Hello Yelpers?,
Wow! -I had my post all written and when I came to post it just now I saw these 2 horrible reviews that had been posted.
I can't imagine how it is we're dealing with the same company.
The young lady I spoke with during my only phone contact with the company was quite polite and helpful.
As I state below, I did get my original set very quickly and now I've just received our second set in just as timely a manner. I had no problem at all with the quality as these previous posters apparently have. I did purchase the more expensive package but can't imagine that much quality difference between what I purchased and what the other 2 reviewers experienced; even if they purchased the less expensive package. The company did comment that they had inadvertently let part of a bad batch get shipped out but were happy to replace any of those upon request.
Maybe you guys didn't follow the instructions for installation -you can't just put these on as you would normal bed-sheets; which is why I helped my daughter install them. As far as I'm concerned they work and that's what's most important.
Below is my original intended post:
I just wanted to stop in and get a post up about a business you should know about if you have children (or even if you don't).
Last year before my oldest (daughter) was going to be leaving home for the first time to attend college I decided I wanted to visit the campus with her and I was specifically interested in what her living situation would be in the dorms.
While we were visiting the dormitory where my daughter would be residing while at school, some of the girls we spoke with mentioned that the previous year there was a minor bed bug problem. They didn't make a big issue of it and when I inquired further regarding the 'problem' they said it was not a full scale infestation and in fact a fairly isolated incident mainly only affecting 2 rooms.
When we got home I did some research to see how I could best prevent my daughter from being 'bed bugged' if there was
any degree of infestation in the dorm again this year.
I discovered American Wellness Supply sells 'bed bug' sheets specifically made to prevent bed bugs from making themselves at home in my daughters bed. The price for the sheets was reasonable and they arrived very quickly.
I went with my daughter when she moved into the dorm and made sure she used the new bed bug prevention sheets (I made the bed with her). I raised my daughter to be clean, never allowing her to let too much of a mess accumulate in her room before cleaning. I didn't think she would allow her living space to become a 'pig sty' but being a college dorm and knowing the busy lifestyle she'd be leading I talked to her about making sure to clean regularly, change her bedding regularly, and don't leave food lying around etc. Long story short - although there was another minor 'bed bug'
infestation my daughter, her room and bed were entirely unaffected. The AWS sheets really gave me peace of mind while my daughter was away at school as well as when she came home for visits (that she wasn't bring bed bugs back into our home).
For the cost involved I felt it was so worth it for my daughters protection and my peace of mind that this summer when my son goes away to camp he too will be equipped with a set of bed bug prevention sheets. I am fully aware that boys and camp are a lot dirtier in general than girls at college dormitory so I wanted to make sure my boy has these sheets for best defense and again, for my peace of mind. read more
