We were VERY pleased with the job and the professional service. Connie and Sage were very prompt with emails and phone calls, making coordination of estimate and ultimately the job, a breeze. Aaron, Randolph, and Josh installed a new furnace/AC in our 1964 house. They were clean, quiet, and had the job wrapped up in a day and a half. We were also pleased and proud to support a local, small business. VERY happy overall! Many thanks to the entire B&B team! Mike A. NW Reno

First time I called, I had to leave a voicemail. After a couple hours and no return call, I called back. Connie answered and was able to fit us in same day, which was awesome! The technician that came out, called me before heading over and it happened to be earlier than the estimated time, another nice surprise. He and another technician/trainee did a check of our system to see if there was anything wrong. He discussed all of the technical stuff with my husband and told us our system was overheating and thus short cycling. Gave us recommendations to minimize it from reoccurring, like maintaining both floors at same temp. Mentioned his relative had same issues who lives in the same community because of the way the houses were built. Will see if their recommendations help but really appreciated the quick scheduling and friendly service visit.

However, for something outside of my scope, I have to rely on the responsiveness of vendors. Often, this is a frustrating experience since sometime vendors just cont answer calls or texts or won't reply at all. Battleborn Vents exceeded my expectations! Of the 3 dryer vent cleaning companies I called, not only did BBV *answer*, then call me back asap, but even was able to squeeze in a service in between calls! Imagine a new rental with so much hair in the vents it was very nearly a fire hazard, and 1 company didn't respond/answer at all and another was over 2 weeks out - ma'am, the place would be ashes by then! If you need vents wept clean don't want to get blown off, call Battleborn Vents! Professional, prompt and at a very reasonable rate for an urgent service call they went out of their way to accommodate - that's service worth a shout out! Look at my photos! Results are clear and so is the dryer vent!!

He actively communicated with me via text, trying to fit me into the schedule--multiple times. Was really going out of his way. Just fantastic follow-up and follow-through. Jorge's level of service--EXCEPTIONAL. Kind and considerate, and went the extra mile multiple times. We were having an issue with our dryer telling us our vent was blocked. Jorge checked the vent from outside the house, explaining what he was seeing as he cleared out whatever he could find. Since that didn't fix the dryer issue, the dryer company sent out a (pretty lazy) service person, who took a brief look and said it was still the vent. Jorge offered to come back and take another look, even going down in the crawl space to disassemble and reassemble the dryer vent to see what else he could find. Nothing. It's actually the dryer that has a wonky sensor--thanks to Jorge's genial hard work, we now know this definitively. Thanks guys. Highly recommend this pleasant and professional service team, and will work with them again.

We recently had a small leak under one of the bathroom sinks. We are on their Sierra Reward Program. So we called them on Wednesday before 5 pm. and were able to get an appointment for the following day. Now, that's customer service. The next day, they called us in the early afternoon to inform us that one of their plumbers was on the way. He arrived about 20 minutes later. His name was Alex Church. He asked to see the bathroom and to explain the problem. He took it apart and looked at all the components. Found the problem and fixed it. He informed us that we will need to replace the faucet soon. He was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He fixed our problem. I write this in hopes that his bosses see this and he gets KUDOS for his work. We are very pleased to be on the Sierra Reward Program and recommend this company.

