Dwylan Dienner was very helpful with information and advice as we made our selection. Many thanks! Also, the week after our washing machine purchase, our electric stove/oven short-circuited while it was pre-heating. In less than 30 minutes, Terry arrived, found the issue, and was able to get the stovetop portion operational so I could finish making supper. Within two days the necessary part arrived and the oven portion was fixed. Was extremely grateful for such prompt repair service.

The Martin Appliance folks went above and beyond for the level of service. They were Professional and respectful in their mannerism. The Sales Individual, Wendell Kaufman, worked really hard to find the best model to fit out needs. Wendell was patient and not pushing trying to over sale. The Installers, Mark and Kenny, were very detailed oriented with the installation making sure it was done correctly. The Service Technician, Joel, needed to replace a part damaged in shipping. He was prompt for the appointment, not early or late, and explained the repair before he left. This purchase went so well I would give them a higher rating if possible, I will be returning to the Quarryville location!!

Called to ask about scratch and dent washers when our 20 yr old one decided to retire.... was told…read morethey had one "return and repair", for a very nice (low) price.......washers have gotten expensive in the last 20 yrs or so...... Went to look at it next morning, liked the washer, asked about delivery fees, and was told delivery (and set-up) was free! Even on their "seconds", delivery and set-up was still free, and not only that, haul away of the old one was included (even though it was in pieces, as I had investigated to see if it could be repaired). Delivery was set for 8-10 the next morning (!). The serviceman called at 805, and arrived at 815. 2 young guys, which was fortunate, as our washer is down a narrow set of stairs, into our low-ceilinged basement. I had everything ready for them, including removing the basement door, in the hopes of helping a little. With a bit of work, they first removed the old washer, and then, using carry straps rather than a hand truck, they were able to get the new washer down the steps (tight fit! about 2" of clearance) and into a ready position. They also installed new hoses (also free), and lifted and leveled the new washer on the cinder blocks we have as stands (our basement gets about a half to an inch of water, depending on how bad the storm), and made sure it was functional before heading off to their next stop. Very clean, quick, and professional! Was the best price I found, even after calling numerous other places (including the big-box retailers and so-called discount places). We are more than happy with our new GE washer (which has a very large capacity, even larger than our "max capacity" one they removed). Next appliance we need, guess who we're calling FIRST!!

Nothing like having a major appliance fail, in the middle of a pandemic. When you have an…read moreadditional 4 people in your household AND apparently the country is in the midst of an appliance shortage. Welcome to my life a few months back...... Washer died, like completely. There was no way of resurrecting this thing. I admit as I was (kinda) happy to see it go. While it was less than a decade old it had this reoccurring issue draining that even stumped the repairman. Time of death could have been more convenient though. I had no idea there was an appliance shortage. None, nada. I didn't even know that was a "thing" or a possibility. Before I went to any physical store I shopped online, which is where it first became evident that this might be a bigger problem than I thought. It was end of Nov, early December and Lowes and Home Depot had estimated availability for mid March - pick up or delivery. This just can't be. Then I remembered my coworker telling me about a scratch and dent store in Lancaster where he had gotten an appliance. Normally that's not the route I would take but I was desperate. K & A was located near the ReStore in Greenfield. It was a little hard to find, and parking could have been better but walking in I was impressed. Inventory was vast and not just for washers. They had a huge warehouse of every kind of appliance you could need available cash and carry that day or via a (scheduled) delivery. It was a bit overwhelming. I knew what kind of features I wanted and pretty much was looking for something with no bells and whistles. Washers have come a long way and I was surprised by all the technology driven features they now have. While they did have some basic, plain Jane models, they were few and far between and in a much smaller drum capacity than fit my needs. A salesgirl came over several times to assist me but really didn't offer much as far as information other than specific to the store (their warranty, delivery, etc ). If I asked her something about a particular model she read the information sheet, which I could do so she was pretty much useless. I did find the process of making a final selection difficult, comparing the different models and features. I probably spend more time than most as I was googling reviews and bullet point features on the models I had narrowed it down to. It would have been nice is that work was done already and featured somewhere on the washer in greater detail than what they provided. Also keeping track of which ones I was considering took clever thinking. I folded the corner of the price so I knew since many look the same. Bring a colored post it or something to keep track. I finally settled on one I liked and at the last minute before going to the register asked for it to be pulled out so I could inspect all the sides/back. (Remember this is scratch and dent). I'm so glad I did as this unit had a back that was pulling apart from a huge dent and the possibility of it leaking was probably above average. I was able to find the same unit but with only a small scratch for the exact same price. I do think pricing should reflect the damage but felt it doesn't. Overall I was happy with the process and hubby came back later in the day to get it. You pay first and must show receipt at pick up but I believe they'll hold it for 48 hours (paid). The warranty is factory OR one year/parts and labor through them. It's one or the other. Overall for the unit I bought I saved about $400 and no one would even know it was scratch and dent if I didn't tell them. I would shop here again next time an appliance fails even without an appliance shortage.

I was told everything was tested and working before it was put on the floor. Got it home and immediately had an error code. I have to go through the manufacture to get it fixed. I saved $200 over buying brand new at Lowe's. If you use your Lowe's card to purchase an appliance and anything is wrong they will replace it right away with a new one. The tiny bit of savings from K&A is NOT worth the risk.
