Well...the pro-owner agendas continue…read more.. 08/21/13-Wednesday, owner called & spoke to us advising Rick from Midwest would be out on Friday between 9 & 11 to put baits back in furnace area & drop. It's FRIDAY & where is Midwest??? Male owner has been out on property since approx. 8:40 a.m. No sign of Rick from Midwest!!! 11:45 a.m. we made attempts to now contact female owner at both numbers to no avail...just answering machine, so Midwest was contacted, 630-968-0200. 11:55 a.m. Rick returned call claiming he left messages at the house to which we stated not at this rental house as no calls have come in prior. He left two for owner apparently at both numbers for owner. Owner did not return calls to him as the claim now is that owner wanted to be notified before they came out (keep in mind male owner was on property also relayed to Rick). Rick now states he will be out in 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Shortly after this conversation, Male owner leaves. It is now 1:49 p.m., do you know where Midwest is? Rick was again called & now he stated he had two to three jobs that came in & it would be later. Do they treat all people like this or is it just the ones requiring working with owners that have specific medical conditions? Rick was now advised he would have to reschedule! Keep in mind approx. 12:25 p.m., Debra/Midwest called stating she also left messages for owner with no returned call, only having the two numbers we have, not having another number for male owner & that owners wanted a call before Midwest came out (this has never appeared to be the issue before). She also said that we should just forget it & wait til move out-Now it appears to us owners & Midwest have been conversing as tenant has not said this. She was advised that Rick said he would be out. Ultimatums have been given to us from owners in the form of, 1. go to extended stay for 3-4 days (this does not help if chemicals still linger or if apparatus is not contained & allows blowing of dusts/particulates), 2. Sign waiver holding owners/midwest/phil's company not liable should anything happen, 3. Wait until end of lease. It appears when you have allergies & chemical sensitivities...you're not wanted & very little accommodation occurs in the form of a more contained apparatus to prevent blow around of dust & other particulates, more filtration to contain particulates/chemicals, less toxic/irritant fumes, less allergic products which would require discussion with tenant who has allergies!

The first lie told to me was Debbie telling me that I would not get bit again once the specialist came out. I was also told that there was a four month guarantee for the services. Well, does that mean four months after being bug free? If that is the case, they would have to keep coming out indefinitely, as their product and service does not work and never eradicated the bedbug problems. I have a tiny (less than 300 square feet) apartment and the charged me $600. I paid with a credit card on a Sunday, and I believe that the exterminator was instructed to use a heavily diluted chemical or maybe just water for my unit, at least until the next day when they could be assured that the credit card would go through. The technician that came to my home was rude, indifferent and unprofessional to the point of belligerence. I attempted to ask general and specific questions about bedbugs and the treatment plan, but was for the most part ignored. The worst part of this story is that I had to call Midwest repeatedly to come back, which they did, but still I kept getting bit. Debbie, the receptionist, insinuated that I was not being truthful when I insisted that I still had the bugs. She instructed me to keep any that I found. I caught a couple live, which I put into a sandwich bag, and a couple dead ones as well were found. There were also two crawling on my living room wall near some pictures. This was after the third visit by Midwest. I was forced to buy protective mattress and pillow covers, as well as a new pillow. I threw out some items as well. My couch will be thrown out once I find someone to help me carry it out. I also purchased three cans of bedbug killing chemicals (so far), very annoying and expensive after paying $600. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Call Orkin or other reputable, legitimate company for extermination. BEWARE of any positive reviews on YELP, as they are paid for by the company or completely fabricated. Make sure you look at the reviews that are not recommended.

UPDATED REVIEW: I'm…read moreupdating my review because the owners of EZ Bed Bug has taken great measures to provide superb customer service after my initial review. They called and discussed my concerns and did everything in their powers to make it right. They even refunded my payment because of what happened. Their efforts certainly made me feel better as a customer and I can tell they were deeply apologetic and really do care about their customer's happiness. Now, this is what great customer service is all about! _______________________________________________________________________________ I was looking for a rodent control company and somehow EZ Bed Bug popped up. I only chose them because they were able to send someone immediately (same day). I had rats this year coming to my back patio and I couldn't get rid of them myself so I decided to call professional help. I caught a live one on a physical trap that got caught in a drain hole. Don, from EZ Bed Bug, said no problem, he'll be able to come and dispose the live rat plus treat the areas with bait station and prevent further rats. He sent an employee that was unprofessional from the start. He didn't have work attire, brought bait stations without poison and no equipment. I was hesitant to continue with them but knew I had to get rid of the live rat. So he continued and asked me for my own household equipment (broom, metal tongs and forks) to kill the rat because he had NO equipment with him. After about an hour, the rat was killed but he had to cut my electrical wire. Needless to say, I was very traumatized and upset about all this! I called Don right after the service and told him how upset I was. The only reason I paid them is because the poor employee was sweating kiling the rat. I told Don that his company was very unprofessional because 1) he didn't tell his employee that he was going to deal with a live rat 2) employee had no work attire and NO equipment with him and 3) had no rat poison to set in bait stations. Don said he would make it up and send someone the next day to fill the stations with poison which he did. But the subsequent follow ups for the next month were never completed. I called Don again for the other followups and he never picked up my phone or fulfilled the services. Do NOT use them - they are not professional!

