I came here after being turned away from Les Scwhab because they "didn't have time" to mount and balance a tire, even though they were still open for another 20 minutes. They were also going to charge menow$40 for this! For one tire mount and balance, ridiculous. I immediately came to America's Tire, who were going to close in 5 minutes, but the manager who greeted, told me to pull in and he had the service I needed done in less than 10 minutes, for FREE. I will never buy tires from another company!! these guys went above and beyond! not only did I have a flat, but my car battery died. they tried to jump start it with no luck. I was able to get a new battery from down the street and the great guys at America's tire were so accommodating and switched them out for me!!! thank you so much!! read more

I've been a customer for several years now, and all I can say is if you don't get outstanding service here....It's YOU, not them! Their exceptional customer service is what keeps me coming back and spreading their joy with friends and relatives. Today, I was in with my wife's MKX, which had a nail in it. I was greeted by Trevor, who assessed the situation, found the nail and recommended a rotation, which was due. I went and sat outside and got talking with another customer. Less than an hour later, the car was pulled up front and Trevor emerged with the key fob and announced "Unfortunately....." When I heard that, I thought "uh oh, here we go." He continued "One of our techs, a rookie, damaged your tire, so we put a NEW one on and did the rotation." He then handed me the fob and when I asked "What do I owe you?" the answer was "It's FREE" This is ironic because my wife and I are always griping about incompetence in business and how we can't stand it and it seems like an epidemic, etc. This particular America's Tire, Trevor and other customer service reps I observed, are the epitome of how a successful business should be run. My family and I had plans on leaving town when I discovered at the last minute that she had flat that was not repairable. We were short on time so I went over to America Tire first thing Saturday morning. I thought I would be early but was surprised to find that they were already busy with clients and tire repairs. I walked in and was promptly greeted by Moises (rather large guy). I'd explained to Moises my situation and he quickly went to work. We first looked at the flat tire that I had dismounted and brought in and he confirmed my suspicion that due to puncture of the tire near the sidewall, it would be patchable. Sucks for me. So we proceeded to get two new tires. Sadly, they did not carry the brand (Bridgestone) or model of tire that I wanted so that I could match them up to the existing other two that didn't need replacing yet. Moises said no. I then asked for Michelins. He said that Michelins would cost more at $270 each. I replied, that's fine. I'll pay more for what I want and quality. Sadly however, they didn't stick them either. Moise then recommended Yokohama tires for $160 each, which they had in stock. I was a bit apprehensive but I decided on the Yokohama tires and have since been happy. This is a good place. They've always been professional and polite. I really didn't want to be there any longer than I had too. Therefore I was pleasantly surprise that the whole thing took no more than 20-30 minutes which was to be expected. Good place. I've been here before and will continue to go here for my tire needs. I know they want to push less expensive tires and or what they have available. I also understand that most people would not want to spend $300 per tire. But my only suggestion is to carry and have available other higher end tires like Michelins, Bridgestones, or Goodyears, because there are some clients that want that option. I know that had it not been for my time constraint to leave town, I would have left American Tire and gone else where to get the tires I wanted. I am, however, happy with the Yokohama tires I got for less. They performed adequate for our trip out of town. But the true test, or quality test, and road noise test of the Yokohama or any tire is not when it's new but when it's older. read more

Came here because of the 5 star review and I'm glad I did-- they made an appointment for me to get assistance with my flat tire-- I was frustrated when I pulled in because of the long line but they moved the line super fast with every employee working hard and fast, took my keys, promised me a 2 hour wait and it was ready faster than promised. The tire was patched for free and all tire pressure was adjusted, tires rotated and all for completely free. Will definitely come back here again! read more

My tires were ordered online on the America's Tire website, and sent to this location. I made an appointment for installation at a convenient time. The tires were there as promised. Super friendly staff! Very patient for those without knowledge about tires and rims. They did a great job of helping me pick out the right rooms for my tires. They were very fast I was surprised by how quickly they got everything done even though it seemed like there were a lot of customers they're getting work done. I can't over emphasize how happy all the staff seemed to be. Most automotive shops have a few grouchy old salts you don't like what they're doing but not America's tire store. Use guys for all young energetic and eager to please. Their values were excellent and they had a wide selection to choose from. I'm done buying tires from this place. They need their in-take people to be employees, not sales people (I.e., not get a commission). Throw extra money into the equation and a customer has to deal with someone trying to sell them crap they don't need. Took my car in for rotation and balance today. The in-take guy tells me that one of my tire has a staple that may not have gone in all the way and that I don't have road hazard to cover the repair cost but I'm in luck because I can get a prorated discount on new tires (i.e., discount for my precious tires not lasting as long as promised). First off, I checked my tires, there wasn't a staple in it. Second, I purchased the road hazard with the tires. The guy thinks he's going to pull a fast one on me. I'm not buying it and he knows I'm not going to fall for it. Car comes back with nothing wrong. No mention of a flat repair. Nothing. This the last time I'm coming back to this store. read more

