trade-in. Gave them 4200 down, 600 went to pay off my trade-in...the rest was supposed to be for taxes, tags and registration... They charged an additional $800 document fee after adding the $700 to the cash price. They then charged me triple on lien fees, double title fee, triple registration fee being in Delaware it is only $80 to tag for 2 years, meanwhile they charged over $350. They also violated the law when they told me it was against the law to transfer my tags...even after I just paid to re-sticker them. I have taken all my paperwork and submitted it to the investigators at the department of motor vehicles, lawyers and the financing company being they still have no paperwork on the vehicle I am making payments on. $4200 and nothing came off the price of the vehicle??? Nowhere on online add did it clearly by law state there was additional document fee....which is illegal under Maryland auto sales laws. They know they owe me money but are only trying to offer $140 back... That's not happening, when this company has over charged me by $1000 after paying for the 2 yrs additional warranty and gap... When calling them out they start to ignore and refuse to answer. They changed the Driver ID and Business Id to be able to issue additional temp tags, and being I am not a Maryland Licensed driver the temp registration should NOT have any MD ID. Changing the Business ID to issue extra tags is also Illegal in the State of Maryland. I drove over 2 hours for this car and when we got there they had pulled it in for detailing, never allowing me to drive the vehicle before hand. Upon arriving to look at vehicle they had removed all the lettering on hood that Had Range Rover... When asked about it I was told they would order and ship to me... nothing was ever sent. And online photos show the lettering on vehicle. Never met my salesman who I only know as Mustafa.... what kind of dealership doesn't even have the customer meet the dealer? The first odometer reading they tried to get me to sign was wrong too... Took 4 months for them to pay off my trade in and to this day it is still registered in my name, though they have transferred the title, so even if I wanted to pay out of pocket to transfer my tags I cannot being they are still registered to the old vehicle... Scammers. and Hopefully after the lawyers and the investigators from both the Maryland Motor vehicles and Capital One get some actions done... I inquired about a vehicle for sale. I received multiple text, and emails from Ana. I asked her to confirm the vehicle location, that it was already inspected, cleaned and ready for sale. Anna confirmed everything then made me a 4:30pm appointment for the Temple Hills Location. I drove 30 minutes to the Temple Hills Location, waited another 10 minutes, then found out that the vehicle was at the Laurel location. I then drove 30 minutes back home. This lady wasted 1hr and 10 minutes of my time for a car that I didn't even get to see. From past bad experience I even asked her to make sure the car was at the Temple Hills location and was ready to go. Just straight incompetence and unprofessionalism. Arrived and they had no idea who I was or what car I was looking for, etc. Since I was already there, I went ahead and looked for the car and, would t you know, they had just sold it. Since I was there, I agreed to look at a similar car they had just gotten in. Got the car fax, clean. Well that was good. Then, got my trade in valuation and their price that I had already done with Carla, but they couldn't find... and... wouldn't you know, they had added $3500 in "delivery" fees. And another $500 for a processing fee. My rep, Carla had told me, in writing, that these fees were all supposed to be taken since they were not charging them anymore. My husband took a train up to Maryland so he could drive the car back. But when he got there, at the time he had an appointment for, he was told the car had been sold the night before. What?!?!? I am a hard working mom that works for a non-profit organization that was fortunate enough to purchase a Mercedes C400 on Saturday July 9, 2022. The sales associate was Rafi and the sales manager was Sam Moodi. It was that night after my purchase that I noticed my sunroof was not working properly (was this a manufacturing defect) AMKO AUTO was closed for the weekend, so I dropped my car off on Monday July 11th Once I returned, I was told that their technician would fix my vehicle later that month in which AMKO AUTO admitted full responsibility for repairs. The technician could not fix my vehicle and AMKO AUTO as told to me by Sam Moodi would order my parts. Now this is where the deception begins because Sam and another manager by the name of Moses assured me that the parts were ordered and it's taking awhile for them to receive due to the parts being shipped from Germany. I was told to just be patient and they would call me once received. This turned into me waiting for months and constantly checking in. By the fall of 2022 I arrived at AMKO AUTO LAUREL location with a witness on 2 occasions and we both were told that the parts had arrived at the AMKO AUTO TEMPLE HILLS location. I was told by Moses and Sam that I should speak to the manager Leon Gant to have it repaired at the service location. I took a day off work and drove there only to find out the Leon had no knowledge of the parts or performing the services while another sales associate laughed at me. Leon told me to call him the week after to schedule for the repairs. Well, I tried contacting Leon and he refused to take my calls. At this point I am very upset with the deception and unprofessionalism of AMKO AUTO so I returned to the LAUREL location on February 8, 2023 