When would my 25 year old AC fail? Of course, just when I needed it most - Mid-July. I wanted to…read moreside-step the big HVAC folks with a fleet of trucks and high overhead, so, I was fortunate enough to find Ernie Salazar - emsheatingandair@gmail.com. emsrenohvac.com He answered my initial phone call within 24 hrs. Showed up for estimate exactly when he said he would. Having spent many years as a Field Engineer rescuing mission-critical computer systems, I know how vital good communication is to a frustrated end-user. For us, calling the customer within a half-hour was Job 1, and there is where Ernie shines. Never at any moment was I left wondering the why, how or what he was doing. His nearly 20 years experience was clearly evident as he quickly sized up what needed to be done, ordering all the parts and equipment. He was here at exactly 8:00 AM on the scheduled day. He kept me apprised of his progress every step of the way; politely answering all my nagging questions. He works quickly and efficiently. A sizable Investment, but Ernie's bright attitude and old-school work ethic was very reassuring. I'd decided to have him replace both AC and Heater, replacing it all at once; it is a lot of work; very physical; inside, outside - with a lot of time spent under the house. A truckload of special tools, electrical, wiring, plumbing, gas, telephone lines-and much more, but he made it all look easy. On observing all that he was able to accomplish, the price tag was never an issue. There was a problem with the crossover duct under the house (mine is a Manufactured Home), that he also replaced with a mouse proof, better insulated, replacement that along with the new install will make a marked improvement in heating and cooling efficiency. A major upgrade and renovation. I anticipate saving on my Electric Bill. Also, peeking over his shoulder, I learned a lot that I didn't know. I could see how much better quality was his work to what had been originally installed. Much better insulation and wiring, neater layout; "the whole nine yards." Upon seeing how deteriorated and rundown my old AC had gotten, I then wished it had broken 5 years ago. Also, that yearly maintenance is well worth the cost. Needless to say, I'm super-impressed! Surely, there are a lot of experienced and capable folks in this field, but nothing instills confidence, or is more gratifying, than a workman who shows respect (to those upon whom his livelihood depends), by being honest, direct and punctual. This is where many in the Service Industry fail, and is a major cause of complaints. Ernie doesn't work for a Company-as you will see, he works for you. He is very busy, but compensates by working fast. He doesn't mess around. I've been in the service industry for fifty years and E. Salazar is among the very best. A rare occurrence, that he exceeded my expectations. His pricing is competitive, not cheap, but you'll get what you paid for. A simple formula: honesty, integrity-say exactly what you will do, then do it!

So this review is is for service over the past year…read more A short history. A few years ago, we had four seasons put in a new furnace. After checking around and getting tons of estimates, there was as much as a $10,000 difference between all of the estimates. Four seasons came in at the best price. Unfortunately, I ordered an 80,000 BTU furnace and when the guy was done, I looked at the furnace and saw that it was a 60,000 BTU. I showed the guy the invoice and basically his response was ' Oh crap' so I talk to the manager and he assured me that 60,000 BTU would heat my home sufficiently since it was a high-efficiency unit. I was ready to have them tear it out and put the right one in, when the manager guaranteed the furnace and gave me the price for the 60 KBTU with a substantial discount. I did the regular maintenance and service service with four seasons. When Goettl took over, I'm not sure if they just change the name, or bought four seasons, but everything changed after that. First I was informed of a membership called Sadie which is basically a yearly/monthly fee that allows us to get a lot of benefits. Free service calls, free, free preventative maintenance and discounts on non-covered items. The first thing that I noticed was Josh came in to do a service, check the pressure and saw that the original installation guy did not convert my furnace to propane. Apparently none of the other service people ever checked the pressure. He had to return with the correct parts and changed out the valve. He also helped me out with a bathroom heating duct that was ripped. The price was great and he said he felt bad that we had such issues with the previous company. A few months later (last Saturday) we stopped getting heat. I called Goettl let them know, and they were at my house within two hours. When it's freezing outside or going to be subzero it's really important when they respond so quickly. Chris was the technician and he found the problem, however, the plumbing supply company was not open till Monday morning. Two days with sub, freezing temperatures scaring me a bit. Chris said that he would check with Dispatch and see if they had a couple of space heaters. When he was leaving, he noticed we had a bunch of firewood on the front and he offered to help bring firewood in. I told him no problem we had it, he said he was happy to help us. Make sure we had enough firewood to get through two days. These two offers, were above and beyond in something you really wouldn't expect from your HVAC people. Unfortunately, they didn't have any space heaters at Dispatch, so we went to Home Depot and got some radiator heaters and then yes 24 hours a day kept a fire going. Chris showed up Monday about 11 AM with the parts and it took him about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix all of the problems. I'm not savvy with all of the HVAC terms, but something about condensate water bill backed up through the system blah blah blah... we now have heat. lol. Getting the Sadie member membership/club was the best thing we decided to do. They call us regularly to schedule our summer and winter maintenance. They are responsive. And they are very polite every time I call them. I really would recommend you contacting them and get on that membership before you actually need them. Thank you, Josh and chris and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the female technician that came out and changed our filters but she was awesome also!
