This new bakery is good but there are a few hits and a few misses and it is a bit pricy. Very "cozy" so either get there early, be prepared to wait outside (there is an overhang if its raining) or order to go. They make a cappuccino but seeing as how I will never try it, you are on your own. The ham and cheese croissant is extremely tasty, but at 7$ it's more of an indulgence than a regular treat. The lemon iced cupcake with a raspberry filling was decadent and worth the 2.50$ per despite it's petite size. I am not a fan of Blueberry muffins but these were outstanding and I chose them based solely on how they looked. Fresh, with real deal blueberries throughout. The mini eclairs were stale and not very flavorful. I did purchase them at 830am, so my assumption is they were a holdover from the day before but that is not an excuse for subpar eclairs. Stop n shop has offered better eclairs (it was a moment of weakness) but if i'm paying a buck for a pastry smaller than my pinky, it needs to explode with flavor. Butterscotch cookies were ok but not amazing, the linzer tart was almost perfect but a tad too sweet. Call something a tart you need a bit of tart in there. Overall a very nice place but a bit pricy. Osterville is lucky to have Amie's! It's a cosy, French style bakery with fresh, delicious pastries and friendly staff. I go in just about every morning for a caramel latte and Jordan Marsh Blueberry muffin. On weekends they have the most amazing cinnamon buns! Best espresso drinks on the cape, which is a hard find and an easy sell. Worth the trip every time! read more

I'm so disappointed. My family and I loved going here for delicious lattes and house made baked goods, however, our past two visits have resulted in the girls behind the counter wearing masks under their noses, our lattes tasted like dishwater and the mocha had an unidentifiable amount mocha in it and we found a very very long hair baked into our muffin. While we are focused on supporting small businesses during this time, $30 for 3 small drinks and a pastry, that have minimal taste and hair in them, is unacceptable and we can no longer support this business. Went in for a drink and some cookies, the shop itself is right it the heart of Osterville! However it is a bit overpriced for drinks:(, I got a cold brew float. This is just cold brew with a scoop of vanilla ice cream... nothing special. The cookies were average , not too sweet if your looking for something of that sort. My favorite one was the oatmeal sandwich cookie! It had whip cream in between two soft and chewy oatmeal cookies, YUM! While the ham and cheese croissant and large iced coffee I had on my first visit here were delicious, and I would return because of quality of product, I hope the service and menu display can improve. The iced coffee is cold brewed, I learned, so to me it's worth the higher price. The ham on my croissant was thinly sliced and the cheese creamy, and the croissant buttery and flaky. Together these two items ran me $11 and change. There were 4 employees working at the time, late Sunday morning after the holiday, but there was little communication between them. My meal was forgotten and I had to remind them I was waiting for it as people in line were handed their orders first. I don't think they were prepared for or expecting the rush of customers they had, which I understood. A larger, more prominent and comprehensive menu would be an incredible improvement. I believe this is a relatively new establishment, and with time I think it will be excellent. I will return to try more items in the menu, and it's pleasant to spend time in Osterville. read more

We have been there a few times since she opened. I like the decor and the energy. Today Saturday, the floors were filthy, the tall women with the brown hair was bossy and rude. I ordered a glass of wine and she poured a two inch glass of wine which is usually a taste anywhere else. she would not run a tab as I wanted a sandwich and another glass of wine. The janitor came out to clean the tables and used the same rag to clean the garbage can, the door knobs, and the tables. I am a year round resident, live by the beach and brought about seven new customers in the last few weeks. Was not impressed today. Shape up or lose business. read more

Spent $70 on a cake for my daughters fourth birthday. Finding the cake options on the website was so difficult and it was so hard to navigate. Thought it was going to be Nutella (my daughter loveeees Nutella) frosting but it had a whipped tasteless "chocolate" frosting instead. Paid extra for chocolate moose filling and it was very thin layer and tasteless. The vanilla bean cake was stale and crumbled. It's one thing for an adult to not like cake but for my four year old, who will eat anything with chocolate on it, to not like her cake on her birthday says a lot. So disappointed. read more