asking to speak with the owner or GM. I met with Bao Huynh who also reassured me that he would take care of my car, plus provide a free oil change and a detailing. He referred me to the auto shop Paymer Phillips who specializes in fixing sunroofs. On February 22nd I was told that there was a wait on them providing me with a loaner vehicle due to the tags being delayed. I stopped by the dealer several times on my lunch break in the month of March to speak with Bao. I was told to just drop the car off, so they can repair the vehicle and put an end to this issue. Well I had waited long enough for the loaner and I needed my car repaired asap! I dropped my car off April 3, 2023 and missed time from work. Bao told me that his manager approved the estimate on April 7th only to be told by Lori (Paymer Phillips) that AMKO AUTO refused to pay for my car repair. I spoke with Sam and was told that the repair will cost more than what they earned from the commission on my vehicle. That was yet another form of unprofessionalism which has no relevance to resolve my issue. I have yet to hear from the owner KC Abbasi, so I decided to include him and his employees in this email complaint. As a consumer I deserve to receive quality customer service and a quality vehicle that I spent my hard-earned money. I work for the Maryland Food Bank Which Is a highly respected nonprofit organization that serves the community, and I missed time from work just to be mishandled. I will also provide documentation and photos to support my claim on how the timeframe for remediation was extended thus far. I went from summer of 2022 to now spring of 2023 not being able to utilize my sunroof. I did my part as a tax paying citizen and customer. So I called this dealership last Friday at 1:02 PM and made an attempt to put $ down on a car they had for sale as I was unable to get down there until Tuesday and I WANTED the car. I had a twin to it previously, was having sellers remorse for selling it and this car was in better shape with less miles than the one I previously owned. A 'newer employee' said he needed to get his manager to take the payment etc etc. couple minutes later he comes back and says he's going to have to call me back he's busy with customers. I said okay. 3 hours later and no call back from the manager I called them again at 5:42 PM. A different guy tells me that the car is at their other lot and gives me that number to call. I call there and I'm told the car isn't for sale anymore, that the owner of the car lot is driving it around and they aren't selling it anymore. I was dumbfounded but persistent at the same time. I filled out the online form for the Car I was interested in and sent it in anyway. 8am Saturday morning I get a text saying her name is Ana and she'd gladly help me with the car I inquired about. I told her what I had been told and she never mentions a thing about it. We continue to set up an appointment for Tuesday for me to go look at (buy the car) at 1pm Tuesday and tells me there's no need for a deposit today we can just do it all on Tuesday when I get there. 4 hours later I'm super worried about losing the car to someone else and Ana had given me her cell number in case I had any questions between then and Tuesday to feel free and text her. So being worried about losing it I texted and said I'd feel much better giving a deposit today to ensure my purchase cuz I would be driving 7.5 hours from New York on Tuesday and didn't want to drive all the way there and not get the car cuz someone else bought it. 30 minutes go by with no response, when she had been getting right back to me all along. Finally she texts me back and says they just took a deposit for that car and it wasn't available anymore!!!!! I couldn't believe it, I still can't believe it. She asked if I was interested in anything else and I said absolutely NOT!!!!! Not happy about how things happened to say the least and am trying to let everyone know to beware!!!!! I initiated a sale of a car that was said to be in Excellent condition with no problems amd limited warranty on the 1st of February, I paid the $500 deposit on the 3rd, 2 weeks later I was told the bank requested a $2000 down payment, and $1430.00 for the shipping cost. Initially I was told I was approved for the car with no money down and $1200 for shipping. I paid it the day they asked for it on the 14th. I didnt receive the car until March 3rd. The car came with a check engine light on, deep scratches on all 4 rims, the front passenger door wont close all the way, rear bumper has a big dent and crack in it. Drivers arm rest is broken and leather ripped. Deep key mark scratches in the hood and side of car, holes in the rear carpet, leather panel missing from rear center console that they said would be replaced before shipping the car, wrong floor mats, etc. They refuse to speak with me. Always saying they will call me back and handle everything. I have text messages and recorded calls. Plus the bank said that they never requested a $2000 downpayment and for being late on the delivery they said they would pay my first months payment, I still havent received a check. read more

Worst car buying experience ever! Lied to over and over during the sales process as well as being inconvenienced. Failed to get my inspection done in a timely manner, had to rent a car after temp tags expired. After taking my car back to them 3 months after purchase date for inspection, I find that 7 months later from MVA that my car still hasn't been inspected! These are the most scamming, underhanded, unprofessional group of people I've ever come in contact with. The salesman are all creeps and treat you like a piece of meat! Stay Away! read more
