I've been using Noel's pool service for a couple years for a rental property. I live a couple hours away, so I count on him to care for the pool. From a distance, everything seemed great, friendly, responds to texts promptly, tells me when it's time to clean filters etc. Stopped by my property to check on it. Pool is disgusting! (See pictures). Mind you I didn't just hire him, it's been years. His employee, super cocky & rude young kid, has total attitude, everything is not his job, he just puts chemicals and brushes- crappy job at that. Kid starts to tone it down when I tell him I'm the owner, not a tenant. Tenants tell me they have been struggling with Noel and all they get is attitude. Insufficient cleaning, insufficient chemicals, they have been supplementing chemicals. I call Noel, all excuses, that he doesn't offer full service, that tenants aren't doing a good job cleaning pool, or yard. House and yard looked well maintained and I do not pay tenants to clean pool, I pay Noel. Told Noel he should have notified me, he has no issue notifying to charge for extra services... After our last two pool cleaning services (in the beginning were good but) ended up being total nightmares. The price is reasonable too. Noel comes once a week...ALWAYS on his scheduled day (Monday's) and our pool looks absolutely beautiful EVERYTIME! When I text him with a question, he's quick to respond. There was one afternoon, our timer (ours is kind of complicated to program) on our pool sweep was running longer than usual, I texted Noel about it. He was out having dinner but after dinner, with his kids in tow, came over to fix the problem. I was shocked!! He didn't have to go out of his way do that for us. I hired Noel via his reviews on Yelp, and honestly HE WAS THE WORST POOL PERSON I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, PERIOD. Although this sounds like a case of sour grapes, I assure you it is not. I have no axe to grind if a guy can't do a job properly, but as a "upstanding guy" he should have had the integrity to address his inability rather than taking my money- I should sue him, but I can let it go. My rental property has a pool that was newly refurbished on 10/08/2014, so I was in need of a pool guy- Noel seemed like a great guy, but on several occasions I went by the house only find that pool walls were not scrubbed/ cleaned, and the chemical balances were off. When I confronted Noel, all that came forth were excuses. At least 6 times I caught him misrepresenting his maintenance on my pool in the 9 months that he was "my pool guy'. I eventually fired him, and am now cleaning up his mess! Watch out for him (or at least watch him) because he's not honest! read more

We've had our pool for 25 years and maintained it pretty well by ourselves but just had it remodeled this last spring. We realized the new pool would need some serious care so I looked around on the internet for a person with a good Yelp review and found Noel. We were so happy with the service he provided, we could set our clocks by when he showed up! We had an emergency with our pool equipment and called him, he was over here so fast, found the problem and fixed it within 5 minutes! WHEW! It's so good and actually amazing to find someone that works so hard and is so trustworthy. He was also very careful about keeping our gates shut so our dogs didn't get out (something of the utmost importance to us, that seems to escape everyone else that comes into our yard).