We ordered a very expensive carrot cake and asked for Cream Cheese icing. My husband brought it home and I took a teaspoon of the icing. Sickly butter cream and zero of that fabulous cheesy icing famous on carrot cake. We returned the cake and were given a mouthful of about how this icing should taste. I stopped into the bakery for lunch yesterday. I had the Caprese Panini which was absolutely delicious. The bread was pressed to perfection, leaving the inside nice and soft and warm. The sandwich also came with some mixed greens and a homemade dressing which was a nice surprise I wasn't expecting. For dessert I had the double chocolate chip cookie which in my opinion, is life-changing. I think it might be the best cookie I've ever had. Also, it is a beautiful place and has a very nice staff. Our breakfast sandwiches were incredible and cold brew, perfect! The "McAmie"- sausage, egg, and cheese on a cheddar biscuit and bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant were fresh (you can tell they are using quality ingredients) and left us excited to return for another. The cold brew came recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Some comment on the prices but we thought they were VERY reasonable given the quality, variety, and location. Such a good cute bakery! We stopped in for a quick bite and coffee - it was a little chaotic in there but the coffee was delicious and the the quiche was delicious! I really wanted to like this place. I had chocolate crinkle cookies, but they had the texture and moisture you would expect of cookies made during the Reagan administration. If you know its old, dont just put it out thinking "whatever." You may be good at what you do, but you cant get away with that in this day and age. bake what you need for a day or two. They were more than dissapointing. straight up bad. The chocolate croissant was pretty good. still, one bar of chocolate is subpar. I understand how you could get away with so-so in some places, but there are boulangeries in falmouth, wellfleet, and even hyannis that make this taste like a Stop & Shop treat. I will probably be back. If you haven't gone, then you should definitely drop in and spend just a couple bucks to sample some things. Still, you guys need to step your game up and not just try to get by on the fact that you are a bakery in Osterville. Real estate might be about location location location, but bakeries are different. If you've had fresh baked goods, you kind of expect them from a bakery. read more

Stopped by twice today. I had a DELICIOUS quiche for lunch with a beautiful well-dressed salad--Superb. The young man on the register made a condescending remark to me but I let it go, maybe it was just me. I came back later in the day to buy some outrageously delicious blood-orange gelato, I noticed my pint was not packed tightly and made the suggestion to the same young man that for $11.71, the gelato should be packed tighter and suggested they use an ice cream paddle to scoop the gelato (I did not ask for it to be repacked). I got NO response. I then handed him the cash for the gelato and he gave me back change with NO response. Realizing it was the second time today that I've had a negative interaction with this young man, I responded with "You're Welcome." He then asked me. "What are you welcome for?" I told him, when a customer pays for a service, courtesy calls for a thank-you, to which a customer says, "You're Welcome." Clearly, this kid should not be on the front register. Maybe a job picking up the parking lot, emptying trash, cleaning the bathrooms would serve him better. A good dose of humility will serve him well. P.S. I should have given 2 stars, but the food was so good, and the other young women who work there are so sweet. read more

Amie is beautiful on the outside and the inside is as well but that is about all that is good. The menu is hard to read, beverages aren't on the menu on the wall. The service is horrendous. Takes forever to order, then you wait and wait for your order. Whoever designed the inside did it backwards. I went in when they first opened and it was not a good experience. We came to try the bagels - out of bagels at 12:30. Out of two different smoothies so tried the "Good Morning" but was overwhelmed by turmeric and couldn't finish it. My son-in-law asked about something on the breakfast menu and was told breakfast was not an option. Nicoise salad had a few greens, a sliced boiled egg and a tiny daub of potato salad for $13.00! We wanted to like this new bakery in town so much - but when we arrived very excited about the advertised "fresh, hot donuts," and after waiting in line for 20 minutes, the donuts were dry and tasteless (even my 3 year old grand daughter did not like them). We also purchased cupcakes and my grand daughters complained about the taste of the frosting. There was very little seating (everyone was looking for chairs for their tables) and the wait for ice tea was about 10 minutes. Finally they put our gluten free products in the same packaging as non gluten free (not a big deal for us but for anyone with severe allergies, it could be a problem). I've come to know Amie's as a customer who frequented the original bakery in Osterville Center and now at its new location. I was surprised when Amy, the owner, started to build their new store one mile outside of town. However, I recently stopped by and loved the new look. The prices are high and the seating is limited; though, if you're seeking quality bakery product and excellent coffee, this is the place to go! They have a liquor license but it sounds like the store will be closing at 7:00 each night. The reason I'm writing is what happened this morning. I pulled up at 9:30 am to get coffee and noticed a number of people sitting in their cars in the parking lot. Then, I spotted Amy leaving the building and jumping into her car. She told a small group of people that the store was closed because "her production person" was sick. Not sure why she didn't let us all know --and, perhaps offer us a (free) cup of coffee. It was not a good example of customer service. read more