He refunded some of my money and sent the guys over to my house again. They tried the heat treatment, but still weren't able to get the temperature high enough, although they did treat the room with pesticide which seemed to have done a good job. I did find some bugs still alive days after they left, but the owner assured me that the treatment will keep working even after several days. I was also told that a new heat machine was bought and that if I have any further issues, that I can call and they will return.

Bedbugs were in my clothes, in my books, in my shoes, sheets, begs, everything I used... There were on me crawling every night through my bed.. That was one of the worst experience in my life. When I moved to my new apartment (Elmwood Park), I decided right away to call bedbugs service and fortunately I found S & S Pest Control. I called them and they offered me the correct prize I could pay in three parts. The girl I talked to was very nice and professional and she gave me very precious instruction what to do and how to work with them to get rid of bags. So, I needed to wash everything and put in plastic bags. So, they (girl and a little older man) came first Saturday exactly at 9:00 am. With the smile on their faces, they finished everything in 10 minutes. Next week they came again and next week again. I followed their instruction and finally get rid of the most disgusting things in my life thanks to S & S Pest Control. I recommend them with all my heart. I sent out a few messages first thing Tuesday morning, and Bryan responded to me within 10 minutes even though it was well before they were technically open. He told me everything that they would need to check and confirm if they were rats or mice and why they were different. I asked if he could give me an estimate and he was up front about the cost, which I thought was reasonable. His team was out there first thing in the morning. They captured the rodent in her closet and laid out all of the additional traps, and ended up catching another one later in the day. I was most impressed by the professional systems Bryan has in place. He has a professional welcome email, text messaging system to confirm your appointment, detailed reports with pictures and notes about what was found, and then sends the invoice through email and you can pay easily online. I will certainly be going to Bryan for any pest issues at our rental property going forward and highly recommend his service.

Not a great experience, and honestly an uncomfortable one. I called on a Saturday last month to…read moreaddress the issue of a bird that had nested into a porch outside our bedroom. The company came out later that day for the inspection of the problem. I expected getting an estimate of the cost to remove the nest and bird and to schedule a time for the service at the end of the visit. This did not happen. The visit in all took more than 30 minutes. It started out fine but eventually Brian requested to walk my entire upper home and rooftop and outside backyard. Seemed reasonable. Then, he spent a lot of time discussing how much he admired my home and would love to have a rooftop like mine and just relax up there. Then he asked me if I was interested in buying his house brand mosquito bait for the seating area outside. I declined as I don't even have that problem. I was getting a very clear feeling that the estimated price was going to be inflated as he kept commenting on how 'nice' my home was. I kept circling back to asking how much this would cost and how quickly he could actually come and take care of the job. This was a Saturday and he said he wouldn't even have an estimate ready until Wednesday and wouldn't know when he has a opening for the removal quite yet. I was quite confused as I said on the phone I needed the matter dealt with quickly. He said he would send me an estimate, but he needed to balance how much he works each week. I'm not even sure what that means-- if you can't give the estimate, why come out to waste both our time? I wrote off the visit as a waste of my afternoon and that I would just need to find another company. However, He then emailed me a bill for $95 later that week-- with still no written estimate of how much it would cost to take care of the bird issue! I emailed back asking what the estimate was. He said the 95$ would be put toward my bill however at that point, I didn't even know what I'm paying for. He said I would need to pay the $95 to even see an estimate of how much the actual removal would cost. That is crazy! I have never left a negative Yelp review before, and I wasn't planning on even submitting a review for this company, but Brian just called me and rudely yelled at me to pay the bill. I told him I called another company later that week who also charged me for inspection but actually gave me the estimate and date for removal at the time of the visit and we got the job done for $100 total. This company told me this was a very simple straight forward job. I felt like I was being taken for a ride, with a demand of payment for no actual service. Many services (plumber, electrician Etc) have come to our home and some even charge for their time to give an estimate but i felt that this particular interaction was very awkward and unprofessional. And I still haven't even been able to see this estimate. Overall, I did not have a good experience.

He presented a contract for 5 -7 days of trapping (for $598), sanitizing treatment (for $495), and exclusion fencing around both the crawl space and the adjacent deck (for $1,999). I then called Animal Trackers Wildlife Company. Their agent was every bit as thorough and competent. He set a trap at the entrance of the skunk burrow (for $135 and with an additional $95 if he needs to reset it). The Animal Trackers Wildlife Company agent gave sound advice: 1. Block and cement the perimeter of the crawl space. Use garden pavers and concrete. Don't worry about the area under the deck since it's never been a problem. Clearing out the entire area under the deck wouldn't hurt. 2. Don't waste money on sanitizing. It doesn't help. "If there were some treatment to sanitize the smell away, we would be using it too!" 3. For forced air heating systems, change out the furnace filters every few days so that the order isn't forced to move all over the house. After spending $135 on trapping, I feel confident that the problem is well under way to be solved. The odor is nearly gone already just by ventilating the crawlspace. This is not the first time I have gotten extraordinarily expensive advice from Orkin or Orkin affiliates. My motive for posting this review is, in fact, to save other customers from needlessly expensive treatments when less expensive and equally effective alternatives are available.
