If you have two thousands people and need a lot rooms for classes, this is the place in St. Louis. I was here for a national steel conference. And the facility is perfect to accommodate so many people. The exhibition hall is big to fit the steel cutting machine, demonstration and more with indoor hall. There also room to accommodate lunch and cocktails for many people. The hallway is wide with minimum 30 to 40 feet for registration, walking. Bathrooms can be found in many corner of the center for convenient. The entrance has two locations with drive by drop off. One at the back of 7th street and the other at the other is at Washington Avenue.

It's spacious and definitely needs updated, but it's clean and a great place to have vaccinations. All the men and women in uniform is really nice, too.

I attended a large tourism conference at America's Center this summer and left impressed with the event space. It has large, cavernous rooms ideal for keynotes with thousands of attendees and smaller breakout rooms that can host 50-100 guests. Restrooms are clean, easy to find and even have cool phone holders in the stall - first time I've ever seen that feature! Beyond anything else, I was impressed with the hospitality displayed by the America's Center and Explore St. Louis staff. There was always someone nearby to point you in the right direction or answer your question. My only complaints are the rooms were quite chilly (as they are at most conferences, so bring a sweater) and the breakfast provided was lackluster (oatmeal and yogurt only). Otherwise, I had a good experience here.

I wish there was a permanent occupant of this building. It just seems like wasted space in the city. I've been here for conventions and banquets and I'm always satisfied with my visit. The latest trip here was for a luncheon and the food was delish! The facility is always clean and the restrooms are kept decent as well.. I just simply wish the building was used on a more consistent basis

This place is huge! There is a cafe that serves sandwiches, coffee, pop, etc. Keep in mind a 20 ounce pop costs $3.75. There's a wireless signal and the rooms aren't anything fancy but they are comfortable. There's a parking garage across the street and it costs $1 per half hour or $12 a day (as of 10/2010) If you are staying at the Renaissance you are right across the street from America's Center.

Great little spot, nice and cool inside. Friendly service:)

Understand this place is big enough to house the rock n roll marathon expo but hate the parking situation.

Pretty nice for a convention center, they seem to have it down. Easy to get around and pleasant to the eyes.

Great facilities, great convention staff. Probably one of the best convention centers I've ever visited (which aren't that many).

I could have gotten a hot breakfast but I was always in a hurry so I got the continental to go: coffee, fruit cup, vanilla yogurt and bagel your style. Your other choices include omelettes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, if you want the hot breakfast. However the hot breakfast does not include fruit, which I always prefer: cut up cantaloupe, pineapple, berries. It was great! I used my $10 food card for an ooey gooey butter cake. Paid $4 with tip since it was $12. Every evening, they serve the best ooey gooey cookies ever! free! Marriott also loaded a $25 gift card to my account that expired soon, so I went next door to the Marriott and spent it on two bottles of water, a seltzer and a fruit cup and paid $4 extra. They sure do charge a lot for water! I heard there is a grocery store Shnucks near by but I didn't have time to visit. The only thing was I stayed several nights but they did not clean the room or even change the towels after the first night. I was too busy and tired to care but hang up your towels!

I stayed there this past weekend for a volleyball tournament across the street. The location couldn't have been better. And the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. But thy were way understaffed, and it showed. The lobby smelled really bad. Like gross. Made me not want to hang out down there at all. One of the three elevators were out and as it was bus and they are small elevators you ended up waiting a lot. My room size was ok, but the tv didn't work, the phone didn't work, the safe didn't work, the room lighting was poor and the pillows were the worst quality pillows possible. I let them know the next day and they couldn't fix anything so they just moved me to a new room. But they don't help me at all and I had to move my own stuff at 9:30pm after a long day. In addition the valet was so slow it didn't make sense to use them. You'd literally wait 20 minutes for a car. They had in room coffee but it was gross and the water out of the sink tasted weird. I also asked for a slightly Kate checkout and they said no initially. I know they don't have people coming to the hotel for the week so it was surprising the couldn't give me an extra 30 mins. But I ended up bullying them into giving me the 30 mins. They did say my key might stop working and to just stop by the front desk a they would make me a new one. Not sure I'd stay here again even though they tried to make things right for me.

From the very beginning, I knew that with Christina and her attentive team that we would be in great hands. The venue (612North) is housed in the once estate of Henry Shaw (Missouri Botanical Gardens). The look and feel of this venue is very a very on-trend and chic-poured floor, exposed brick sort of gig. The killers are the very tall picture windows on three sides which view is the newly face-lifted Gateway Arch. It was very fun to hear the gasps as people caught the sights and realized they could "almost touch The Arch". 612North Catering: Foodstuffs are created by the talent behind Drunken Fish...yes, their bespoke sushi is available, but also many other flavors and textures that show Drunken Fish and associated companies to be au courant and very formidable in St. Louis party eats. Macaroni and Cheese with shards of bacon, hot sauce or other mix ins. Crispy pillowed pot-stickers dipped in salty-sweet ginger goodness. Most memorable for me was their Flatbread Board. Flatbread pieces topped with varied things creating the perfect finger food. Tops in my book was a mellow Bechamel and Caramelized Onion, Gruyere and Thyme melded perfectly on a tender crust. Items of course can be tailored for your needs and desires. Once the party was humming along there was nothing for me to worry about. A major plus. Working with Christina was a dream. Communication was open and responses immediate. A (patrolled) public parking lot is mere feet from the entrance so attendees need not worry. Coat check included. If you want a fun, hip gathering place, 612North is happening and it's happening in Downtown's Laclede's Landing. There is no doubt we will use again.

I asked for the manager. The district manager came out and did zero to make things right except for bring over a new booster chair he smiled in our faces and seemed like he could absolutely care less. We didn't hear from him for the rest of the time that we were there. We will never come back.
