Several years ago, my husband had minor work done there and the service was great. I recently scraped part of my fender pulling out of a narrow garage door opening. It was suggested that I'd be better off to replace the entire fender. But I stopped by American Way at 3:30 on a Friday and Nick took a look at it. He took my car back to the shop and within 5 minutes, he returned and had buffed out the white paint on my black car. He told me I could bring the touch up paint back to them and they would apply it to complete the job. Best of all, when I asked how much I owed him, he said "nothing". I called to make an appointment and John asked me just come over. The location is clean and has a great classic car feel inside. The staff were super professional and took great care in preparing the estimate and telling me how the process worked with insurance. After a run in with a deer I used this shop because it is affiliated with my insurance company. Big mistake. At first everything seemed fine, they were very pleasant to work with and had my car back to me within a week. When I picked up the car I noticed that the driver side window was down a little. I didn't think much of it at the time. When I left work that day I noticed that the window wasn't sitting in the seal correctly. I tried rolling it up and down only to have it jump around in and out of the track. Considering the amount of damage the deer did (they had to replace everything on the driver's side of the car) I was surprised they had not also fixed this. I called them the next morning and they asked me to bring the car in which I did. When I got there I was informed that the damage had not been done in the accident, therefore they would not be repairing it. I was shocked to say the least. Not only had they not warned me about this when I picked up the car, but I can't believe they think the window was like that before the accident. I spoke with the owner and she was less than apologetic. I am now working with my insurance company to have the repairs finished at another shop. I will never use American Way again and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

We took our Mazda for front end repairs after a low impact collision. Two weeks after we received our "repaired" car back, the under carriage of the front bumper began to fall off on the highway on my way home from work. It was completely torn off by the road by the time I got home. My husband examined the car and found that the bolts attaching this part were completely missing. They were never replaced. We took it back to American Way the next day, and Miles said I must have hit something. It would have taken a major impact to cause this damage. My boss had the same exact experience here. We paid for the repair, and will never go back. Since then, we found that a head light connector wasn't secured, and it came loose. We will not patronize a business that won't stand by their work and make it right. read more
