How did it go? It didn't, and I hope this review doesn't get deleted because I didn't actually hire him and definitely won't. Ricky came out to give me a quote on installing some gutter and downspout warming cables as part of correcting ice dam issues. He was friendly on the phone but as soon as he began mansplaining how a roof works, how ice works, and how switches work, that was a bad sign. He mixed up my appointment for someone else, swore on the phone and was less than professional but he did arrive on time. When he began to tell me how ice dams happen, I said I already knew but he opted to explain it all to me again anyway. When it came time for him to close me, he was intensely pushy. Tried to upsell me on replacing the whole roof right then and there before costs go up. He asked if I was going to explain things properly to my husband or should he type things up. When I said I can explain, he made it very obvious didn't believe me. I ended up having to tell him there was a death in the family (which is true), we'll get back to you but he was not having it. He got heated and said he only comes out for quotes when he thinks he's got a customer, he made all this effort, that I've just wasted his time. He then proffered an insincere apology for saying that but man, he could really use a few customer service lessons. He left a bottle of pop behind, I said be sure to grab it. After already being unpleasant, he said "or you can bring it to me." When I didn't move he said, "or not." True professionalism. These are exactly the type of guys that give contractors a bad name, especially with women. One should never assume what a woman does or does not know. Having decades of architecture experience behind me, I'm pretty sure I get this. Use your best judgment. Updated to add: he is now harassing me by phone. Updated based on the insane response: Ricky is an unbelievable storyteller. I have never read such horrifyingly bad lies, wow. I absolutely did not and never ever would make any comments about anyone's race whatsoever, holy cow. Guess he missed the rainbow flag in my window. When you gotta pull the race card because you are that unprofessional, that's pathetic. Yeah man, wow, you need some serious help if you feel the need to fabricate like this. Play it out for all to read, knock yourself out, it's pretty hilarious actually. I guess it's tough being called out a mansplainer with a short fuse. Oh and free estimates are part of your business; no one is obligated to buy so get a grip, my friend. And feel free to give my father-in-law a phone call, check on his life status. I hired American Roofing and Construction to tear up and pour new steps in my gangway to fix the drainage. Ricky told me it was a two day job. It took over a month to complete, and another month for them to clean up after themselves. Overall he had 13 no-shows on scheduled work days. Ricky says this is fine because he got the work done eventually. If you like to be home when contractors are on your property and need to adjust your own work schedule this will be inconvenient. His team had to redo the steps three times but eventually had acceptable work. He took three weeks to come back to seal the concrete. He stopped responding to calls about cleaning concrete stains they left on my patio until he saw my reviews, then came and cleaned them. Ricky takes a lot of jobs, probably too many, and is very busy. Expect delays and frustration, but he'll eventually get your work done if you stay on him and hold him accountable. read more

Absolutely worst experience ! he comes an hour late , he can't get to the roof to inspect it and he and trying to give an estimate by having some one to take a picture! when I explain that he needs to see the roof , he tells me the difference on warranties he can provide, when I reply warranty is not as important as getting the leaks fixed since many companies won't even stay in business for 10yrs to honer their warranty! he gets really mad and starts using abusive words . read more