I am a long-term customer of America's Tire Store but was recently very dissapointed that the American Tire's service rep. choose to handle a customer waiting in line behind me first because he had happened to talk to him outside. Customers should always be handled in the order they are waiting in line for service. I spoke to Jay, the manager of this outlet about my issues of being bypassed in line. He explained that he would talk to his employee about my customer-service issue. The next day, Jay approached me to let me know that he had fixed two nails he found in one of my tires without cost the very sameday of my negative customer service experience. I was very pleased to learn this news. So, we have moved on and I am hopeful that this type of customer bypassing will not occur in the future. read more

We've been taking our cars, trucks and trailers to this shop for tire work for as long as I can remember. We've always had very special tire needs and most of the time the shop has had to special order what we wanted or needed at the time. They've mounted everything for us from trailer tires to racing slicks. The result has always been a ride that was as smooth as glass. In all of that time we only had one tire issue which they replaced at no charge. As far as pricing goes they have always matched any price from any other shop or the Internet. I went to this location to have a tire fixed because air was leaking. An employee took a quick look and tried to sell me two new tires. He didn't even take the time to figure out what was wrong with my tire. Perhaps he tried to take advantage because I'm a woman. I knew he was wrong about my car needing two new tires because my dad, who knows about cars, had already looked at them and told me all I needed was to patch it up. I went to Tire Citi on Clovis and Ashlan and had my tire patched up for $10, drove my car more than 200 miles and it's still running. I will never go to this place again. read more

I was impressed by their service. I had an appointment for 8:00 am which is the actual time the business opens. I arrived around 7:45 and was immediately greeted by the staff. My car was up on the rack within 5 minutes. I truly appreciated their quick service in addition to their professional and courteous attitude. I choose this place because I thought I was going to save money and it has been the worse experience I had. I will NEVER buy or recommend this place to anyone. I bought a set of two tires here, before I left this place (problem #1) my low pressure signal was on in my car and one of the guys said that it should go off when I start to drive. I went directly home and the light never went off, the next morning, (problem #2) one of the brand new tires that I had just bought was completely flat. I called American Tires to let them know about the flat tire in which they sent a towing company to get my car at no charge to me. When we went to pick up the car again , the manager or the guy in charge had told us that he was really sorry for what happen but one of his new hire employee had NOT SEAL the tire completely and that NO ONE had supervised him, he was very apologetic. I use this car to commute people and i was just glad that I was still here when that happen. They fix the tired AGAIN and I left, (problem #3) half way to my house SMOKE starts coming out of the side of that same flat tire that THEY had just work on. I called back American Tires AGAIN to let them know smoke is coming out, Drove back to the place for the 3rd TIME to inspected, now they said that the Caliber had lock ( at that same place that this new employee had change my tire and that they had just work( the flat one), they say that this had nothing to do with the tire. I had to take the car to Speedy right next to the AmericanTires ( a place that they recommend) and pay $45 to inspect the car. They could not give me a specific reason guy the caliber lock and they recomendable me to replace both because I could danger my safety if I didn't. PAID $525.00 for that. I had call 2 other shops, (not the ones American Tires had recommend me to go to), I called one here in Clovis and another one in Gilroy to ask if the caliber can just lock by it self and they told me IT DOESNT lock by itself. That the only reason why a caliber can lock is if someone opens/ or work in that side and hits the caliber by accident directly or if is driven having the stick break on. People I had NO PROBLEMS with this car before and it was not like that before I took my car for new tires. I just took my car for new tires and it was worse. So now I end up paying $525 for brand new Calibers + $200 on tires. I should off went to Firestone. I would never comeback to American Tires because they are not holding themselves responsible for anything. Is just so much coincidence that the Caliber had to Lock on that same tire that ( the new guy) worked on and not in another place of the car. read more
