I have bern here more than once. Amigas Cafe has some great food items! The chile relleno taco is amazing. The chile relleno has great flavor. Add in beans and rajas, wrap all of that in a fresh tortilla and the taste is memorable. The rajas, in or on anything is my Amigas go to! I always receive friendly and great service. Lina, the owner, is always friendly and willing to help you make a choice if you are not sure what to order. She makes sure her customers are taken care of! read more

Their butter pancakes are so good! Their service is friendly but sometimes takes awhile for you food but it's worth it.

The food is good- I especially like the chorizo breakfast burrito. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!

This has become our local go to for breakfast or anytime! The food is delicious and the service is great. I prefer to support independent/ small businesses over the chains. I'm happy to support this wonderful cafe. read more

Food was very flavorful. Biscuit and gravy was full of flavor, not like other eatery's which are bland. Chicken fried steak was a good portion and covered with their gravy. Server was polite and quick to take our order. Its location is easy to enter and exit from the parking lot. It has a good size dining area and outdoor seating at a calm location. And the cafe de olla was great and I highly recommend this place. read more

This is a gem with amazing food and service. The owner is so friendly felt I was eating at my Tias house. Pozole is so tasty and meat tender. Chile verde a must! read more

The food is always fresh and made to order. Loved how they had the piloncillo syrup separate so you can add as much or little as you want for their delish cafe de Olla. There was a sign out front that read "best burrito in town" and they weren't kidding! I had the bacon breakfast burrito and I appreciated how they chopped up the bacon and it was in every bite. I didn't just get tortilla on my first or last bite. Come in and let them serve you, I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

food was great, service took long. the staff do need to do a little better on their service. the toast was amazing. heard the guys next to me say the pozole was good. read more

To be fair this is the second time I have been to Amigas cafe. The first time it was an amazing experience the food was Delicious. The eggs and sausage breakfast with potatoes and beans was amazing. The cafe de olla with the pilloncillo sweetener was perfect and I loved the music they played. The woman whom it looked like was the owner was so warm and friendly. Today it was a completely different experience. There was a young lady who lacked customer service skills. I ordered the red chilaquiles that come with beans and potatoes and asked for scrambled eggs. What was brought out was the eggs mixed with the chilaquiles a sloppy mess as soon as she put the plate in front of me and I noticed I asked her are the eggs mixed in she said yes and just walked away. Didn't bother to ask is something wrong? I asked my brother to order me a side of bacon and some tortillas so I could eat something because I was not going to eat the soggy mess on the plate. The young lady brought out the bacon and tortillas and saw the food untouched and still didn't bother to ask if anything was wrong or heaven forbid if they could remake something for me. And she had no problem bringing out the bill and charging me for the plate of uneaten chilaquiles. I had to pay almost $7 for a side of bacon so I could actually eat something. Disappointed because the potatoes they serve are HEAVENLY! I could eat them everyday. I have never had eggs mixed in with the chilaquiles, yes I understand that different regions make their recipes differently, but if you are going to break from the norm maybe let people know. read more

Excellent lunch today at Amigas Cafe! We were super excited to hear that Lina from The Green Chile was opening Amigas Cafe, in the location that was the former home of our beloved Rosarito Taco - one of our long time favorite taco spots in Whittier. Our lunch today was just what we expected - simply excellent! We tried the Mulitas (with Steak), the Quesabirria, a Sope (with Pork Chile Verde), a Steak Taco, and a side of Calabasitas - every dish was super tasty; service was outstanding; and the ambiance is attractive and inviting. Kind of cool to pay the tab from my iPhone with Apple Pay. Bravo! read more

We went for first time today and I got an omelette and my friend got the green chicken enchiladas. Excellent. The service was spot on. My tea was always full! Love that you can sit down and order and aren't rushed. It was clean and not noisy at all. Decorated very cute. Definitely will be going back. read more

We came for breakfast Friday we ordered our food at 12:40 pm our food did not arrive until 1:12 pm and the order was not even complete. We had to leave without eating and take whatever was served to go because the wait was too long. I always like to support small businesses but unfortunately I will not be returning. The owner states that the food was not billed, this was because I cancelled it not because they offered to deduct it which would have been the courteous throng to do! read more

I stopped by today and bought the raja tacos and chili relleno burrito. Both were flavorful and delicious. The new owners are pleasant, and own the green chili restaurant up the street. Ill definitely be back to try other menu items. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like mexican food... Thank you Amigas for the great lunch...Nick..aka Mick :) read more

I ordered the huevos rancheros and I was not impressed. I was served a lot of beans and home potatoes more than anything else. Red and green salsa had no flavor. Food is not authentic if you are looking for this. I've been trying to support the small business in the area and I gave this place a try. read more

It was very good taste but I had Quesadilla, they make it with corn tortilla, very hard to eat, I wouldn't order it again

Very friendly service and the food was really good. Plan on going back to try more. Menudo tasted great and very reasonable price compared to others near by. read more

Found the best Chile Verde that rivals home cooking at Amiga's Mexican restaurant on Whittier Blvd! They start you out with homemade chips and salsa but don't fill up on that because the best is yet to come. The menu offers a wide variety of favorites paired with Latin hospitality that you only get at home. This small, unassuming location offers BIG flavors! We ordered the Chile Verde Burrito, Chile Verde Combo Plate and the grilled Chicken Melt. The Chile Verde was tender, seasoned to perfection and paired perfectly with beans and rice. The French Fries and potatoes had a delicious seasoning that could easily steal the show because they were so good! Crispy and so tasty. The portions are plentiful and the price for this quality food is worth every cent. Seriously some of the best food I've had out in a long time. I would highly recommend this gem and the sister restaurant called The Green Chile also on Whittier Blvd. Same owner, same great quality food. Trust me, you will LOVE both places!!! read more

My wife and I were there a few days ago for the first time. The food was excellent and so was the service. My wife had the chile relleno omelet with potatoes and beans. I had chicken with mole with rice and beans. We ordered homemade corn tortillas with our meal. We took home an order of fideo (Mexican spaghetti soup). I have to admit the mole is tastier than my mom's and her chicken with mole is exceptional. The fideo was delicious. This place definitely is a 5 star plus. This is now our local to go place for Mexican food. read more

I ordered ahead by calling in the girl on the phone was super nice. The food is very delicious I ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce so good. Also a must try is the strawberry horchata you would think it would be an overload of sweetness but its not its a perfect balance. 100% coming back and going to be a regular for my lunch breaks. read more

Just had breakfast and food is legitimately super good. Had a machaca breakfast burrito and shared the chiliquiles. Both were super good! Not greasy and very fresh. The salsa was good and will check them out for dinner/lunch another time! read more

This was our first trip to Amigas Cafe. I got the Cali bowl: a really nice veggie only option. It was so tasty that I would go back just for that! My husband got tacos which he said were very meaty and good. The waitress Candace was very friendly and attentive. Give this place a try ..we need more small businesses . read more

Good food. Nice personnel. Very tasty breakfast menu. Very nice ambiance. Is very popular, so they'll be a wait. But it's worth waiting for.