I'm not quite sure where all these 5 stars are coming from. This place is mediocre at best. The service is always slow. Always. It doesn't matter if you are the only one in the place. They take their time waiting on you. (I was in again today after numerous visits--I learn my lessons hard--and there were 5 people behind the counter who were waiting on *no one* yet there was a line of no less than 6 people). The plain croissants are not genuine--they're flat and chewy with no flakiness to them whatsoever, and the almond croissants are soaked in a too-mild almond flavoring that only makes the center wet and mushy, and they have very few sliced almonds on top. They're sliced in half so that while you're eating it, the croissant falls apart. The baquettes should not be called a baquette as we expect it to be crispy on the outside and have a nice flavor on the in. These are a disappointment on all fronts. Everything is perfectly overpriced here. Maybe some new recipes are in order. Don't these locals know the difference? There are many other places you could go to get top quality bakery items--whether it be bagels, croissants, baquettes, baked goods, etc.--without a wait, with merchants that are genuinely happy to see you, and without the ridiculous prices. 5 items $27--if it's worth it, that's one thing, and I'm the first to line up, but it isn't. I like to support the locals, and I have tried to like this place, but I cannot justify patronizing them any more. There's too many other choices, just a little farther to drive. read more

If you are looking for the best tomato soup on Cape Cod, head over to Amie's. I just enjoyed a cup with a friend and it is the best she has ever had as well! The homemade crouton was a mini croissant! Stay for a cup of coffee, it is full bodied and delicous. I have never tasted coffee like it! read more

Amie is just in time for the summer season in Osterville. No doubt this adorable, high quality bakery will do very well. Great croissant, muffins and delicious lattes. Love that they carry the Local Juice. HOWEVER it is one of the most frustrating customer service experiences. When I go in to buy a quick latte and muffin it's easily a 10 min ordeal. The cashier often leaves the customer waiting to pay, standing around money in hand, aimless. When I sit at the counter its the same thing. Hopefully this is new staff just working the kinks out. The same attention to detail paid to their baked goods must be paid to their customers' experience. read more

Hopefully an anomaly. My experience is limited to only one item, a small 6-7 inch diameter birthday cake. White cake with white buttercream frosting. Frosting was tasteless. Cake was unlike anything I've ever eaten that could be called cake. The crumb was all wrong. Dense and chewy the top layer was a gray and the bottom was a pale gray-yellow color and like the frosting, the cake was tasteless. It was like they never heard of cake flour. Or they used an all purpose or high gluten flour and beat it to the point it was the consistency of pizza dough. I'm not a pastry chef, but I know my way around the basics of baking. This cake was simply put, awful, not edible and not cake. No idea how a professional could produce something this far off the mark. $32.00 in the trash. Others have reported better experiences. People were very nice, place looked great. My son said the doughnuts (which may be an off-menu item) are awesome. The prices are very high even compared to other fine bakeries. Like Konditor Meister in Braintree MA. However, Konditor Meister is consistently on the mark. This place is hit or miss. Good luck, hopefully for you it will be a hit. Ughhh - sooo disappointed - heard such great things and yuck - the macaroon was hard as a rock - absolutely could not eat it we even tried microwaving it - no luck. My wife and I stopped in at the Amie Bakery today and had a nice breakfast and brought some delicious pastries home. Breakfast was a spinach and artichoke quiche and mine was a ham, egg, and cheese pocket. Both flavorful and satisfying. We split an apple and blueberry tart and took half a dozen other desserts home.
