Amici's Italian Kitchen is only 15 minutes away from my house and I've only just discovered it today. Unlike chain restaurants and large local shops, Amici's is a small mid-priced family Italian eatery you can find in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey neighborhoods. We are fortunate that the owner Carlo brought it to Canton Georgia! The menu is what you'd expect from a bigger restaurant - a great selection of Italian eats. The Creamy Tomato Basil soup is a winner -- delicious, thick, and full flavored. Likewise, the Eggplant Parmesan was soaked with a great sauce and the pasta was al dente --- another winner. For dessert I ate small cannoli's that our server Alison made fresh at the end of our meal! All in all, Amici's is a place worth trying for Italian family cooking. Alison was great. She made us feel at home, comfortable, had good humor, and gave us fast friendly service. Amici's is not a fancy place, but one worth making that dinner ride. read more

This place was mentioned to me in passing and I'm so glad we tried it out. The owner Carlo along with the staff are very nice and accommodating. He brought us some Italian bread and olive oil to try which was fantastic. (like from a NY Italian bakery) The arugula salad was very good and the pizza was great. They make a Sicilian pie which you cannot find everywhere. Their round pies are also great. This last visit we tried the Trenton style pie which I give . They have other things on the menu but we have stuck to pizza as our main course. They have desserts in the case (try the tuxedo bomb). You won't regret it. All that being said, this is a pizzeria. It is not a formal restaurant with waiter service. There are ample tables and the service is great. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in after having seen a review and was very happy I did. Had the cheesesteak with fries and it was excellent. Great portion size and what's not to love about fresh hot fries. Old style fries and not any of that new fangled coated crap that can survive the next epidemic. Food came out hot and pretty darn quick for something made to order. Folks that run the place are very nice. Had some great looking pizzas coming out of the kitchen and the desserts looked great also. Already planning my next visit since they have all the classics and from what I could see they do it right. Should I have taken a photo to post with this, yes I should have but I started in as soon as it was served. Service was fast as well so what's not to love? Inside the place has the mom and pop feel of your typical little local pizza and deli, nothing fancy but nice, clean and respectable. Several table to enjoy your food at. Lots of choices. read more

We ordered a stromboli with chicken, tomatoes, and spinach; ingredients tasted fresh and delectable! We also got the meatball sub, excellent choice. Superb lunch today with one of the best and most authentic pizzas that we've had in many, many years! As a matter of fact, perhaps the last time that I've tasted such quality was at the old Amicis Sixes Road location. We're so happy that they've come back with the old master pizzaristas. Now they also have a massive smoker and we sampled perfectly executed ribs, pastrami, and shaved brisket. It was a 90 minute drive for us but certainly worth the effort. The only downside for me was that they'd sold out of the stuffed artichokes. We highly recommend this real- deal search for Italy. read more

We are very picky pizza eaters, we drive into Atl or go to the battery or Alpharetta to get a pie that we like, typically do not order anything locally in regards to pizza, had a recommendation from a friend that said Amici's was awesome, we tried it tonight and they were correct it was awesome, perfect, we ordered the white and we added a little mushroom a little sausage to it, it was delicious, the place inside is perfect, can't wait for them to do other things in there, the owner Carlo is perfect and so friendly , so happy he has opened in our neighborhood, this is a must try for everyone!! read more

Rude, rude, rude. We stopped in here for dinner and found a seat, not realizing you order at the counter. The girl wiping down tables saw us but didn't say anything like "when you're ready, you order at the counter". No problem. We figured it out. I walk up to the counter and there's no menu. I ask for one and the girl rolled her eyes and pushed one towards me. We had our 5-year-old so I immediately looked for a spaghetti to and meatball option for him since that's what he was asking for. The kids options are hot dog, grilled cheese and chicken tenders (if I recall correctly, I might be off with one of those). I asked if they did a kids spaghetti and meatball. The girl at the counter asked the woman walking to the back and she barked "no!", as if I was asking something completely outlandish. Really? An Italian restaurant offers hot dogs and grilled cheese but no kids spaghetti and meatball? That's like the most basic well-loved option for kids in Italian restaurants. Oh well, I figured I'd get the adult portion and share with him, no big deal. My husband wanted lasagna but they don't have it fresh, they only have it pre-made refrigerated. The reaction when we asked if they had it fresh was, again, met with a short "no" and rolling eyes. He was really wanting fresh and by then the vibe was less than friendly so we just left. Eating out isn't cheap and I just can't justify supporting a business where the owner sets such a rude tone. Not sure if they were just having a stressful night, but as a new restaurant that is family-run, they didn't give a family-friendly (or even just a friendly) impression at all. *update: after sharing my experience here on a social media post, the owner laughed at my recollection of her rudeness. Instead of simply apologizing (like a smart business person would), she laughed. Apparently they don't value customer service and would rather laugh at someone's poor experience than simply apologize and try to make it right. Hey, whatever works for them.
